这个故事讲了一个叫飞力的蚂蚁不小心闯祸，把上贡给蚱蜢的食物全都弄到了水里。蚱蜢的首领霸王变本加厉威逼蚂蚁必须准备两倍的食物给他们过冬。面对如此严重的欺压与纳索，飞力去大城市，请了杂技团的昆虫武士。他们制造假鸟，准备与霸王进行一次决战。因为为大家都知道蚱蜢最怕鸟类。但是失败了。面对蚱蜢军团的盛怒和抱复，在这紧要关头，飞力站出来对霸王说：“我们蚂蚁不是你们的奴隶，而是团结的整体。我们都很能干，是你们需要我们，而不是我们需要你们!”

这句话像一面反抗的旗帜高高飘扬。让所有的蚂蚁都觉醒了。他们一起齐心协力赶跑了蚱蜢军团。霸王也中了飞力的计策，死在大鸟的嘴里。
