在所有的粥食中，乡下孩子最盼望的便是香喷喷的腊八粥。之所以好吃，是因为腊八粥的原料很多，杂七杂八的有十多二十种，大多是我们平日里很少能吃到的东西。干果类的有红枣、杏干、花生米、香酥核桃仁、莲子，鲜果片儿有鸭梨、山楂、橘子瓣儿，杂粮类的更齐全，有江米、大麦仁、豌豆、大刀豆，除了这些，还有秋日里晾晒的一些干菜，有白萝卜干、胡萝卜条、扁豆角儿，有的人家还会放上冰糖、青红丝。
