a new year ,a new start, when i stand on the edge of the a new year, i cant help thinking about my plan of next year. just as the old saying:well began is the half of the success.so i decide that i should be at work while the others are still relaxing ,and then ,at the beginning ,im quicker than the others and of course i will get better result than the others. but ,what i really decide to do is that i must make good of anytime i can spare though it seems impossible. while, i will do my best to live up with what i have planned, and the result will prove it.

Three days ago we decided to visit the Great Wall.

Today we met at the bus stop early in the morning. When we were on the bus, we saw a lot of new buildings and new shops.Beijing was taller than before, I thought.

It took us about two hours to get to the Great Wall. When the Great Wall appeared in front of us, we couldn , t help thinking how wonderful it is! I wondered how the people in the past built it without modem machines. It is said you can see it from the space.I was proud of it.

After coming home I made up my mind to study harder than before. When I grow up, I will work hard to make our country more beautiful and stronger.

Last weekend, our class had a public benefit activity.

In fact, we went to nursing homes to recite English and Chinese texts and sing songs for them for the old ladies and men. In my opinion, the schoolwork now being assigned to high school students is too heavy. while it is true that students need to study, they need other things as well if they are to grow into healthy and well-rounded adults. high should be allowed more time for play. plying is not wasting time, as some think. it gives them physical exercise, and also exercise their imagination. which tends to be stifled by too much study.

Finally, the pressure put on high school students by excessive schoolwork can cause serious stress, which is unhealthy physically and mentally. i do not advocate the elimination of schoolwork. i do think, however, that a reduction of the current heavy load would be beneficial to students and to the society as a whole.
