当我提笔给你们写信时，我的脑海都会情不自禁地浮现出一袋袋发臭的垃圾，一张张被丢弃的纸屑，一个个腐烂的水果以及那一群群惹人讨厌的苍蝇。而你们，却默默地清理着大街小巷，清理着一个个沾满污迹的垃圾桶，用自己的劳动换取城市的洁净。说实话，一开始，我看见你们清理着一个个发臭的垃圾捅，心里感觉十分恶心，打心眼里讨厌你们，见到你们总是”敬而远之“。直到有一天，我才彻底改变了对你们的看法。

这是一个冬天的早晨，呼啸的寒风猛烈敲打着窗户。许多人还沉浸在浓浓的睡意里。大街上只有少许行人，他们为了防寒，让厚厚的羽绒服把自己裹得严严实实的，活像一个个”大肉团“。我和妈妈正赶去车站，忽然发现不远处有一个忙碌的背影，走近一看，才知道是一位清洁工。

这是一位饱经风霜的老人，他衣衫褴褛，衣服上蒙了一层灰，看不住原来的颜色，脸像抹了煤灰一般，嘴唇已经干裂，长长的袖口伸出一双布满皱纹而有些干裂的手，手背上一道道红色的伤痕触目惊心。他一手拿着扫把。一手拿着畚斗，一步一个脚印的扫着，不放过任何一处垃圾。那专注的神情，像在干一件伟大的事。

扫完了，清洁工靠在长椅上，长舒一口气，如释重负。

就在这时，远处走在一对着装时尚的青年男女，有说有笑。过了一会儿，那位男子竟把一个塑料袋随手扔在了大街上，被寒风吹得四处乱飞，在空中打着旋。清洁工连忙上前去踩住袋子，把它扫进了簸箕。随后，那位青年女子竟又若无其事地扔下了一个食品包装袋!这种事搁谁身上都会生气，我不由得在心里对那对男女吐出骂语。那位清洁工好像已经有句话到了嘴边，却又咽了下去。竟不厌其烦地扫了起来。
