(二)、自家种植：掌握简单的养护方法，进行剪枝修叶，养在家中，明年照样开花、挂果，不必丢弃造成资源浪费。

(三)、制成肥料：将年花、年桔集中烧掉成肥料，放回田地施肥。

(四)、花盆回收：由环卫处牵头，参照中秋节月饼盒回收计划，由义工联组织义工在东湖广场、长堤广场集中收集花盆，然后将这些花盆卖给花农，那些款项可以捐给慈善机构。
