A recent survey has been conducted on whether parents feel honored about their children in Zhonghua School. What is symbolically depicted in the bar chart above is that 80% parents regard their children as pride, while, to our surprise, only 60 in every hundred students hold the same viewpoint.

Such a striking contrast is there between the two perspectives that it reveals a common phenomenon. Parents and children hold different attitudes towards the issue. From where I am standing, two reasons are responsible for the finding.

The pictures tell us the issue of hunting jobs for college students is increasingly and seriously important in current days. What’s more , individuals, organizations and even the whole society have been attaching due attention to this issue. On one hand, when facing the pressure of finding a job, students are struggling painfully. The burden can cause not only depression but also anxiety and such problems as isolation and solitude. For one thing, instead of just earning their degrees and high exam scores, college students are expected to cultivate their potentials such as creation, imagination and coordination. Such qualities, though cannot be measured by their college certificates, really matter in their prospective career. For another thing, the educational institutions are supposed to integrate more practical training in their programs so that more netpetent college graduates can be produced for our society. Above all, the new awareness that all jobs are equal in dignity and that fame and excellence can be reached at any occupation should be promoted in the whole society.

高考英语写作紧扣教学大纲对考生书面表达的要求，以有指导的写作为主，要求考生在短时间内构思成文。由于它是对学生语言综合运用能力的考查，因此在高考中令很多考生感到十分苦恼，也是一个失分率很高的题型。对此，笔者有如下几条建议：

1上海高考英语作文命题特点

1.写作话题

每年高考在即，会出现许多对高考英语写作话题的预测，但这种具体的预测往往是徒劳的。分析近年来真题规律，上海市高考英语写作的话题都是跟高中生的生活密切相关，而非政治性或社会性话题。例如，2006年的话题是选择大学的问题；2007年的话题是礼物；2008年的话题是集体舞比赛；2009年是参加夏令营的课程；2010年则是学生上课情景。这些话题都源于高中生的日常生活。因此，考生不必担心无话可说。在备考过程也不必将过多精力放在一些重大的社会性及政治性话题上。

2.写作体裁

近年来，上海市高考英语写作从体裁上来说主要是偏重于叙议结合的文章，例如在2008年的高考中，考生首先要说明自己是否要参加集体舞比赛，之后要阐述自己的理由。又如，在2009年的高考中，考生首先要根据材料说明自己要参加夏令营的哪个课程，其次要阐述自己的理由以及描述一下希望从课程中学到的内容。刚刚结束的2010年高考题要求学生描述图片以及自己同时期上课的情景，再简单发表感想。纵观近三年的高考，都是夹叙夹议的文章，因此这种体裁的文章是考生接下来备考的重点。

2.如何写好高考作文

高考英语作文的考核目标是看学生能否根据题意连贯、贴切地进行书面表达。我们在写作时应注意：

1.认真审题，确定内容。弄清写作要求是写好作文的前提，也是书面表达的基础。审题时应注意以下几个方面：

1)审题时要确定文章的体裁。

例：(2010年高考)下图是小学新生的课堂一角，对照你当时的上课情况，做出比较并谈谈你的感受。你的作文必须包括：描述图片里学生上课的场景；比较你同时期的上课情况；简单谈谈你的感受。

这篇文章的内容必须覆盖题目给出的三块内容，其中前两项描述图片里学生上课的场景和比较你同时期的上课情况皆是记叙和描绘的部分。只有最后一部分简要发表感想是议论。

2)审题时，把握题目中的关键内容，以免跑题或遗漏。

例：(2009)高考作文：某海外学校举办英语夏令营，开设了如下课程：园艺(gardening)、烹调(cooking)、防身术(self-defense)、护理(nursing)。假如你是王跃华(不可以用自己的真实姓名)，写一封申请信，报名参加其中一门课程的学习。信的内容必须包括：你感兴趣的课程；你期望从这门课程中学到什么；为什么想学这些内容。

这个命题的关键内容有三块：是什么、为什么和学什么。很多同学在审题时把重点放在了为什么要学上，却忽略了想学什么这个关键内容。文章的主体段只交待了为什么要学习某个课程，却只字不提想学习这个课程的哪些方面，遗漏了关键的内容。

2.语言表达上要从三方面把好语言关。

1)准确性：在写作的过程中最好用自己熟悉的句型和词语，力求语言表达正确流畅。

2)句式多样性：在写作过程中，过多使用简单句和短句，会使文章显得罗嗦，幼稚。我们在书面表达时应学会合并短句，并注意句式的多样性。

3)语言恰当性：在高考英语写作时，还应注意用词的恰当性。有些同学喜欢用一些词汇等级较高的词以显示语言的水平，但若不贴切文章的内容，效果往往适得其反。比如，在一篇描写同学间友谊的文章中，用Itisuni－versallyacknowledgedthatfriendshipisveryimportanttous这样的语句来开头，就显得过大，十分不适合文章的主题和作者的身份。

3.组织结构上要做到结构正确，层次分明，运用适当的连接词使上下文连贯一致。

1)注意篇章结构，合理布局开始部分(Openingparagraph)——说出文中的要点、核心问题。正文部分(Bodyparagraphs)——围绕主题开展叙述、讨论。结尾部分(Concludingparagraph)——对全文的总结和概括。

2)运用适当的连接词使段落之间必须是有机地联系，内容完整、连贯。记叙文一般按照时间顺序来写，用一些表示先后顺序的连接词能使记叙的事件脉络更清楚。议论文中用一些连接词可以使文章层次分明，上下连贯。

3.高考作文的写作步骤：

高考写作理想时间是30分钟，最少不能少于20分钟，拿到考题后，写作的一般步骤为：

第一步：审题

第二步：谋篇布局

1)作文动笔之前一般都要先打腹稿。在确立中心上、运用材料上、篇章结构上，充分酝酿。

2)考虑好想写多少句子，该用哪些词汇和句型等。

3)边写边思考内容的连贯性，语言和句子的准确性

第三步：写后检查，写后复查全文，看内容要点有无遗漏，标点、格式、大小写是否规范，是否有语病，卷面是否整洁等。

Through radio, blackboard, speech competition, knowledge competition, the development theme class meeting, publicity of the importance of protecting our campus environment, the necessity, form "real small is my home, beautiful depends on everybody" good atmosphere; Start everyone from yourself and start with the little things around you. As the saying goes, "do not be small but do not be evil." Get into the habit of not littering, spitting, not scribbling, trampling on the lawn, moving, bending, and so on. The college entrance exam is a big exam for students, they have learned so many years for the purpose of entering the college. For most person, they have the very deep impression about the big exam, it has changes so many people’s destinies. I had taken part in the exam, I remember it clearly, the situation just like happened yesterday.

I studied so hard, in those days that were nearing the exam, all the students focus their attention on the study, we fought together. The paper and the books were piled up our desks, when I entered the classroom, I hardly could see my classmates’ heads. Though it was the tough days for us, we felt happy, because we fought for our future, we believe what we do will bring us a promising future. These memories will linger on my mind forever.

A Summer Camp

This summer, I had some special days. I joined Dongzhou International Educational Exchange Summer Camp.

First, I will tell you about our foreign teachers, they are Shrina and Rebecca. They are friendly and beautiful. They are students at Oxford University.

We talked about many things: famous people, subjects in England, different jobs, our deal days, western star signs, what can we say in a restaurant and so on.

We know lots of things, like what the difference is between “chef” and “cook”, all the parts of the body…

We tried to write a letter to Principal Zhang. We made a play and we drew our own comics and tried to sell it. We gave some other students English lessons, we taught them about Chinese Dragon, Chinese Martial Arts and the Olympics.

Every afternoon, we played exciting games: Chinese Whispers, Tongue Twisters, Wheelbarrow, egg and spoon, three legs…

On the last day, we had a good time. We made black tea. We put tea bags, some milk and lots of water in to a big bowl, and then we stirred the tea until it became red and dark. Oh, it tasted good! Later, we used eggs, flour and milk to make many pancakes. To cook them is very interesting. When we finished it, the pancakes looked round and nice. We put some jam on it. How delicious! I won’t ever forget it.

The summer Camp is a really good chance for me. I know the local things in England. I learned a lot and like English more. I also know better ways to learn English well.

I hope one day I can see you in England.

真相是谣言的天敌。确保公众及时通过权威渠道获取最新、最准确的信息，是对抗谣言的第一要务。在权威信息与“小道消息”之间，权威信息越是精准、及时，就能获取越多人的信赖，进而压缩“小道消息”的生存空间。反之，如果权威信息处于缺位状态，人们自然会去寻找各种“小道消息”，以满足其对信息的需求。

不是真相的“东风”压倒谣言的“西风”，就是谣言的“西风”压倒真相的“东风”。对此，有关部门还须以公开透明的原则为指导，做好信息发布工作，以真相对抗谣言。

面对疫情，恐慌是一种难以避免的情绪，但越是如此，我们便越是要努力克服这种情绪造成的负面影响。过度的恐慌不仅是谣言的温床，也可能促使人们做出一些不理性的举动，譬如盲目就医、抢购物资等等。这些举动不仅会影响医疗秩序，冲击物价，还可能造成交叉感染，使疫情进一步恶化。为此，媒体、专业人士应努力将科学的防疫方法告知更多的人，让人们认识到恐慌无用，并掌握自我鉴别、自我隔离的基本方法，从而平抑恐慌情绪。这不仅能够降低社会风险、维护社会秩序，也能让有限的防疫资源用到最需要的地方。

为克服恐慌情绪，所有人都要加强科学素养和媒介素养，遵循权威信源的专业建议，践行最合乎理性的防疫方法。具体而言，应当认真做好个人防护，已经生病的人要听从医嘱对症下药，而不是盲目就医。要减少不必要的外出与聚会，不轻信来历不明的防疫方法，不传播无法证实的虚假消息。不论是抵抗病毒、抵抗谣言还是抵抗恐慌，每个人都要把自己当成一道防线，由此成为防疫工作的正面助力。

This years observance of World No Tobacco Day focuses on "Gender and tobacco, with an emphasis on marketing to women".

Although fewer than 1 out of 10 women are smokers, that still adds up to an estimated 200 million women around the world. Moreover, that number could grow, since the tobacco industry is spending heavily on advertisements that target women and associate tobacco use with beauty and liberation.

Would My Father Have to Operate父亲得动手术吗

I was waiting for the doctor to finish his examination.I was worried and nervous.Would my father have to operate?Would a blood transfusion be necessary?What would he have to say?

Dr Lin was a heart expert.He was an excellent doctor and his examinations were always complete.He listened to the patients heart,took his blood pressure and temperature,gave him an X-ray and examined his eyes and ears.The doctor finall completed his examination and spoke to me.He told me that heart trouble is never a minor illness,but this wasnt a serious heart attack.He advised losing weight,getting plenty of sleep and eating good meals.Smoking and drinking would be harmful,of course.Dr Lin said it would be necessary to be careful for a while,but he was confident that there was nothing to worry about.

I felt much better after I spoke to Dr Lin.I was certain that my father would be up and around again very soon.Hes seventy five years old now,but he can still live for a long time if he takes good care of himself.

Whenever I have a party, Hsiao-mei is always the first person I invite. She is such fun. I know that she will be able to make my other guests laugh. She does not get upset if somebody tries to tease or make fun of her, either. Hsiao-mei can also be very serious and can discuss almost anything you can think of. If it gets late before the party ends, I can always depend on Hsiao-mei to clean up the house. She never says no, even if she is very tired and would rather go straight home to bed.
