I am twenty-three years old and have an honors degree in Botany from Bath University. Since leaving university I have been working in a research laboratory but my contract comes to an end in six weeks. I would particularly like to join the expedition for the opportunity it would give me to study the plant life of the area.

I had an unforgettable birthday party when I was thirteen years old. Before

that, I had never invited my friends to my birthday party and it was my first

time to do that. When the party began, we had chocolate and juice at home and we

played a funny game. My friends gave me a lot of gifts, I liked them very much.

Later we went to a restaurant and had a big dinner. I had a birthday cake with

thirteen candles. I blew out them. My friends said, “Happy birthday to you!” I

was so excited. I cut the cake into pieces and gave them to everyone. I did not

do well in it, but we laughed and laughed. We were happy that day.

我努力站直，目光直视。教官站在旁边，偶尔踢着正步，偶尔低头思考，不言不语，像一个孤独的，可爱的根号三。用余光瞟着教官笔直的背影，那是屹立在风中永远不倒的树!

轮到我了，我走到老师跟前，让老师用手帕蒙住我的眼睛，然后在原地转三个圈，再往前走。当走到黑板那里准备贴鼻子时，我想摸到小白兔的眼睛再贴上去。因为小白兔的眼睛是特别用一小块红纸贴的。结果我把小白兔右边的脸给擦了，我就把鼻子直接贴了上去，我立刻拿开手帕一看，看见我把鼻子贴到小白兔的下巴去了，同学们看见了，都哈哈大笑起来。有的笑得前俯后仰，有的捧腹大笑，还有的笑得连眼泪都快流出来了。

我觉得这个游戏真是太好玩，下次有机会我还要再玩一次呢！

星期天早上，小明正在写作业的时候，听到外面有哗啦哗啦的声音，原来下起了大雨。他心想：妈妈快回家了，但是她没有带雨伞，一定会被淋湿的，我得去给妈妈送伞。

于是小明赶紧穿上雨衣和雨鞋，拿起雨伞，冲进雨中。

小明急急忙忙地跑向了公交车站，他等呀等，15路公交车终于到站了。妈妈下车了，小明马上把伞递给了妈妈。

妈妈十分意外，对小明说：“谢谢小明，你真是一个懂事的好孩子。”小明昂起头说：“这是我应该做的。”

风雨中，小明和妈妈开心地回家了。

“倒功准备，开始!”几乎整整一个早上，操场上都回荡着马教官洪亮有力的命令声。大家在教官的指导下，做了一系列动作：右拳击左掌，蹲马步，左右出拳。接着，马教官大喝一声“倒!”全班44人都倒下了，只有一个女生还坐着。

教官看着她，向她走来。女生神色慌张，努力地躲着教官的目光。她扭扭捏捏的看了看教官，豆大的汗珠划过她的脸颊。“报……报告教官，地上有水，我，我趴不下来……”她支支吾吾地说道。的确，昨天的一场大雨使坑坑洼洼的地方积了很多水。在平时，我们连踩都不会踩一下，更何况是趴呢?但教官说的对，来到这儿就是吃苦的，我们要收敛收敛在家里的公主少爷的脾气。在教官的喝斥后，女生咬了咬牙，慢慢地趴下来，与其他同学对齐。

然后，大家进行了第二次卧倒，虽然每个人都趴在了地上，可动作有前有后，趴在地上也参差不齐。没办法，第三次!第四次……我快速调整好位置，在教官一阵短促有力的命令后，我毅然倒下。太阳像火一样烤着大家的脸颊，但没有教官的命令，我们都得像稻草人一样一动不动。即使再热再痛，我们也要坚持住!

在很久很久以前，蜗牛一家都非常穷，这可愁坏了它们呀！

到了夏天，小蜗牛觉得好热呀！它路过一条小溪，它想：如果我能进去乘凉的话，那该多好呀！想着想着，它便爬进了河里边，好凉爽啊！不知不觉中，它爬上了荷花的花蕊中睡着了，荷叶姐姐微笑着看着信，给上面增添了荷花的图案，还把小蜗牛送到了河对岸。

时间一点一点流逝，当小蜗牛醒来时，已经是秋天了，它感到好饿呀！它爬上了树林里的一棵桂花树，兴奋地啃着花朵，桂花在信的身上带了一点清香。

冬天到了，小蜗牛终于把信送到了长颈鹿奶奶手上。奶奶打开信，闻到了一阵清香，看到了上面的荷花图案，还感受到了一丝温暖，微笑着竖起大拇指对它说“小蜗牛，你真是太棒啦！”

星期天，小明在家里津津有味地看书，突然，外面下起了大雨，雨水像从天而降的天兵天将。小明推开窗户一看，自言自语地说：“哎呀，妈妈今天出门没带伞，这会儿快要下班了，我要赶紧去送伞，不然妈妈会变成‘落汤鸡’的。”

My favorite Sports is basketball. It looks so cool in TV that I was crazy

about those basketball stars ever since I was little.

Basketball requires speed, height and skills. I run, jump, switch, and try

to hit! All parts of my body are exercised in this sport. I feel that I’m like

wind flying in the playground for my goal, which makes me feel so GREat!

Basketball needs quick reaction and decision. When chance comes, it may

disappear in the next second. I should keep an eye watching as an eagle, decide

and judge quickly as a leopard, and run for it as a wolf.

Further more, basketball is a sports more than just exercising, It needs

team work. No one can play himself. A team should work together. So I learn to

cooperate with others in this game. I should understand what my teammate doing

and what he needs me to do for him. On the other side, I should learn to show my

teammate what I need. At the same time, I need to keep an eye on the whole game,

knowing how is the situation of our team and how is the other team. It involved

more cooperation and strategy.

I played basketball more for about 5 years now. I make many good friends

throught this sports. It is proud to win honor for my team and my school. Also I

enjoy all games with my friends. Basketball will be my best friends in the

future and my best memory about school life.

一个阳光明媚的上午，猴子、小熊、大象、小鸟和小鸭子一起结伴去游玩。

突然，小鸭子一不小心，掉进了一个很深的洞里。这可把她急坏了。她一边扑闪着翅膀用力地向上跳，一边大声地喊：“救命啊！救命啊！谁来救救我啊！”小动物们听到了，连忙赶了过来。猴子一溜烟地爬上树，折下一根最长的树枝，伸进洞里，对小鸭子说：“你快抓住树枝，我把你拉上来！”可是不管怎么跳，小鸭都抓不到树枝。

这时，大象站了出来，说：“让我来试试看吧！”说着，把自己的长鼻子伸进了洞里，对小鸭子大喊：“小鸭子，你快抓住我的鼻子，把你拉上来！“小鸭子伸出爪子，使劲地抓，可洞太深了，根本就抓不着。小鸭又着急又难过地说：“这可怎么办呀？这可怎么办呀！我上不去了！”

小鸟安慰她说：“你别着急，既然洞太深，你够不着，那我们就飞进洞里，把你带出来吧！”说完，小鸟就飞进洞里，让小鸭抓住她的脚，但是小鸭太重了，两只小鸟怎么也飞不起来。

一个春天的早上，阳光灿烂。鸡妈妈孵出了四只小鸡，这一天，它带着四只小鸡去捉虫子了。鸡妈妈告诉小鸡捉虫子的方法。可是有一只小鸡心不在焉，它看见栅栏上的五彩缤纷的牵牛花，便走了过去。

正在小鸡欣赏牵牛花的时候，一只狡猾的野猫看到了，它馋得直流口水，心想：要是我能吃上这又肥又胖的小鸡肉，该多好啊！可是，在它面前有一排栅栏，该怎么办呢？后来，它想出来一个妙计，它从地上捡起一根树枝，在树枝上绑了一只又肥又大的虫子，走到了小鸡面前，说：“小鸡，你看这条虫子，多好吃啊！你想吃吗？”小鸡从没见过这么大的虫子，便一步步地向野猫走去。小鸡刚走出栅栏，野猫便猛地扑到小猫身上，把小鸡抓住了。

就在这时，母鸡妈妈看见了，赶忙跑过来打野猫。母鸡妈妈先用翅膀打野猫的屁股，把野猫的屁股打红了，然后用爪子去抓野猫的脸，把野猫的脸抓红了，野猫痛得直喊求饶，趁鸡妈妈不注意，赶紧逃跑。

小鸡得救了，它在鸡妈妈面前哭着低下了头，鸡妈妈抚摸着小鸡的头，告诫它下次再也不能乱跑了，小鸡听了直点头。

母鸡妈妈继续带着鸡宝宝们捉虫子去了。
