母亲原来您板着脸是因为希望我有一颗上进心，一直上进，在学习上不断进步，希望我有一个好的未来。母亲我看见了您的另一面，您这是爱子的表现啊！但您的孩子只希望你能笑一下，看着您每天憔悴的样子，作为孩子的我只想让您开心一下，希望您能稍微放松一点……

My English teacher is a woman of medium-height. She is in her thirties. She always has a smile on her face and a kind word for her students. As she is also a little plump, she gives people the impression that she is a patient, responsible and easygoing teacher. This picture of my teacher is true. She devotes herself to the cause of education. She prepares and organizes her lessons so well that we are fully attentive in her class. After class she often gives lessons to the students who have been absent from school because of illness. With her help we have become more and more interested in our English study. Whenever we have problems we will turn to her for help. As a matter of fact, she is more an intimate friend to us than a respected teacher. We have learnt a great deal from her devotion to her work, her conscientiousness in teaching, and her readiness to help others.

“在熊熊的火焰中，使你超越铁，成为钢”，这是我的文学偶像刘墉的一句话，是啊，这句话的意义是多么深啊！在烈火中，你只有两个选择，1、你在烈火中燃烧了自己，2变成钢，但你必须成功，因为你不能失败！

世界作家千千万，我先不说白话文笔祖鲁迅，也不议论获得诺贝儿文学奖的莫言，而我却单单是爱他，一个拥有自己写作风格的刘墉，我第一次看他的书时，在封面是看到了他的照片，人的第一印象真重要，在他的眼神中，我看到了使我震撼，自尊、自爱、与不放弃，就这样，我开始阅读口味他的书，书读的多了，就开始呜呼哀哉他的人生：“他是一个很认真生活，总希望超越自己的人，他大而慈祥的眼睛上卡着一副圆圆的眼镜大的额头充满了智慧。他不但是一位伟大的作家，还是一位相当厉害的画家。但他的童年也是颇为悲惨的，他1949年生于台北，1958年丧父，1962年家中失火与母亲在一间草屋里生活，1965年又因肺病休学，这样悲惨的童年，没让他放弃理想，凭着多年来的努力，终于成为了一位成功人士！”他的人生并不顺利，可仍然能取得今天的成就，是啊“我们最强的对手，不一定是别人，而可能是我们自己！在超越别人之前，先得超越自己”——刘墉。

他的众多书中我认为《我不是教你诈》这本书是最令我难忘的，它告诉我们“我不是孝你诈，是孝你认识别人的诈，不要用它来为害，只是用它来避害”。这本书是利用各种各样的现实小故事来向人反映真实的社会情况，教会我们如何在社会生存。

这，就是我心中的刘墉，每当我遇到不开心，难以解决的问题，一看他的书就会多少给我一些提示，他与我心灵上的交流是在我读哪位作家的书中所感受不到的。我心中的刘墉，我永远都是你的“铁杆粉丝”！

能作为我的偶象，吸引我的不单单是他的文采和过人的老化，他还有一颗同大海一般广阔的爱心，他用他的版税已经帮助了两百多个大中学生就学，并捐建了薇薇希望小学等四十所学校。正如他的三本书《超越自己》《创造自己》《肯定自己》书中的含义那样，人活着不但要做些有意义的事情，要想让自己的未来精彩，就要做到刘墉所说的那样：“父母不能帮你走未来的路，我们未能突破，因为不想突破，只有在熊熊的火焰中，使你超越铁，成为钢”。
