While canadians celebrate on the second Monday of October. I have a penfriend in America. He wrote to me his Thanksgiving Day last year. He told me that it was a time for family reunion. Nowadays, English has become the international standard language. As China is stepping to the internationalization, learning English is more and more important. But many people find it hard to learn English well. According to my own learning experience, I think determination, read English materials and patience are the most significant.

First of all, doing everything needs determination. Determination is a prerequisite to do something. 我的家乡真武场，原来是坐落在綦江河边一个不起眼的小乡场。最近几年却声名远播，成为重庆市第二批历史文化名街区，江津区第五个古镇。这是怎么回事呢？

原来，这和真武场现存的几幢古建筑有关。这儿保存有重庆市最集中的客家移民会馆群，那就是广东客家会馆南华宫、福建客家会馆天上宫、江西客家会馆万寿宫和望乡台。听老辈人说，客家移民会馆就是外省人到这儿来修的房子。百年前，真武场是綦河边上的水码头，货船云集，人口兴隆，是块风水宝地。很多外省人迁来这儿生活，他们为了方便同省的家乡人居住，就修建了这些客家会馆。它们都具有南方建筑的特色，庄重、纯朴。我看到这些会馆大门两边石门框上苍劲古朴的对联，粗大的柱子，残缺破损但原貌尚存的墙壁，雕花的窗格，弧形高大的围墙，仿佛让我们看到了当年的繁华热闹。

在真武场东面的小山上，客家人修了一幢建筑，名叫“望乡台”。多么富有诗意的名字啊！让人想起唐朝大诗人王维的名句：“独在异乡为异客，每逢佳节倍思亲。”家乡，是我们生根发芽的地方，是我们感情寄托的地方，是我们永远不能忘怀的地方。客家人的思乡之情，激起了我对家乡更加的热爱。

本来另外还有好几处客家会馆建筑，但在三十年前因为建设新房子被拆掉了，真可惜！比如我们真武小学以前就是“三元庙”的旧址，这儿曾经是真武场最大的古庙宇，许多四十岁以上的人都还记得当年建筑的样子。据说是三个外来的和尚筹钱修建的。“三个和尚没水吃”的故事家喻户晓，但我们这儿的三个和尚团结友爱，不但修好了雄伟的建筑，还在后面挖了一口深井。井水清凉可口，至今还造福着我们真武小学的几百师生。在抗战时期这儿曾经是一所中学，当年的一位外地学生后来成为我国著名的天文学家。在几年前他回到真武场回忆青年时期的足迹，这个节目还在中央12台播出。

除了客家会馆，还有一个不得不提的“马家洋房”。在沿河的街道上，有一栋以白、灰、黑为主的三层楼房，方方正正，每一层的走廊上都是连排的高大拱形建筑，典型的欧洲风格。周围辅以雕楼、大片的平房及高大的围墙，整个庄园气势宏伟，占去真武老街的四分之一。这就是“马家洋房”，建于1920年。它是江津市唯一现存的欧式建筑，是真武场的地标式建筑。围墙下的条石磨损厉害，仿佛诉说着岁月的沧桑；围墙上的弹孔依稀可见，仿佛印证着当年的传奇……

今天，我们班竞选班长了。`我成为了新的班长。我很高兴，不过我现在仍然很紧张。竞选开始的时候，我好紧张，我都可以听到我的心怦怦跳了。我努力了很长一段时间才平静下来。然后我才走向讲台开始我已经准备好的演讲。在演讲的时候，我觉得我的大脑一片空白。在竞选之前，我对这一职位是很有信心，但当我站在讲台上时还是很紧张。幸好提前准备了；否则，我肯定很难堪。不过结果却是我想要的。这是一件值得开心的事

I had a joyful summer vacation。 During the holidays， I traveled with my families。 We went to Beijing and stayed there for four days。 We lived in the hotel。 It is very beautiful。 We visited to the Tiananmen Square， the Imperial Palace， the Summer Palace and the Old Summer Palace。 We also went to the Great Wall。 The weather was very hot， but we were exciting。 I like Beijing very much。 I hope I can go there again。

My favourite great book is The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain.

Tom Sawyer is a lively and clever boy. He lives with his aunt Polly. His

aunt is strict with him, so he runs to an island in the middle of the

Mississippi River with two friends, Huck and Joe. With Huck, he goes looking for

treasure; with Becky, he gets lost in a cave. And finally Tom and Huck find a

box of gold. Tom is the hero of the story, but there are other important

characters. Becky is pretty with fair hair. Huck is Toms best friend, and Injun

Joe is the bad man of the story.

The theme of the story is to do with children growing up and becoming more

serious.

时光飞逝，短暂而又愉快的假期生活已经结束了。接下来我所面临的是紧张而又愉快的新学期的教育教学生活。为把新学期的教育教学工作做好，特此作如下教学计划：

一、指导思想。

坚持马列主义，毛泽东思想。高举邓小平理论伟大旗帜，认真学习教育理论，贯彻“三个代表”重要指导思想，积极响应和贯彻素质教育钻研素质教育的实质。“减负”的内在，并以此指导自己的教育教学工作，遵循教育教学规律，紧扣大纲，把我教学层次，不断提高自己的业务水平。

二、基本情况。

这一学期，我继续担任初一(1，2)班的英语教学工作。这两个班级，每班各有学生三十五人左右，但是，基础却不尽人意。初一.1班的学生基础还可以，但是2班的基础却相差很远，学生基础参差不齐，两极分化严重，没有学习的兴趣。因此，教学工作开展的相当困难。

三、教材特点。

初中英语第一册(下)主要介绍了日常生活的交际用语以及一些西方国家的文化背景和风俗习惯，教材通俗易懂，旨在使初一级学生基本能用英语进行简单的交流。

四、教学目标。

力争在期末考试中优秀率打到30%左右，及格率达到60%左右。缩小学生间的差距。为下一学期的英语教育教学工作打下以良好的基础。

五、具体措施。

1、每天背诵课文中的对话。目的：要求学生背诵并默写，培养语感。

2、每天记5个生词，2个常用句子或习语。实施：利用“互测及教师抽查”及时检查，保证效果并坚持下去。

3、认真贯彻晨读制度：规定晨读内容，加强监督，保证晨读效果。

4、坚持日测、周测、月测的形成性评价制度：对英语学习实行量化制度，每日、每周、每月都要给学生检验自己努力成果的机会，让进步的同学体会到成就感，让落后的同学找出差距，感受压力。由此在班里形成浓厚的学习氛围，培养学生健康向上的人格和竞争意识。

5、对后进生进行专门辅导，布置单独的作业，让他们在小进步、小转变中体味学习的快乐，树立学习的自信，尽快成长起来。

6、关注学生的情感，营造宽松、民主、和谐的教学氛围。

7、实施"任务型"的教学途径，培养学生综合语言运用能力。

8、在教学中根据目标并结合教学内容，创造性地设计贴近学生实际的教学活动，吸引和组织他们积极参与。学生通过思考、调查、讨论、交流和合作等方式，学习和使用英语，完成学习任务。

9、加强对学生学习策略的指导，为他们终身学习奠定基础。

10、认真钻研教材，备好，上好每一节课，向45分钟要质量。

总之，新的学期已经开始了，我要以上一学期的基础为起点，树立信心，全身心的投入到新学期的教育教学工作中去。争取在新的一年里，把教育教学工作推向一新的层次。
