Because of the fiction movie 2012 which describes a horrible scene that the whole world was destroyed by earthquake, volcano and tsunami, the view of doomsday is making a great clamor. Mayans predicted December 21, 2012 is the end of the world and the sun of 22th will never rise again.

Though it is now seems that this prediction is just a nonsense without any scientific support, it did provoke peoples thinking about environment. In awake of the prediction, we cant help asking why this horrible prediction happen? I think one answer may be related to the environmental degradation. 可是不查不知道，一查吓一跳。

啊!原来我们国家的矿产资源被开采得很严重，其中最容易发生意外的是煤矿倒塌。

两年前，山西省中兴煤业一个矿洞突然倒塌，导致一个工人死亡。

事后，老板赔钱给死者家属，意图平息此事，最后还是被发现。

这些资料告诉我们，一些商人只顾利益，而不管一切地开采，使我们的地球母亲千疮百孔，希望大家一定要保护好地球。

Nowadays, a new lifestyle called carbon life is spreading every corner of our country. The conceps of low carbon are low energy and no waste. Firstly, a no-car day is supposed to set up every week in our city. Because cars not only cause serious air pollution but also waste energy. Its a good idea to go to school or go to work by bus,on foot and bu subway.

Secondly, we had better not use plastic bags any more. Nobody can stand the "white pollution".As we all know, people cant get the free plastic bags in the shops or supermarkets.
