Mothers Day Mother’s Day is a holiday when children honor their mothers with

cards, gifts and flowers. In many countries, such as Denmark, Finland, Italy,

Turkey, Australia and the US, people cel lebrate Mother’s Day on the second

Sunday in May while many other countries of the world celebrate their own

Mother’s day at different times through out the year.

One of the best ways to celebrate Mother’s Day is to give your mom the day

off. Let her relax with the rest of the family doing all the housework. Usually,

dad and the kids will let mom sleep late that morning as they go into the

kitchen to prepare her favourite breakfast. Never forget to place a vase with a

single flower on the table beside the food. The kids can pick up the flower from

the garden or buy one from the shop. Arrange everything nicely before mom wakes

up. Some families will carry the food and mom’s favourite sections from the

newspaper to her bedroom so that mom can have breakfast in bed. Presents and

cards from the kids can be handed to mom by themselves or just placed on the

金秋十月，盛世华诞。天安门前，大阅兵那威武雄壮的场面，仍在我们的脑际反复展现。而在天安门的后面，就是中国乃至世界现存最大、最完整的古代宫殿建筑群。今天就让我们随着黄传惕的文章一起去游览那宏伟壮丽的宫殿。

（二）学生浏览课文，熟悉课文内容

1、请同学合上书，一起欣赏《故宫博物院》的介绍影片。看完之后，请说说你知道了故宫里的哪些建筑物？

（学生凌乱地说出一些建筑物的名称，教师点评：“如果不按一定顺序来介绍事物，就没办法向别人说清你所要介绍的对象”。）

2、请同学们打开书本，结合课后“研讨与练习一”自读课文，一边读一边画出文中建筑物的名称，并把它们按顺序排好。

（三）看故宫平面示意图，了解文章的说明顺序和文章的详略安排。

1、 教师演示故宫的平面图，各种建筑物由南到北依次出现。

2、 教师提问：作者在介绍故宫时是按什么顺序写的？

（学生回答：按照由南到北的游览顺序行文的。）

3、 教师提问：文中出现的宫殿名称不下十个，不可能面面俱到，请问作者详写了哪些宫殿？

（学生回答：详写了三大殿中的太和殿）

（四）细读文中描写太和殿的段落，了解如何详写说明对象。

1、教师提问：文中哪些段落是详写“太和殿”的？

（学生回答：5-8段是写太和殿的）

2、请四名同学每人读一段5-8段的内容，并用自己的话概括一下“你读的这一段，介绍了太和殿的哪个方面）

（学生回答：第5段：外观（大小、颜色、构造）；第6段：内饰；

第7段：位置；第8段：功用。）

3、细读文章第6段，看看作者是如何介绍太和殿的内部陈设的。 （学生细读课文后，讨论得出：作者是按照容中间到两边，由平视到仰视，即从下到上的顺序来写的。）

4、教师强调：在对室内进行介绍时，一定要先选好立足点，再围绕这个立足点用准确的方位词介绍其它事物。

5、教师提问：作者为什么要详写太和殿呢？

请同学齐读课文的第一段和最后一段，看看它们在文中起到什么作用？

在介绍规模宏大的建筑物时，要有一定的方向性，按浏览顺序来介绍；在介绍内部陈设时，一定要选好立足点，用准确的方位词来介绍；在材料的安排上一定要有详有略、重点突出。

Once， when I was a teenager， my father and I were standing in line to buy tickets for the circus. Finally， there was only one family between us and the ticket counter.

This family made a big impression on me. There were eight children， all probably under the age of 12. You could tell they didnt have a lot of money.

Their clothes were not expensive， but they were clean. The children were well-behaved， all of them standing in line， two-by-two behind their parents， holding hands. They were excitedly jabbering about the clowns， elephants， and other acts they would see that night.

Hope Project is a Chinese public service project organized by official organization. It aims to help children go back to school, build Hope Primary School and improve rural conditions in poor regions.

In many poor areas in China, there are many school age children cant go to school because their families do not have enough money. As a result, they have to stay at home and help their families do the farm work. We often say that knowledge changes fate. Therefore, only study can help them go to the outside world and change their lives, even change the poor condition of their hometown. Currently,my school is launching an activity whose theme is that actions change the world to advocate the low carbon living.

I was so busy in the previous winter holiday for I am going to take the

university entrance exam in July this year. Everyday, I buried myself in

studying. I had to review each required subject and do lots of exercises.

Besides, because I did bad in mathematics and physics, I had to do much more

exercises than other courses, which made me discouraged. I spent more than ten

hours a day in studying. When I was tired, I watched TV or listened to music for
