质子治疗是目前全球范围内，肿瘤放疗领域最尖端的放疗方式，质子治疗技术，优于一般的X线和伽玛线，质子治疗的射程能量是依赖性的，不同能量的质子可在不同的深度形成快速的峰状能量释放形式，这种高能量峰在物理学上称之为“博拉格峰”，有效的破坏了癌细胞，从而达到了治疗甚至治愈肿瘤的目的。
