I am twenty-three years old and have an honors degree in Botany from Bath

University. Since leaving university I have been working in a research

laboratory but my contract comes to an end in six weeks. I would particularly

like to join the expedition for the opportunity it would give me to study the

plant life of the area.

blooming.besides mypersonal interests,i think the most in portant reason. why i like spring is that spring signifies hope and progress.it assures us a promising season of summer and also the most iportant havvest seaso-autum.i love sprig.

for going on with my further studies， i took the entrance examination in a senior middle school last week。 i still remember there were more than three hundred candidates taking part in this examination。 for the first day， in the morning， chinese was easy。 we were required to write a composition of 250 words on "my home life"， and give definitions and illustrations to twenty phrases。 in the afterno on， we took an english examination。 there were dictation， sentence formation， and analysis for oral english。 in the oral examination， i was questioned about my home life， my experience in the junior middle school and my future prospects。

on the second day， we were examined on history and geography in the morning and physics and chemistry in the afternoon。

Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the world. One of the most serious problems is the pollution of air, water and soil. The polluted air does great harm to people’s health. The polluted water causes diseases and death. What is more, vegetation had been greatly reduced with the rapid growth of modern cities.

Luckily, governments of many countries have done a lot to protect the environment. Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution.

To serve as responsible stewards of the planet, we must promote and popularize a low-carbon life among the public from every detail in our daily life. Firstly, we should walk or ride bikes instead of driving cars. Secondly, when we leave our house, we would better turn off the lights, fans and air-conditioning. In brief, low-carbon lifestyle is nothing but the best choice for us and only in this way can we form a harmonious relationship with the environment.
