My View on Helping Others in Need

In modern society we are often sorry to see that people are reluctant to help others out, not to mention helping a stranger; offering a helping hand seems to be out of accord with the times。

Then what’s wrong with our society? Some people may say that facing skyrocketing housing prices, expensive medical expenditure

and soaring commodity prices, they have no choice but to struggle to make a living, and thus it would be impossible to spare a hand to help others because it may bring them into trouble. Therefore, standing by indifferently is their only choice。

However, is it necessary to be selfish in order to survive, or in order to ensure that people do not take advantage of you? In my opinion, helping others brings a strong sense of accomplishment. What’s more, the evaluation criteria

在一个阳光明媚的三月，我参加了周末特训营。

我们首先找到了自己的队，写上自己队的一个新队呼。第一个游戏是“发电报”，我们的导师帮助我们两个队分别写上两个不同的数，把数字发给第一个同学，让第一个同学和后面的同学不说话把数字想方设法传递过去，我们选择用手指慢慢的传数字，这轮我们取得了胜利。我从中锻炼了手指的灵活使用……

中午我们下去吃饭，导师让我们做了一个“相互帮助”的游戏;一个闭着眼睛另一个搀扶着下楼，这时我们的心情都十分紧张，生怕磕着碰着。我们小心翼翼的走着，终于慢慢的找到饭桌。从中使我深深的体会到了只有相互帮助才能走得更远。

午饭过后我们回到了营地，导师让我们进行“ 有灵犀”的训练。我们用纸胶把自己的嘴粘上，一个队员做动作，其余的队员猜他表达的意思。第一个动作被机灵的毛鑫月猜出来，我是第二个猜出来的，最后一次做的动作比较难，在规定的时间内我们都没有猜出来。在这个游戏里使我从中发挥了自己的表演能力和想象力。

在这两天的训练中，使我懂得了很多。从各种锻炼中，我体会到了只有不断的努力，人与人间互相帮助才能取得胜利。

我现在脚上的伤已经好了，你们可能要问了，帮助和脚上的伤有什么关系啊？不要着急，等一下你就知道了。

那是在一次郊游时发生的事情。那天我们班的同学一起去郊外游玩，我们一路上游山玩水，我们走啊走，看见了一座小山，我们都想上山去玩玩，于是我们上山了。本来大部队都在一个地方，后来有些同学像老虎似的——跑得飞快。我也不甘落后，我也跟了上去，跑着跑着，“啊！”，我摔了一跤——痛得哭了起来，其他同学马上围过来。还好我们班的两大“智多星”在这里，第一个“智多星”小覃摸了摸我的腿受伤的位置随后说：“不好！骨折，小锦，你不要乱动。”小覃说完后就拿着小刀带了一些同学去砍树枝。第二个“智多星”小谭一边走过来一边从背包拿出云南白药。正好小覃也回来了，手上还拿着三块看起来一样的、光滑的树枝，小覃先拿绷带和树枝为我包扎，虽然疼，但是心里甜滋滋的。为我包扎完后，又带了一些同学去砍树枝。我坐在石头上，骄阳似火我冒出了一些汗珠，同学们可能猜到了我的心思，两个人拿着两把芭蕉扇；另外两个人拿着两把大伞撑在我的头上，这感觉像个老爷似的，享受了一会儿。小覃和小谭回来了，只见他们手上拿着两根光滑的树枝向我走来，然后，他们就用绷带将两根树枝包扎得像担架一样的时候，大家就把我慢慢的抬到担架上，我躺在担架上被抬下了山，抬的过程中，我像个少爷似的，差不多把骨折的事忘得九霄云外去了。

如果这次没有同学的帮助，我就不知道该怎么办了，人与人之间如果没有关心就不会快乐，有同学真好！

In these given examples, many people pass by someone who need help, while didn’t give them a hand. And these examples are not single, but happened almost everywhere. The problem may not because people do not have sympathy, but worry about get into trouble. Before they give the strangers help the may fist think” if the strangers will do harm to me? There are always many cheaters” but not “the people need help, I should give him a hand”. They always think about themselves first.

Now many of us have recognized the problem and given their own advances. Most of the advances are about legislating a law to punish those who don’t give others help. But I think this is not the best way. On the one hand, its too sorrowful to see that we should depend on legislation to solve the problem about morality. This is the degeneration of humanity. On the other hand, a law can’t solve the problem totally because it can’t change people’s mind. We shouldn’t try to punish someone but to rebuild a environment to help each other. For example, the parents should teach their children to help people who need help, but not to teach them get away from troubles.

As to myself, I think I can also do some useful things. Such as help others actively, and tell other people to give help, so as not to feel helpless when we need others help.

And what about my family members think about the decline of morality? They all agree with my opinion that we should learn from these examples and give others help. My mother said she would help that injured girl since she is a doctor, and she is also a mother, she know how worried her mother will be. My father said that more parents should let their children know the important to help others. Everyone should contribute to rebuild a warm society.

While, there will be a long way for us to go.

Everyone Needs Help

One day, when I was on my way home, I saw an old man walking slowly around the street Corner. Suddenly he fell down, I ran to him. I couldn’t move him. I look around. Just at that time, I saw a telephone box. I had an idea. I called the police and soon they came. They thanked me for the help. “Everyone needs help.” I said with a smile.

We all live in the same society. More or less, we get help from others, our parents, relatives, teachers, friends even strangers. In return, we should give others a hand when they are in need. We should transmit this kind of love. As long as everyone can contribute a piece of love, the world will become a paradise. We only have one earth, but this unique earth is not simple. There are many things need people to understand, to solve. Let me take illness as an example. As people have paid attention on them, anyone who gets any disease of them would not have to worry about too much. They will be cured at last. A little boy invited his mother to attend his elementaryschool’sfirst teacher-parent conference. To the little boy sdismay, shesaid she would go. Each and every year, during Chongyang Festival, citizens of China celebrate the elders in their families and communities. It’s a special tradition which is rooted in the deep value that Chinese culture places on honouring their elders.

Sadly, many of our aging population are seniors without sons, daughters or grandchildren to visit. While they may have great friends, they no doubt miss the tender and loving relationships unique to families. To fill this void, many volunteers turned up on October 28 at nursing homes around the country in order to spend time with the residents. In some cases, they performed humble gestures of kindness, such as combing their hair or washing their feet.

Reportedly, one old gentleman had his feet washed seven times during the day by different volunteers. Is this genuinely caring for the elderly? Many of the residents at the home said that those gestures do not make them feel cared for at all. Their family members or community volunteers may drop by for a few hours of token time, but soon they disappear back into their busy lives.

There is nothing we can give that is more valuable or appreciated than our time. While you may feel like there is barely enough time to care for your many responsibilities, might it be possible to spare just a moment as you walk home from school to sit with a senior who lives in your community? Just five minutes is not going to prevent you from getting your homework done, but it may totally change a day of loneliness into a day of joy for one old man or woman. Do you live far from your grandparents? Why not pick up the phone and let them know you’re thinking of them? Or maybe you could remind them of the “good old days” and mail them a short letter. Imagine their surprise and joy!
