《麦琪的礼物》是美国短篇小说大师欧·亨利作品的选集。书中，社会上那些巧取豪夺，坑蒙拐骗，利欲熏心，尔虞我诈的上流人物，得意之徒们的丑恶行径，被揭露无遗。通过他们的种种表现，形象逼真，不拘一格地向读者展现了文明社会的黑暗与滑稽本质，弱肉强食与天良丧尽的现实，并喻示在金钱万能，唯利是图的生存环境中，人性的异化和畸变。

然而在众多对丑恶人性的描写之中，也不乏许多使人肃然起敬的小人物，让人对荒诞，滑稽的故事漠然一笑之后，感慨万千。留给我印象最深的是《麦琪的礼物》这篇文章，它让我真正领略到了人性的魅力。

有些人认为钱是万能的，有了钱就拥有了一切，但我一直坚信真挚的感情是无价的。即使你有千百万，那也换不来真正的感情。或许金钱让你获得一些感情，但那些都是虚伪的。当你不再拥有万贯金钱时，虚伪的感情便会破裂，最终留给你的是万分痛苦。

《麦琪的礼物》就是因为金钱而引发的一系列故事。一对夫妻因为想给对方买一件圣诞礼物而舍弃了自己的心爱之物。可惜最后彼此的礼物却都失去了使用价值，但他们都得到了人世间最宝贵的礼物彼此的真情。我认为他们是幸福的，虽然他们很穷，生活拮据，但在他们心中，金钱并不重要，重要的是对方的真情，只要拥有它，他们感到比有钱的富翁幸福百倍。

换一个角度来看，假如小说中女主人公德拉家财万贯，即使她买了昂贵礼物也看不出真情所在，杰姆也就不会感到那么幸福了。德拉美丽的头发，杰姆珍贵的金表，两样各自引以为自豪的东西都失去了。他们本来想让对方更加美丽，却使礼物失去了使用价值，然而他们更加感到幸福。正像作者所说：在所有馈赠礼物的人当中，他们两个是最聪明的。我想，在一切接受礼物的人当中，他们也是最幸福的。许多人都会羡慕这对夫妻。

也许，有些人会对此不屑一顾，无法理解他们的做法。假如万贯家财和一份真挚的感情同时放在你面前，你会选哪一样呢?我会毫不犹豫地选择那份感情，因为真挚的感情是无价的!我相信真心的付出终会有真诚的回报，拥有真情才能拥有幸福。

We are told that reading books is good for us, but the fact is that we may find many bosses go to work in the early age and they don’t read many books. As the development of the world, there is more and more entertainment for people to kill time. Reading used to be an important amusement. But now there are less and less people fond of reading. But there are still a large number of people stand on the side of reading. For me, I think reading is very important. The reasons are as following.

First of all, reading can broaden our vision. The main way we learn the things happen long time ago is according to the book. People will try their best to write the things in their stage in their way. When we read books, we have the opportunity to learn everything. The content in the books contains the knowledge all over the world and every aspect. We can read the knowledge about biography, science, technology, culture, economic and so on from the book. 随着世界的发展，越来越多娱乐供人们消磨时光。阅读在过去常常就是一种重要的娱乐。但现在却越来越少人喜欢阅读了。但仍然还有很多人是喜欢看书的。对我来说，我认为阅读是很重要的。理由如下。

望窗外，夜空下，只有几盏灯孤零零地亮着，有时，会有微风轻轻拂过……

我倚在窗台上，注视着不远处餐桌上那碗鸡汤。那碗鸡汤，“冒”着热气，带着浓浓的海蛎味，表面的那层油在灯的照射下闪着些许金光……过了一会儿，一位系着围裙的妇人——我的母亲走进厨房，望见了那碗未动的鸡汤和我的愁眉苦脸，无奈地摇了摇头，说道：“去睡吧。”话音刚落，我便迅速离开了厨房，而，她正收拾着。

第二日，一如既往，我早起上学，她为我准备早餐。但，在出门时，不经意间，我注意到了她的疲惫和苦恼的神情，不禁心生愧疚。可，不一会儿，那种浓郁的海蛎味又涌上心头，驱散了“愧疚”。

上午放学后，我突然记起那日是感恩节，便到花店买了一束康乃馨。回到家，我怀着期待，把花递给她，她微笑着收下了。可，我发现那微笑转瞬即逝……

一天的学习终于结束——晚自习下课了，我收好书包，离开教室，匆匆前行，回家。忽然，我在不经意间看到了一位母亲和她的女儿，坐在微弱灯光下的石椅上。我停住了脚步，那个女孩手中端着一碗汤，眉头紧锁，嘴巴合了又开，开了又合……许久，她好像终于鼓起勇气，用手将那碗刚移至嘴旁，然后，缓缓张开嘴，将那碗汤一饮而尽。终于，汤喝完了，她低着头，皱着眉头，嘴巴也紧闭着，好像十分难受。可，过了一会儿，她又舒展眉头，睁开双眼，抬起头，向着她的母亲，浅浅地笑了，她的母亲原本紧张的神情也终于消散，露出了微笑。那一刻，一股暖流悄无声息地在我的心间流淌着。而后，我好像突然想起了什么，加快了回家的步伐。

回到家，我发现：餐桌上竟放着一碗新鲜的鸡汤和一只勺子。我鼓起勇气，走到餐桌旁坐下，拿起勺子，忍着浓郁的海蛎味与泛着金光的油，将勺子放入汤中，舀了一口，送至口中……勺起勺落，汤，终于见底。我抬起头，从玻璃的镜像中发现了母亲的身影，和她的微笑。这一次，微笑并没有转瞬即逝，而是久久停驻，不禁，我也笑了。

凝望着母亲的微笑，我想：对于礼物，我们的选择有很多。一束花，一串项链，或一块表，或……但，我认为，学会理解，是最好的礼物。
