how time flies! it is ahnost a month since i arrived here and began a new life as a university student. but all this time, i have been missing you and my dear school. i just can not tell you how grateful i am to you for the help you gave me during my preparation for the university entrance examination. now i will tell you something about my university and life here.

our university lies at the foot of mount zijin, in the eastern suburbs of nanjing city. the campus is very big,with a big sportsground surrounded by lots of modern classroom buildings. what have impressed me most are the big library and the well-equipped language lab. our campus is also very beautiful. there are quite a few well-kept gardens. every road is lined with trees. how happy we are to study in such an enviromnent!

Everybody knows that our life is very short, so the great educators always

have many ideas in their minds and they dare not to take action, because

thinking of the effort they make but what if they accomplish nothing, so they

decide to give up and just live the boring life. It reminds me of the famous

words, some people just die at age of 20 but only to be buried at the age of 70.

As we are young and full of energy, it is a good time for us to fight for our

future, never be afraid of failure, because it is the mother of success. We can

achieve our goals if we have patience, just to cherish time and keep

fighting.

It is quite usual that one meets failures, for ones life can never be

plain sailing. However, diffhrent people hold diffhrent attitudes towards

failure. Some people think it a heavy blow to fail in achieving something and

they can not endure failure. When they meet failure, they will be seriously

dejected and can never pluck up their courage to try again. However, others

think it natural to meet failures in ones career. Therefore, they are

People are enjoying the comfortable life of the modern civilization,

meanwhile, they are also experiencing more and more competitions and suffering

much more stress than before.With the tremendous rhythm of living imposed by

又到了一年一度的开学季，孩子们的交通安全也在再次牵动着你们和我们的心。

近年来，我省道路交通事故虽然整体下降，但是随着机动车特别是私家车的迅猛增加，道路环境的日益复杂，道路交通安全形势比较严峻。去年我省就有134名学生因交通事故伤亡，这是我们不愿意看到，又十分痛心的数字。我们对去年交通事故的分析也发现，17时至19时是交通事故的高发时段，这个时段正是学生们走在放学回家的路上，潜在的危险可想而知。孩子是每个家庭的宝贝和希望，也是祖国的花朵和未来，关注、关心他们的交通安全是我们共同的责任和使命。

全省交警一直将这项工作作为我们所有工作的重中之重，不敢有丝毫怠慢。每年的两个开学季，我们都要安排警力走进校园，开展多种形式的交通安全出行知识的教育和普及，旨在进一步提高广大学生出行的安全意识和自我防护意识。这是我们每年必做的“规定动作”。今年我们还专门制作了1万件印有“请你看见我”字样的交通反光马甲和10万册《辽宁省小学生交通安全知识教育动漫读本》，将陆续发放到孩子们的手里。特别是反光马甲将首先为国道102沿线的学生们配发，希望能为他们的出行筑起一道安全的屏障。但是为孩子们创造良好的出行环境、保护他们的出行安全，仅靠我们的力量是有限的，还需要广大家长和老师以及全社会的参与、支持!为此，我们发出三点倡议：

一、做好日常交通安全宣传教育。学校和老师结合实际，在日常教学中合理安全交通安全教育的课时和内容，建立交通安全宣传教育长效机制，特别是开学之初，要联合交警部门为学生们集中上一堂生动的交通安全教育课;老师和家长们要监督校车运行工作，引导和教育学校们乘坐有运营资质的正规校车，不乘坐超员、超速、存在安全隐患的校车，更不能乘坐低俗载货汽车、三轮汽车、拖拉机和非法营运客车，并积极向教育行政和公安交警部门举报存在违法行为的校车;家长要发挥亲情作用，加强日常对孩子们的交通安全教育，常叮咛、日嘱咐，培养孩子们的交通安全意识和自我保护意识。

二、共同维护校园周边交通秩序。交通环境复杂的学校，我们将派驻警力协助维持秩序。学校和老师应积极配合交警部门做好此项工作。学校要合理安排老师们的停车位，尽量不要占用行车道。如需停留，应按照指定停车或交警指挥，自觉规范停靠车辆。建议家长尽量将车停在进出方便的地方，走步接送孩子，避免车辆集中在校园门口造成拥堵，甚至发生交通事故。

三、积极发挥文明出行表率作用。老师和家长的一言一行对孩子影响较大，日常出行要以身作则，模范遵守交通安全法律法规，开车不玩手机、系好安全带、不超速、不酒后驾车、不闯红灯、不随意变更车道、不开斗气车等等，从点滴做起，自觉抵制各类交通陋习和违法行为，为孩子们出行做出表率。通过亲情作用，潜移默化地教育孩子们从小培养良好的社会公德，做一名文明、守法的出行者。
