今天，我给大家介绍的植物是含羞草。含羞草原产地为南美热带地区，喜欢温暖湿润的环境。它的叶子长的很密，排列的很有秩序，像一列列士兵在列队，又像一把把长长的梳子。
我第一次见到含羞草时，手不小心碰到了它的叶子，叶子竟然慢慢地合上了！我很吃惊，心想：这叶子怎么合上了？难道被我弄坏了？于是，我蹲在含羞草旁边，目不转睛地盯着它的叶子，生怕它再也打不开了。但是，我的担心是多余的，不一会儿，它的叶子就慢慢地张开了。我心里特别高兴。
为什么含羞草的叶子会动呢？我怀着好奇的心情去查了《百科全书》。原来含羞草的叶柄基部有一个器官叫“叶枕”，叶枕里面有很多薄壁细胞，这些薄壁细胞对外界的刺激有很强的敏感。所以当我们碰它的时候，它才会像小姑娘一样害羞地低下了头。

记得我上三年级时，得了痄腮，难受的我痛不欲生。邻居闻讯，给了我家几片仙人掌。我妈把仙人掌捣碎，糊在我腮上，立刻就有一股凉意袭来，一天后，我的痄腮好了。仙人掌没有全用完，剩下小小的一片，扔了怪可惜的，抱着试试的心态，把它种在了一个报废了的洗脸盆里，虽然对它没抱多大希望，但还是时不时地去瞧瞧，一个月过去了，仙人掌没有任何变化，我很沮丧，也有些恼怒，心想：这是什么仙人掌，这么多天也不长。对它关注之心随时间的推移淡了。两、三个月过去了，偶然有一天，我发现这片仙人掌顶端竟然冒出黄豆粒般大小的一片新绿，心里别提多高兴了，从此便对其照料起来。

仙人掌不像牡丹那样浓滟，也没有芍药那样娇柔，更不像月季那样芬芳。但仙人掌顽强的生命力，对所处环境，不挑肥拣瘦，只要有一小块扎根的地方，就能够繁衍生息的精神，使我要以它为榜样，坚忍不拔、自强不息、天天向上！仙人掌的丛丛绿色，给我们家增添了许多生机，给我带来了无限乐趣。别人心中“丑陋”的仙人掌，我心中的美丽天使，我永远爱你！
