五星花是一种藤条植物，和葡萄一样喜欢攀爬。它的叶子和含羞草没什么区别，就像一只大蜈蚣，到了晚上，五星花还会把叶子卷起来，收缩进去，到了次日早上再慢慢展开。五星花还有多重“性格”呢!它不喜欢阴雨天气，只有天上阴云密布时，它就蜷曲身子，无精打采的，仿佛在说：“太阳太阳快出来!这种阴雨天气让我都患上风湿病了!”但如果是骄阳似火的日子，它就会把叶子都舒展开来，享受阳光的沐浴，也不时地扭扭身子，表示满心的愉快。

顾名思义，它的名字叫“五星花”，那它开的花也就是一个个小五角星了。我就是看了它奇特的花才喜欢它的。五星花的花儿是红色的，从侧面看和牵牛花没什么区别，是个小小的嗽叭，可从正面看，就是一个红五星了。小小的五个红色尖角花瓣向一旁展开，两个黄里透红的花蕊随风摆动着，像两个小眼睛。我曾看到它环绕在一棵长青树上，长青树仿佛挂上了一条条红色的霓虹灯。不，五星花比霓虹灯更漂亮些。红色的五星花衬上绿色的长青树，别提有多漂亮了。
