绿萝的茎是圆柱形的，有的粗，有的细，还有的有着分叉。茎用手摸起来硬硬的，脆脆的，十分光滑，上方还有着一条细细的凹痕。绿萝的茎靠近叶子后开始变小了，渐渐地，延伸到了叶子上，成了叶子的主叶脉，主叶脉又向前方长出许多的小叶脉，像一张渔网似的将更小的叶脉分散出去。茎为浅绿色，比叶子的颜色要浅许多，而且还有着一些结。绿萝的茎再往下几厘米就是绿萝的根了，根深深地扎进了土里，是深棕色的像一条条绳子，在绿萝的编织下成了一张交叠着泥土的蓬松的“地毯”，在白色石子的装饰下，显得更加可爱柔软了。
