The second word is convenient. Because of the fast development of our society, many work can be done by the computers or even robots. Lots of things are fully automated. The after-class activities in my school are colorful. Every day we play basketball, football, do rope skipping and so on. But I like the Month of Science and Technology and the Cultural Festival most. In those days, we have a chance: to show ourselves to all the students. We can invent something with some classmates. And we can act in a play or make a speech or take part in the competition of singing. I enjoy myseff in those activities.

坐着巴士闲逛，只见大街上都是小小的环保汽车，听导游介绍，这汽车燃烧的是不会污染空气的氢气，这种技术独步世界，无人匹敌。日本在环境保护方面真是不遗余力，空气中的“垃圾”也要减量呢！

我们的车来到了一家日本商店。一进门，妈妈就叫住了我：“你仔细瞧瞧这些商品和价格，有没有什么发现？”我定睛一看，确实奇怪啊，同一个品牌500毫升的洗衣液，袋装的价格比罐装的便宜太多了！

妈妈说，在日本啊，袋装的日用品都比罐装的便宜一半。这是因为环保袋处理更为容易，罐装的处置成本更高，所以政府以价格的差异引导人们在“源头”上为垃圾减量。呀，真是长知识了！

旅行回来，我开始一门心思地给家中的垃圾做“减法”，美其名曰“像日本那样，从源头上为垃圾减量”。我先是再也不让妈妈叫“饿了么”快餐了，减少餐盒垃圾；偶尔需要就叫“三叔粥铺”，因为它们家的袋子是环保袋，盒子是可以回收的纸盒。然后，我开始收集家中可以被回收的东西，如果有纸盒或塑料不小心放进了垃圾桶，我就会赶紧把它拿出来。爸爸笑话我像个“环卫工人”，我却说自己是“减量小超人”！

不到一周的时间，我就整理了一大箱可回收物，送给了学校的清洁工。听妈妈说，他们会将这些东西卖给回收站，它们再也不是“垃圾”了！我心里高兴极了！

送走了这些可回收物，我发现家中还有不少罐子也用不着了。这时，妈妈提议要制作一个“任务桶”：“苡晗，我们在任务桶上贴上你每天要完成的任务，做完一项，就把‘任务条’放到桶里，国外的家长都是这么帮助孩子养成好习惯的。”我心里暗暗想着：“挺有意思的呀！我用这些空罐子试一试吧。”

我们立马行动了起来，把家里的罐子全部拿出来，挑了一个适合的当作了任务桶。我们把一个个任务事项粘贴在闲置的夹子上，再把夹子夹到罐口边，“任务桶”就完成了。从那以后，我每天都用这个任务桶，记录了我的“完成事项”。

我想，我们不光要认真做好垃圾分类和回收，也可以动起脑筋，利用身边的物品创造出我们需要的东西，那么垃圾就会转化为珍贵的资源，这样给环保做“加法”，岂不是更好？

I still remember the first time I went to the zoo.

When I was only five years old, my mother took me there.We took the camera and went to the station together. There were so many monkeys, tigers, lions, wolves and other animals in the zoo. We took many photos in the zoo with the animals. I was pleased to see so many real animals at the same time. They seemed so lovely and active.

I spent a nice day. But on my way home, I began to feel sorry for them. They were taken away from their parents and friends and also far away from the nature. They must have felt lonely, I thought. Every day, the only thing they could do was to sit there and wait for food.
