二、精选图画，激发想象

处于英语作文起步阶段的学生的想象具有直观性，片面性和模仿性的特点，为其提供的观察材料越具体、越完整、越详实，他们的这些特点往往表现得越明显，有时甚至强化了他们的这些特点。换个方式，为他们提供一些抽象的图画，他们的创造想象反而被激活，因为他们必须在原有的图画上进行创造才可能有新的形象产生。而“抽象画作品所表现的物象与参照物相差甚远，它最大限度地把形与色对视觉作用的潜力发挥出来，直观效果非常强烈。它经过夸张、简化、分解、组合等变化手段，将客观事物的表象创造成为富于想象力。”如荷兰画家蒙德里安的表达百老汇街道的嘈杂与热闹的《百老汇爵士》（Jazz in Broadway）是一幅看上去比较抽象的图画，学生通过观察、运用合理的想象，写出了内容各异的作品。

有一天语文课，老师就特地教我们“丢垃圾”。开始，大家都觉得好笑。我们都读五年级了，难道还不会丢垃圾。只看老师手拿一个粉笔头，走到垃圾桶旁，弯着腰，眼睛望着桶，又把手伸进垃圾桶里去丢。老师边示范边讲解。 One day Chinese class, the teacher specially teaches us "littering" .At first, everyone felt funny.We are all in the fifth grade, and we will not lose garbage.Just look at the teacher with a chalk head, walk to the trash can, bend over, look at the barrel, and then put his hand into the trash can to throw it.The teacher explained while demonstrating.

常言道，见者易，做者难。老师叫了好几个同学做个模仿练习。可大家都很随意，根本没有像才老师刚才那样认真对待。特别离谱的是钟文越，他好像打羽毛球一样，把垃圾往上一抛，用手掌一拍，“嗖”的一声，飞向垃圾桶。说时迟，那时快，坐在垃圾桶边的杨启林同学也用手一挡，把“球”打了回来，正好打在钟文越的眼睛上。顿时，钟文越哭了起来。

老师严肃地批评了他俩，走过去捡起掉在地上的“球”，又示范把垃圾送回了家，并要求大家以后要及时把在放流浪的垃圾送回家。

这真是一节令人难忘的课，又搞笑，又好玩!

一天，在我出去玩时，爸爸把我画的设计图误以为是一张废纸，不管三七二十一就扔进了垃圾桶。回到家，得知设计图被扔了，我又急又气，但只好在又脏又臭的垃圾桶里搜寻着。后来，不仅设计图找到了，我还得到了一个意外收获——我发现垃圾桶里除了设计图，还有一堆散落得七零八落的旧报纸，一枚废电池，几团用过的纸巾，一些腐烂的、一股馊味的瓜果皮和几个易拉罐。我一时兴头，不禁想：这些垃圾可以分为“可回收垃圾”与“不可回收垃圾”，如果能给这些垃圾正确地分类，将可回收垃圾利用为资源，那该多好啊！于是，我把这些垃圾归为了两大类：可回收垃圾——旧报纸、废电池、易拉罐；不可回收垃圾——纸巾、瓜果皮。

在分类时，我曾向爸爸请教，电池可以回收吗？爸爸告诉我，电池是有毒有害物质，必须回收。我访问了电脑，知道了“一粒纽扣电池可污染60万升水，等于一个人一生的饮水量。一节电池烂在地里，能够使一平方米的土地失去利用价值”。没想到小小的电池会带来这么大的危害。所以，废电池属于可回收垃圾，必须经过回收，不能随便丢弃。为此，市环保局曾在市区内定点设置了300多个废旧电池回收箱。看来，垃圾分类的用处可真大。但垃圾分类究竟有什么好处呢？于是，我决定再访问一次电脑。

垃圾”顾名思义，就是指被人们丢弃不要的东西，但这些东西真的没用吗？怎样才能使它们变废为宝呢？所谓“垃圾分类”就是把不同的垃圾分开处理。这样做的最终目的就是要把有危害的垃圾资源正确地利用起来。垃圾分类不仅可以节约并正确地利用资源，与环境也密切相关，两者如同一根线，紧紧地连在一起。

学了这么多知识，我们知道了原来垃圾分类还起着这么大的作用，你一定意想不到吧。但除了了解知识，更重要的是大家也要将垃圾分类的工程实施起来。在此，我提出几点倡议：

1、倡议没有实施垃圾分类的家庭与地区践行起来；同时希望已经实施垃圾分类的家庭与地区尽量做到给垃圾正确分类。

2、希望大家能多多上网了解垃圾分类的好处，增强对垃圾分类的重视。

3、希望大家增强对“可回收垃圾”与“不可回收垃圾”的理解，多多了解这两种不同类型的垃圾。

4、当大家遇到“弄不清某垃圾属于哪种类型的人”时，能给予帮助，帮他们正确地区分垃圾。

5、希望有更多的人加入到我们的行列，呼吁越来越多的人“实施垃圾分类，共创美好家园”。

为了共创美好家园，我们希望并倡议更多的人加入到“实施垃圾分类”的队伍，正确地利用好资源，为我们的家园增添一丝美丽，为生活增加一些环保。相信在我们每个人的共同努力下，未来的生活一定充满阳光与希望，迎接我们的将是一片蔚蓝晴空！

The Origin of Halloween

While there are many versions of the origins and old customs of Halloween, some remain consistent by all accounts. Different cultures view Holloween somewhat differently but traditional Halloween practices remain the same.

Halloween culture can be traced back to the Druids, a Celtic culture in Ireland, Britain and Northern Europe. Roots lay in the feast of Samhain, which was annually on October 31st to honor the dead.

Samhain signifies "summers end" or November. Samhain was a harvest festival with huge sacred bonfires, marking the end of the Celtic year and beginning of a new one. Many of the practices involved in this celebration were fed on superstition.

The Celts believed the souls of the dead roamed the streets and villages at night. Since not all spirits were thought to be friendly, gifts and treats were left out to pacify the evil and ensure next years crops would be plentiful. This custom evolved into trick-or-treating.

垃圾分类，从你我做起！

5月26日上午，我和我的小记者伙伴们参加了太仓日报和太仓市城管局举办的“垃圾分类从我做起”环保之旅行活动，活动非常有趣。

我们来到市环境卫生管理处听取垃圾分类辅导讲座，老师给我们讲了很多关于垃圾分类的知识，并且教会了我们如何分类。垃圾桶可以分为三类——红色的是有毒有害物垃圾桶、青紫色的是不可回收垃圾桶、绿色的是可回收垃圾桶。我知道了苹果核、用过的卫生纸、香蕉皮等应该放在不可回收的垃圾桶里；电池、废弃的灯管应该放在有毒有害的垃圾桶里，而一些白纸、洗净的酸奶盒、饮料瓶罐都可以放在可回收的垃圾桶里。可回收垃圾是可以再次循环利用的，而不可回收垃圾就要运到垃圾焚烧发电厂进行焚烧，有些无法焚烧的垃圾则要堆到一个“垃圾山”进行填埋，不用担心这些垃圾会污染土地、地下水、树木花草，因为在填埋的时候会在垃圾下面垫一层厚厚的环保物。原来，垃圾分类也包含了很多重要的知识啊！

在协鑫垃圾焚烧发电厂，我第一次看到了这么多的垃圾。最让我感到震撼的是那个垃圾搬运机，它就像一个巨型的抓娃娃机。这个庞然大物有四个爪子，张开爪子，对准垃圾往下一抓，一大堆的垃圾被抓了起来，接着垃圾就被放进了焚烧火炉中，点起了熊熊大火。虽然在焚烧发电厂有一股股垃圾的臭味，但是看到这些被人们丢弃的东西又可以循环再利用，我觉得真是太有意义了。

最后，我们去了餐厨垃圾无害化处理厂，了解了餐厨垃圾应该如何无害化处理。

这次的环保活动真让我受益匪浅，我不仅学会了正确地垃圾分类，还了解了各类垃圾处理的方式，我会把今天学到的知识和我的家人、同学们一起分享，希望大家都能做一个“环保达人”！

201X年X月X日 星期X 晴今天我在家做了一件好事，那就是把垃圾桶里的垃圾进行了细致的分类。

事先我和爸爸妈妈通过上网找寻资料，了解了垃圾的基本分类：有可回收垃圾、厨余回收垃圾、其它垃圾、还有有害垃圾。紧接着我们将日常生活中收集的月饼盒、纸皮箱制作成垃圾桶，我负责绘制宣传画、垃圾桶版面，爸爸负责固定严实纸皮箱、妈妈做指挥用手指了指地上的垃圾说“像鱼骨呀，剩饭呀等等垃圾，都是不可回收垃圾放入厨房垃圾。电池灯泡等垃圾就是有毒有害垃圾了。还有废纸、塑料、铁和木头制材等是可以回收再利用的垃圾。于是我们便手忙脚乱地干了起来。

我们忙活了大半天，总算分类好了。后来，爸爸发现我们的整理出了好多错。我们几乎又整理了一遍，才分类好。我想：一定要好好学习关于环保的知识，使我们的环境更加美丽。

在这个寒假里，令我最快乐的事是正月十五闹元宵。这天，我们全家人早早吃完晚饭，准备送年。六点刚过，哥哥、姐姐就点燃早已准备好的火把，在每个屋子里转了一圈送下了楼，一家人紧跟在后面来到院子里。左邻右舍也都陆陆续续把火把送了出来，大家一起在院子里欢快地跳起了火堆。四面渐渐传来此起彼伏的爆竹声，天空中不时闪烁着五彩缤纷的礼花。

跳完火堆，我们随着人流走向大街，一路看花炮，一路放花炮。来到一处比较空旷的地方，我迫不及待地拿出许愿灯，小心翼翼地打开，先把它吹鼓，然后让爸爸、妈妈帮着提住上面，我动作麻利地系好固体燃料，拿着打火机点了起来，不一会儿燃料慢慢地燃着了。妈妈说：“先别急，等一会儿再放。”我们轻轻地扶着许愿灯等了一会儿，许愿灯开始慢慢上升，我们不约而同地丢开许愿灯，合起双手许下了自己的心愿。

望着慢慢上升的许愿灯，渐渐地离我们远去，闪闪烁烁的光芒好像天空中的小星星，对着我们眨眼睛，好像在说：我一定会实现你们的愿望!

大清早，蝉就高声大叫，告诉大家又一个火热的日子开始了。却依然阻挡不了我们六位小伙伴开展“垃圾资源化，分类要先行”活动的脚步。

我们六位小伙伴组成一个小分队，队名为蕙兰少年小分队。这是一项学校实践活动—我有垃圾分类金点子。我们统一服装，统一帽子，举着队旗。

我们在家长的陪同下，早早地来到了虎山公园，选择了一处阴凉的地方，搭好展架和宣传板，桌子上面摆放着宣传单和许多礼品，家长们拉好了横幅，一切准备就绪，轮到我们小伙伴一显身手的时候了。

第一个项目是我们对游玩游客进行问卷调查，我们深入实际，认真调查，小伙伴们俨然一个个出色的小记者。没过一会儿，小伙伴们的衣服就被汗水浸湿了，大家口干舌燥，可是热情却一丝不减。第二个项目是垃圾分类知识竞赛，一问一答，答对有礼品。垃圾可以分成厨房垃圾、可回收垃圾、有害垃圾和其他垃圾。瞿磊和王一彬负责出题，我与戚莘睿带领游客答题，丁钰婧和陈梓涵则负责送礼品。一会儿就吸引了许多过往游客，来往的小朋友都跃跃欲试。在活动进展最激烈的时候，浙江少儿频道的记者叔叔也来了，我们小队有幸地被接受了采访。记者叔叔问我们，为什么要宣传垃圾分类活动。我们小伙伴有的说，垃圾分类可以美化环境；有的说，减少污染可以防止传播疾病；有的说，可以提高地球资源的再利用。我觉得通过这次活动，我更加深刻地理解了“垃圾分一分，环境美十分”的含义所在。

渐渐地活动接近了尾声，我们在横幅上签下了自己的名字，许下了心愿。离别前，家长为我们拍了一张合照，阳光下一张张通红的小脸上挂着无比灿烂的笑容，我们为自己的努力付出而自豪，更为城市的美好明天而高兴。
