It’s normal that we all have our own interests and it’s various from people to people. Some people may be interested in sports and some others in music or literature. In short, it’s good for us to have our own interests or hobbies and it means a lot. For one thing, having some interests can bring us a sense of belonging, for it’s your own thing and no one can carry off from you. For another, interest is our best teacher. If you like something, you have the desire to go deep to it. Last, developing interest is a good way to make friends with who have something in common. You can share and be shared, which is an inspiring process and experience.

Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the

world. For example, cars have made the air unhealthy for people to breathe and

poisonous gas is given off by factories. Trees on the hills have been cut down

and waste water is being poured continuously into rivers.Furthermore, wherever

we go today, we can find rubbish carelessly disposed. Pollution is, in fact,

threatening our existence.

The earth is our home and we have the duty to take care of it for ourselves

and for our later generations. Fortunately, more and more people have realized

these problems. Measures have been taken to cope with these problems by the

government. Laws have been passed to stop pollution. I hope the problem will be

solved in the near future and our home will become better and

We must face the situation that exists and take actions to solve our

environmental problems. For instance, new laws must be passed to place strict

control over industrial pollution, the pub!ic must receive the education about

the hazard of pollution and so on. We hope that all these measures will be

effective and bring back a healthful environment.

Happiness is dependent upon work. Sometimes we complain that we have too much work, but we fail to realize that it’s our work that keep us moving on and helps us to become a better man. Last summer I visited my friends in a small village. It was obvious that working has become an indispensable part of their daily lives. They all went to the field to plant the crops. Last Sunday my father and I went fishing along a river. We found the water so dirty that we could hardly catch fish in it.

A lot of factories along the river always poured their waste water and rubbish straight into the river which made the river water polluted. In this way most of the fish in the river were killed.

If the river water all over the country is polluted like this， no living things will exist in the water. As we all know， environmental pollution does great harm to living things and human beings.
