I had a great time throughout my may day holiday.

On monday, i went bbq with my classmates who threw a celebration party at our middle school principles flat. our parents were invited to the party. everybody was excited about the holiday. i ate a lot of delicious food at that time.

On tuesday, i went visiting my uncles family with my parents. we went to celebrate our good time at a fancy restaurant in shanghai. later that day, we sang karaoke in my uncles house. we stayed for the night.

On wednesday, i went shopping with my cousins. we bought some brand name t-shirts and pants. in the afternoon, my cousins gave me a fun ride on the city highway. they also taught me how to drive their fancy car, so i tried to do some turning and parking. it was not easy first. but i learnt quick.

on thursday, we returned home with many gifts from our trip. i tried to get some rest. at night, i chatted with my classmates on the phone, and i watched cctv before going to bed.

From friday on, i started to finish up my homework assignments on my personal laptop. some of my assignments were quite boring. after i finished the homework, i emailed them to my teachers. that was the end of it. i started to prepare things for school on this coming monday.

Christmas Day is on December 25th, though it originated in the western

country, now it is popular around the world. In China, people will spend that

day happily, they will eat apples on Christmas Eve, the children will put the

socks so that they could get the presents from Santa Claus. When I went to

college, I had an unforgettable memory about my first Christmas Day.

As my major is English, I have many foreign teachers, so that I could have

access to the local culture from them. Christmas Day is a big day for them, when

Nowadays, divorce rate has been rising sharply in China, because most

people think that its better to get divorced than stick to a bad marriage. But

for those couples who have children, they had better think over before getting

divorced. Parents divorce may have some negative effects on their children.

Firstly, the love of father is different from the love of mother. Children need

both of the love. Without each of the love, they may not grow up healthily.

Secondly, in order to raise the family, the single parents have to work harder,

so that they may have less time to accompany with their children. The children

may feel neglected, which may cause mental problems. Besides, if the single

parents get married again, the children may get hurt by calling another person

father or mother. If they cant get along well with each other, the situation

will become even worse. Thus, for the sake of their children, parents are not

supposed to get divorced in a rush. They should think twice.

I have a happy family. There are my father, my mother, my brother and I. My father works a long way from home. And my mother is a housewife. My brother is a student who studies in the school. In a word, my family is full of happiness. I have a very happy family.There are four people in my family--my parents ,my younger brother and I.My fathther is working in another city,so he is always very busy.As a famous saying goes :" There is always an able woman behind a successful man .",my mother is a housewife.She can cook very dilicious food and she is often busy with some houseworks.Sometimes,brother and I help her tidy the house,but of course,we couldnt tidy as clean as her. 自古道：“成由勤俭败由奢。”勤俭节约是一条成功致富的大道，是中国上下五千年的美德。节约一分一毫，就等于赚到一分一毫，“故不积跬步，无以至千里;不积小流，无以成江海。”这不进圣人眼的一分一毫，日积月累，则能使人成家立业，名垂青史。

而我的家里，除了尊老爱幼、家庭和睦，勤俭节约的优良品德也显而易见。

打开我记忆的储存库，翻阅岁月的黄历，那一瞬间的音序，却在我的心中留下了永恒不灭的记忆。

记得那是一个阳光在树叶间徘徊，连玲珑娇小的蝉也热的鸣叫的日子。“神厨”妈妈做了一桌山珍海味，配上一碗香喷喷的白米饭，那叫一个绝!能让人垂涎三尺，我如疾风般冲向餐桌，像狼似的吞起来，自然，碗里的白米饭长了腿，跳出饭碗，撒了一地，而我却丝毫不放在心上。

一会儿，吃饱了的我正想美美地睡一觉时，却被下班回来的爸爸叫住了，而我却若无其事地吭了一声，这样使爸爸更加懊恼，他左看右看，结果从桌上抄起鸡毛掸子倒转来拿，藤鞭子在空中一抡，就发出咻咻的声音，我挨打了。

自那次以后，我就牢牢地记住了节约的含义，明白了万事的来之不易。

“成由勤俭败由奢”，让我刻骨铭心。
