The traditionally accepted political definition of peace and the very word itself comes from the influence of the ancient Romans who defined peace, pax, as absentia belli, the absence of war.
In the modern nation-state world, peace has often been understood as the absence of international war between two or more state-organized armies. However, constraining the concept of peace to the absence of international war ignores the relevance of civil war, internal genocide, terrorism, and other violence. Since World War II, wars between states have decreased while violent internal conflicts increased. Since 1992, however, internal conflicts have decreased though there are still numerous and problematic intractable conflicts. [1] Present day Sudan, as an example, is not engaged in a war with another sovereign state. However, few would deny that what amounts to genocide is taking place in its Darfur region.
Peace therefore, in the sense of the absence of hostilities, is best understood as the absence of violence between groups, whether they are part of a state apparatus or not. Johan Galtung, a very influential peace researcher, calls peace understood simply as the absence of violence "negative peace."[2] It is labeled as such because although direct violence is not taking place, the points of conflict, which can lead to violence, are not necessarily resolved.

前一段时间，轰动世界的美国与伊拉克的战争，我在电视上看到了伊拉克居民的难民营，他们那里缺吃少穿，每天都能听到小孩的哭泣声。再看战场上，横七竖八地躺着许多具尸体，土地被这些战士们的鲜血染红了，而大炮的轰击，飞机射下来的炸弹，随时随地都能响起，天啊，这就是和平年代的幸福生活吗?
现在电视台又在天天播放台湾要独立，中国正在与台湾谈判，我身为一名中国人，有责任关注国家大事。我想，台湾是中国不可分割的一部分，就算它还没有回归到祖国妈妈的怀抱里，但它还是祖国妈妈的“儿子”呀!
电视台正在热播一部抗日题材的电视剧，我看到了中国劳工在日本时的情景，中国人为了完成日本人的工程后赶快回家，什么苦都吃过，而可恶的日本人要在他们完成工程以后全部杀死他们，日本人多么可恶呀，我为中国人的死感到痛心，更为中国人坚强不屈的精神感到骄傲和自豪!

现在我终于认为美国是最狠毒的国家,我看到了报纸、电视的新闻上,到处都有因为美国士兵的残暴行为致使伊拉克的人民惨死街头;老人、妇孺衣不裹体;皮包骨头真是惨不忍睹，报纸上还清晰的看见一个刚刚被炸掉双手的少年……为什么要战争?谁能告诉我。不就是为了扩大自己的疆土;不就是为了想做世界霸主。但我们同在地球上呼吸着同样的空气，都是父母所生的血肉之躯，人类为什么要自相残杀呢?我疑惑了，我对伊拉克的人们深感同情。听说美国的环保意识很好，而且不捕杀野生动物，但现在死去的是人啊!难道别的国家的人民就连动物都不如吗?!天理何在!
假若伊拉克真的有什么错，美国真的要当世界警察，难道就没有其他的解决方法吗?非得战争吗?聪明的你能告诉我吗?
啊，我真希望世界和平，真希望这个地球上的人类能和睦相处，共创美好的家园，和平万岁!

一位母亲抱着一个不满3岁的小孩来到上海南站，小孩在母亲怀里直撒娇，奶声奶气地说：“妈妈，我们要去哪呀？”“我们要去一个地方，躲避战争。”母亲说着，摸了摸小孩的头，“那个地方好玩吗？”咦？爸爸为什么不和我们一齐去呢？”这位母亲叹了口气，说：爸爸打完仗就来了。”这时，一个炸弹“轰”地落下，车站里那成千上万的人们惊惶失措，逃的逃，叫的叫，哭的哭，乱成一片。顿然间，硝烟滚滚，血肉横飞。母亲抱着小孩连忙走进旁边的屋子里躲避，但是不幸的是，炸弹向屋子里落了下来，在生命的最后一刻，母亲将小孩推向安全的地方，自我却躲闪不及，被炸弹击中了，就这样，本来一个幸福的家庭，由于日军的轰炸，被破坏了。突然间，一座座高楼大厦变成了废墟，那人山人海，繁华热闹的站台，霎时变得人迹罕见，冷冷清清，到处都是惨不忍睹的遗体。这个骨廋如柴、衣衫褴褛的小孩坐在溅满鲜血的地上声嘶力竭的哭喊道：“妈，妈，你在哪儿？爸，爸，你去哪了？”他的眼神那么恐慌，那么无助，他那幼小的心灵似乎要折磨碎了。瞬时光，他的命运发生了天翻地覆的变化，没有了疼爱他的爸爸妈妈，没有了兄弟姐妹，没有了温暖的家庭，只剩下无依无靠的他。
我们虽然生活在太平的坏境中，但和平之神并没有永驻人间，不少地区还弥漫着战争的硝烟，罪恶的子弹还威胁着娇嫩的“和平之花”。我不禁呼吁道“救救孩子们，要和平不要战争”为了人们不再失去美满、和谐的家庭，全世界应一致行动起来，维护和平，制止战争，为战争而敲响丧钟，让我们生活在充满阳光、鲜花和爱的世界吧！

Some people even close to them, do not want to go near. So that I dont want to let others to infection, although they know wont infect, but I still do that.
HIV/AIDS patients have been protected us, dont let us to be infected. But we even words all dont, they say, even a kind word doesnt say them. HIV/AIDS patients is that we need more care and support, they also want to like normal person, doing what you can do a normal person.
生活里有很多人都患有艾滋病。许多人都以为艾滋病会传染，连拥抱、握手这种动作都会传染。
那我要告诉你们，你们错了，你们错的太离谱了。和艾滋病病人做这种动作，是不会传染的，即使你们知道不会传染，也不愿意去和他们做这种动作，你们在心里排斥他们，在生活上排斥他们。
有些人甚至连靠近他们，都不愿意去靠近。患有艾滋病病人知道这种病不会传染，但是，在他们身边人不知道他们患有艾滋病的情况下，尽量不让自己被别人碰触自己身体的每一处。他们这么做是为什么?为的是不想让别人也感染到，尽管自己知道不会传染，但还是这么做了。
艾滋病患者一直都在保护着我们，不让我们受到感染。我们却连句话都不和他们说，连一句温暖的话也不和他们说一句。艾滋病患者需要的是我们更多的关爱和支持，他们也想和正常人一样，做着正常人能做的事。
