从赋闲的爷爷，到每天忙碌的爸爸，还有馋嘴的我，菠萝，是我们三个人的最爱。

成熟的菠萝色泽金黄，鲜美多汁，酸甜可口，还没吃到嘴里，已经令人胃酸澎湃，口舌生津了。

爸爸削菠萝的手艺是一绝，通常家里用的是菜刀，只见手起刀落，眨眼的功夫儿，菠萝厚实的外衣就一圈圈的剥落了，露出来的是鲜黄多汁的果肉，削出来的菠萝呈螺旋状，菠塔翠绿，果肉金黄，乍是喜人!

菠萝削成这样还是个普通水平，高级的削法是不能用菜刀的，这样就太野蛮了，有点暴殄天物!这时就需要一把锋利的水果刀或雕刻刀，一刀一刀剔掉菠萝表面每个凸起的部分，大约十几分钟的时间才能完成。

这时的菠萝呈灯笼盏状，雍容华贵，仿佛是一位穿着黄色连衣裙，浑身散发着迷人香气的贵妇人。这时的菠萝，与其说是菠萝，我更愿意相信它是一件艺术品，在它鲜美多汁的果肉上，呈现出一种完美的螺旋形，每一条螺旋的花纹都有许多规则和不规则的四边形组成，当所有的几何排列在一起时，它呈现出来的是一种惊艳的，难以置信的几何美。这样的菠萝，我都有点不好意思吃了，哈哈!

金黄的菠萝一劈四瓣，再一刀一刀切成小扇子状，插上牙签，第一块给爷爷，第二块给爸爸，第三块给我吃。虽然我早已是胃酸澎湃，馋涎欲滴，但是做人嘛，吃要有吃相，吃相难看的人，走哪里都不受人待见。

这次我没有扔掉菠萝塔，剥掉四五层叶片，削掉老皮，露出斑点状的塔心，放到清水里浸泡。今天我再看时，已经从塔心斑点处，长出了一点点白色的嫩芽，如果再长的，就会变成菠萝的根须了。

未来，它能不能长成金黄可人的菠萝，那就把未来交给未来，未来我们只能拭目以待!

六年的小学时光，眨眼间就过去了。回想六年前，父母第一次带着小小的我走进这陌生的校园，现在，我已经有了很多好朋友和美好的回忆，不再孤单。可是今天，我们就要分别了。往日的点点滴滴，如潮水一般涌入我的脑海，一丝一缕的校园回忆都散布在校园的一草一木，一砖一瓦中——

端午节是我们中国十分隆重的节日，它是为了纪念战国时期伟大的爱国诗人屈原，现在的中国人还在延续这一习俗，甚至还有一天的法定节日。

Dragon Boat Festival is a very grand festival in China. It is to

commemorate Qu Yuan, a great patriotic poet in the Warring States period. Now

Chinese people still continue this custom, even a legal festival.

农历五月初五就是端午节了，家家户户都要包粽子，还有有趣的划龙舟比赛呢!奶奶在家已经煮好了香喷喷的粽子，打开锅盖满屋都飘着粽子的清香，让我闻得口水直流个不停。我迫不及待地剥开粽子叶津津有味的吃了起来，真是回味无穷呀!

Grandma has cooked delicious zongzi at home. When she opened the pot cover, the

continuously. I cant wait to peel off the zongzi leaf and eat it with relish.

吃完粽子后，爸爸带我去看划龙舟比赛，这里人山人海，车水马龙的可热闹了!比赛开始了，各个队伍都蓄势待发，随着一阵枪声一条条龙舟飞快地划过水面，犹如一支支箭向前飞去。在场的观众们兴奋喊道着加油加油，在为参赛者加油鼓励，参赛者们听了心里充满了信心使劲地划桨，水花到处飞溅。各条龙舟你追我赶的，最后，落后的一号终于追上了遥遥领先的二号第一个冲过了终点，观众们不禁欢呼起来，到处都是一片欢乐的海洋。啊!这真是我最难忘的一天了。

After eating zongzi, my father took me to watch the dragon boat race. There

are lots of people here, and the traffic is very busy! The race started, and

every team is ready to go. With a burst of gunfire, each dragon boat flies

across the water like an arrow. The audience cheered and shouted, cheering and

encouraging for the contestants. The contestants listened with confidence and

strove hard to paddle, and the water splashed everywhere. Each dragon boat

chased after each other. At last, the laggard No. 1 finally caught up with the

far ahead No. 2. The audience couldnt help cheering. There was a sea of joy

everywhere. Ah! This is the most unforgettable day for me.

自从暑假开始后，我不是写作业就是上暑假班，周六一连上四节课，不留一点儿喘息的时间。

放假后对比一下上学的时光，作业多了几倍，兴趣班也多了，变少就是休息、玩耍的快乐时光。我反而想回学校上学去了，妈妈又给了我一座课外的暑假作业山，那么多作业写下来我都要疯了，很晩才写好，学习任务比魔鬼还魔鬼。

我看电影的时间原本是铁钉一样死死地钉在7月20日的，但学习任务太重，在妈妈的软磨硬泡下，看电影被拖入了黑名单里。

我恨不得立马回学校上课，在暑假的魔鬼作业和星星一样多的兴趣班里，我的精神一再被消耗，黑眼圈也出来了，上课总是没精神，我听着听着都快睡着了，好不容易才下课，又要赶着去下一个假期班。

为什么暑假会变得一点儿也不好呢?为什么和魔鬼训练一样可怕，父母也只知道叫孩子们学习，一点也不懂我们。本想在暑假锻练一下自己的身体，现在一切都泡汤了。

真希望这个“假”的暑假早点过去，早点儿回学校开学。

说出来你也许不相信，暑假开始了，我的打工生活也开始了。我和妈妈约定，暑假我要用自己打工赚的钱做我喜欢做的事情。

时间过得还真是快，一转眼，暑假已经过去一个月了。我每周有三天的时间去少年城上课，在那里，老师教会我写作文还有思维训练。我最喜欢的是周五的机器人课了，我可以自己动手组装机器人，我第一次做的摇椅机器人，第二次做的是车。当我把机器人组装成功的时候特别的开心，觉得自己太了不起了，像一个伟大的发明家。

没有课的时候，我会帮妈妈做家务的。摘菜，刷碗，洗衣服，哈哈，妈妈也是要付给我工钱的。晚上，我和妈妈去广场打羽毛球，不过我们的技术都不是很好。妈妈说只要我们多练练，就会打得好，所以我们要努力呀。

开学前，我和妈妈计划去看世博会。我还打算用自己的工钱办一张游泳卡，我的好多同学都游泳呢!妈妈说，只要我喜欢，一定会大力支持的。感谢妈妈!教会我生活，教会我做事。

我一定要珍惜暑假的每一天，因为我还有好多事情没有做呢，游泳，去海洋世界。我都觉得时间不够用呢!

I am a December 2003 graduate from the University of San Francisco (USF) with a bachelors degree in International Business. As part of my career planning, I am very interested in supplementing my international business education with a basic knowledge of the Chinese language. This I hope will help me enter into business commerce with business organizations partnering with Chinas economic development.

I already have information from BLCU and hope to study there for at least one full year starting with this summers program continuing through the fall and spring semester 2006. Can your office advise me if such scholarships might be available to me?

I have been studying Chinese for one year now. I am not sure what level I belong to. I was told that there will be an HSK test in our university in September. I am planning to attend the test. “今天天气好晴朗，处处好风光，好风光。”我和烁烁哥哥哼着歌，和爷爷出发去看山。

那年暑假，爸爸说要带我和姐姐去七彩沙河玩，我高兴得团团转，忙收拾泳衣泳帽。

外面的天气非常炎热，烈日当空，整个身体犹如在蒸笼，小鸟在树上唱着歌，路边的两排杨树高大苍翠，将树荫铺满了路，我们驱车走在这条通向水上乐园的路上。

我们刚到大门前，我就被那些动漫装饰给吸引住了，拉着姐姐我迫不及待地跑了进去。换好泳衣后我从那里走了出来，望着眼前的景象惊呆了，那么多人，那么多游乐设施，我的心情激动不已。我们飞奔似地跑向海哮池，海啸池上面的亭子上有的人唱歌，有的人跳舞，我们大家开心地玩着。这时海浪突然来了，人们大声地尖叫着，欢笑着，声音震耳欲聋，会游泳的人使劲往海浪里游，不会游泳的人向岸上狂奔着，整个场面十分混乱。我的头刚从水里钻出来，就又被海浪拍了进去，过了十分钟后，海浪终于停了，我累得气喘吁吁。休息了一会儿后，我又准备去玩下一个游乐设施。

走着走着，我又被网红桥给吸引住了，几十个人在大桥上晃来晃去，动作协调有序，幅度也很大，下面是水，如果没站稳，就会掉入水中。我小心翼翼地走上桥，感觉站都站不稳，刚开始晃了两下我就掉到了水里。第二次我有了一点经验，往左晃时，右脚要用力踩，往右晃时，左脚要用力踩，可晃了几次还是又掉到了水里。第三次眼看要掉下去时，我灵机一动，抓住前边那个人的腰，又晃了几下，把那个人一起拉了下去，这下可把我摔疼了。掉到水里后，我的头很晕，但这并不能抵挡我的开心，我使劲往桥上泼水，想让桥上所有人都掉下来。

过了一会儿，我去玩别的了，又玩了漂流、大嗽叭……一直玩到下午六点才走。

那天玩得可真快活，回家时，我一直扭头望着那水上乐园，恋恋不舍地走了。

Be Grateful to Our Parents

Since we were born， many people help us a lot. We should be grateful to their kindness. But the ones we should show our greatest appreciation are our parents. From the first day we appear in their lives， they give us all their love and care， but never expect anything in return. As long as they are there， we do not feel any difficulties， because they are always in front of our shelter， preventing us from difficulties and danger. In order to make our lives better， learn better， they do everything they can to create the best conditions for us， but ignore their own needs. Remember last years summer vacation, my father and I went for a walk EHu edge, a way, Im kind of shouted thirsty, so my father on the side of the road store bought me a Popsicle. 记得是去年的暑假，我和爸爸一起去鹅湖边散步，走了一段路，我就一个劲的喊口渴，于是，爸爸就在路边的小店给我买了根冰棍。我边吃边走，一会儿就吃完了，随手把冰棍棒往鹅湖里一扔。爸爸看见了，马上提醒我说;“可可，不能乱扔垃圾噢!如果每个人都像你一样往湖里扔垃圾，这美丽的鹅湖不就变成了垃圾湖了。”我羞愧的说：“知道了，我下次一定不乱扔垃圾。”爸爸微笑着抚摸我的头说：“地球也是我们的家，我们应该保护它，爱护它，让天更蓝，水更清，草更绿。”我调皮的说：“噢，那就是大家一直说的，城市是我家，环境清洁靠大家。我明白了。”让从那以后，我再也不乱扔垃圾了。

我想爱护环境与每个人息息相关，所以要从每个人做起!
