北风的低吼夹杂着时断时续的咳嗽声。一个小女孩正躺在床上，期盼着漫长的夜赶快过去。小女孩从小体弱多病，今早又刚去医院作过客。她的爸爸出差了，日常起居都由妈妈料理。对于她这个年龄的发烧病人来说，夜晚常常十分难熬。

突然，房间的门“吱呀”一声开了一条缝，微弱的光线漏进来——是女孩的妈妈。妈妈快步轻手轻脚地走到她身边，放下药，扶着女孩坐起来。女孩的胃里一阵翻江倒海，她的双唇紧闭，神色紧张而难受，颈处冒着冷汗。妈妈敏锐地捕捉到了什么，赶紧抓着女孩的冰冷手腕，有力地搀扶着女孩，把她带进了卫生间，打开了马桶盖，女孩吐了，感到全身无力。

“没关系，吐完就好了，吐完就好了……”她一边轻拍女孩的背，一边喃喃道。掌心的热度传到女孩身上，驱走了些许寒意。

过了一会儿，女孩又回到了床上，妈妈正耐心地给她喂药，她将盛着棕红色药的小勺举到她嘴边，可她始终不愿张开嘴。“良药苦口利于病，药虽苦，却能把病菌赶跑。你难道不想早点好起来，早点和其他小朋友一起玩吗?嗯，咱们和以往一样好不好，你边喝药，我边给你讲好玩的故事……”她柔声说道。女孩似懂非懂，开心地张嘴喝掉了药水。妈妈就这样一勺一勺地喂她，直到喂完，当然，一块小冰糖、几匙白开水的“安慰奖”也是少不了的。妈妈给女孩盖好了被子，侧躺在女孩旁边，小女孩则舒服地依偎在妈妈身边。

窗外的风雪愈演愈烈，房间里却十分温暖。

第二天清晨，阳光温柔地抚摸大地，女孩睁开眼睛，她看到妈妈仍在熟睡，脸上挂着疲惫。她回想起了昨晚妈妈扶着她去卫生间，一次次喂她喝水吃药，把湿毛巾敷在她额头上……女孩决定先不叫醒她。
