As part of my career planning, I am very interested in supplementing my international business education with a basic knowledge of the Chinese language. This I hope will help me enter into business commerce with business organizations partnering with Chinas economic development.

I already have information from BLCU and hope to study there for at least one full year starting with this summers program continuing through the fall and spring semester 2006. Can your office advise me if such scholarships might be available to me?

I have been studying Chinese for one year now. I am not sure what level I belong to. I was told that there will be an HSK test in our university in September. I am planning to attend the test. But I dont know if the result of the test is recognized by your university. If so, can it be a help for me to apply for the scholarship?

However, my ideal job is teaching. Firstly, I’m told that teachers have a high income. With the high income, I can open a training school to help the children in poor families with their education. More importantly, teachers are angels to students, who can pass on the knowledge to students as well as help them develop their hobbies and interests. I have many friends, but Jim is one of my best friends. He is not handsome,

题量怎么会这么多?还都是没复习到的内容，这下可算是完了!但拿到数学考试卷时，我在心中暗叫不好，可却也没有用了。

考试前，我将大部分复习时间都给了英语。我从不担心数学。我数学成绩一向较好，也许是因为我特别喜欢数学吧。可是就因为我这样的盲目自信，这次则是老天爷也救不了我了。我写写涂涂，不再利落快速。

这样大的题量，再加上我许多题型都不熟，考试结束时，我还余下许多题目，只能丧着脸离开考场：怎么回事啊，我怎么做了这么蠢的事儿!这下可真是辜负了所有人!唉!

那是期末考试，寒假随着考试结束而开始，大家都很开心地走亲访友，只有我像是头顶有一朵乌云，走到哪儿也无法融入他们其乐融融的氛围。心中又期待又绝望地等着成绩出来的那一刻。期待的是能出现个奇迹，绝望的是这样的奇迹基本没可能发生。

除夕，成绩出来了。只记得那日大雪飘飞，四处零落，落在发间、肩头和指上，都好像是消融渗透进了心尖，异常冰凉，让人冷得发疼。当我得知我的数学没及格时，我就仿佛被一道雷击中了，耳边什么声音都静默了，只剩那轰鸣声徘徊在耳边，久久不能离去。

几乎同时，母亲收到了好几条数学老师发的信息。我心间一紧，只道这一顿批评肯定是跑不了了。可看到了数学老师的消息，才发现事态并非如我所料。老师发了四五条消息，却全然没有责怪我，只迫切地关心着我的身体情况，问是不是考试时有什么不适。还安慰道：“没关系，咱们下次努努力，再给他考回来，不差这一次。”可谁都知道，初二的期末考试到底有多重要。老师如此轻描淡写，只是为了不让我害怕。泪水在眼眶中打转，我不知道该如何回老师的消息，只能心中警告自己不能再做这种傻事。我忍不住又看了一遍那字里行间饱含的温暖，那是数学老师对我最大的宽容与信任。我鼻尖一酸，便不争气地落了泪。

雪是欢乐的舞台。来到一栋楼前的空地上，我们一家人吹响了打雪仗的号角。战斗开始了。爸爸先攻击了我。他轻快地走着，把雪球侧向一边，果断地跃起，把它从天上扔了出去。我找对时机，侧着身子，然后迅速躲开。只是一颗快乐的心，没想到后面很快被什么击中了。啊，原来是我妈妈的诡计——偷袭。现在我要小心了。轮到我进攻了。我心里有个计划。我指着远处，高兴地叫道：“哇!那里的雪景多美啊，我父母马上转过身去看，我看到了一个机会，趁机把雪球扔给了妈妈。”是的，是的!”雪在我的笑声中回荡了很长时间。

谢谢你冬天的雪，这雪给我带来了家庭的幸福。我希望你的脚步再慢一点!

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a very important Chinese festival. It’s on lunar

fifth of August.

In the evening, we have a big dinner. Look, there is a lot of delicious

food on the table. We can drink a glass of juice. We stand beside the table and

we say, “Cheers, cheers, happy Mid-Autumn Festival!” We make a wish to each

other. At night, the moon is usually round and bright. It looks like a ball. We

can enjoy the moon. Moon cakes are the special food for this festival. We can

eat moon cakes, too. In the Mid-Autumn Festival, my parents and I are all very

happy and excited.

Dear Sir,

I am working on a new project which is called A Survey of New Industry in the Maywood District. According to the design of our district, we need information about firms that have recently moved into this area. Your firm is one of the largest of these, so I shall be very grateful if you can spare the time to help me.

Three points are specially important to the project. The first one is the training schemes for school leavers. The second one is about the transport arrangements to overcome poor road and rail links in this district. The third is the plans for expansion.

Any other information will be useful, but those points are the ones with which I most need your help.

今天下午我们班举行了“我爱冬天”迎接新年的主题班会，有好多老师和家长都来观看我们精心准备的精彩节目，全班同学也都特别兴奋。

我们一起背诵了描写冬天的古诗和成语，一起观看了美丽的冬天的风景，还有同学背诵了冬天的诗歌。冬天真是太美了！我最喜欢的是王小辉和程乐岩朗诵的“沁园春·雪”，他们两个声音洪亮，感情丰富，我们都听得入迷了。我和刘美含·张子墨·王英姿我们四个表演了“铃儿响叮当”的舞蹈，愿我们欢快的铃声给每位老师·家长和同学们带来新一年的祝福！
