I’m afraid…常用于表达与别人意见不同后拒绝别人的请求，有时也可以用在表示不肯定或推测的话前面，是口语中十分常用的短语。它的后面可以接从句，也可以加或。如

B: I’m afraid you must

“be afraid of +名词或动名词”的用法也很常用。表示“害怕”。如：

She is afraid of going out at night.

15. (not)…until (till)

在这一句型结构中until (till) 引导的是时间状语(从句)，因此从句中不能用将来时，只能用一般现在时代替。如果主句的谓语动词或until (till)前面的动词是一个瞬间动词，那么该动词必须用否定形式。一般地来说until和till的意思与用法都基本相同，唯一的区别在于可以置于句首，而不能。如：

He watched TV until (till) his parents came back.

We couldn’t go back home until the rain stopped.

No more, not any more, no longer, not any longer这几个短语都表示“不再......，再也不......”。在使用时请注意它们在句子中的位置。如：

When i was in high school, I had to study all the time and hardly had spare

time to do what i wanted to.Besides, I had to focus on my textbooks and doing

exercise again and again. Therefore, I had little time to read magazines and

novels and watch TV. what was worse, I couldnt play with my friends a lot, which

I couldnt stand the most. In a word, all i did in high shool should be

I was only nine years old when I learnt how to use a computer. My mother is my first teacher. I know how to type, how to copy a file, and how to visit a web site on the Internet. One day, mom was not at home. I turned on the computer and began to learn how to chat on net. The first one I met there was a boy called Tom. He greeted me politely. I went to search the internet, and many people said that.” Because my Dad need to work after breakfast, so my Mom would take me there by herself. After 30 minutes, we arrived the science center.

The science center is very big, and it has every countries’ costumes on it. The whole science center look like an eye with globe. Then we went inside the science center to buy tickets. It is really cool inside. My Mom asked me to go to watch a movie, and then we went to.

Time pass quickly. It was time for us to go home, but I really happy today.

Its winter vacation. I went to Grandpas house with my mother and sister for

the new year.

buddy this year. In order to prevent the virus, I can only stay at home

obediently. Although I cant go out, I can listen to my grandfathers stories at

Since I came to middle school, I have to learn so many subjects, at first,

homework. But when I finished my homework, I forced myself to go over other

subjects. Though I was very tired, I still keptstudying until midnight. But it

did not work, I did not made progress. I talked to my teacher, she told me to

step. I realized my mistake and adjusted my method and it works.
