重阳节中午，我和妈妈一起去看望外婆。来到外婆家，只见外婆正躺在床上。她看见我们来了，立即起身准备下床，嘴里嘀咕着要去刨土豆给我们做几个菜。我见外婆下床来，心想:外婆现在生病了应该多加休息，一些刨土豆、洗菜的事情就交给我来做吧!于是，我赶紧跑到外婆身边，让她继续躺着床上：“外婆，刨土豆、洗菜的事就交代给我吧，用不着您来干。”外婆听了，嘴角微微一笑。妈妈便坐下来和外婆聊了起来。

外婆家我再熟悉不过了。我跑到后门拿了几个大土豆，然后跑到厨房拿来刨刀，又跑到院子，蹲在垃圾桶旁刨了起来。刨好了土豆，洗好了菜，剩下的烧饭做菜是妈妈的任务了。我跑到外婆的身边给她捶捶背，揉揉脚。外婆乐呵呵地说：“你这孩子真乖!”不一会儿，可以吃中午饭了。我把外婆扶起来，抓着她的手，慢慢走到餐桌旁，拿来椅子让外婆坐下。这餐饭，外婆吃得津津有味的，我也吃得特别有味道。

回家的路上，我想：我们尊敬老人，孝敬老人不仅仅是在老人节那天，应该时常关心他们，让他们过一个幸福的晚年。
