指猴又叫绒猴，和它的名字一样，指猴只有人的一根手指差不多大小。指猴的身高10—12厘米左右，重约80—100克。最大的也不过35厘米左右。它尾巴又长又蓬松，一般可达20—35厘米，就像一把小扫帚。
