My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice.

听妈妈说，我出生在有文都之美称的安徽——桐城。他们住在偏僻的农村，后来他们从乡村走到城市，从贫穷走到小康，见证了改革开放40年来祖国日新月异，翻天覆地的变化。

经常听爷爷和爸爸讲述我尚未记忆的“神奇”，我的内心就非常的激动！爸爸说小时候家里除了几件破旧的家具，基本没有任何家电。出门都是靠步行，村里的道路都是泥巴路，下雨天，寸步难行。上学的路上要走1个多小时，才能到校。冬天的时候，天没亮就得出门！村子很大，但是没有几家有电视机，夏天的晚上，大家经常聚在稻谷场一起看电影、聊天。什么叫手机，连座机都没有……

后来他们搬到了城里，爷爷奶奶买了三轮车，干起来载客拉货的活。这个时候爸爸已经上高中了，日子渐渐过得富裕起来。后来家里装了座机，买了黑白电视机。那时候爸爸开心得几天几夜睡不着，见人就炫耀！

随着社会的不断发展，农村生活也开始告别了贫困的面貌，有了城市化的生活状态。以前艰难泥泞小路，变成了宽广大道。家家户户也都盖起了楼房。出门有轿车、公交车。在家看彩电，抽空可以玩电脑，吃自己喜欢的食物，无忧无虑的学习和生活……这些种种的改变都是改革开放带给我们的变化，当然也少不了我们自己的努力。

世界在进步，中国在进步，我们也在进步！我在想，如果再过40年又会怎样呢？

我的家乡是岳西，那里很美很美。在改革开放政策的引领下，只不过短短几十年的时间，家乡就有了翻天覆地的变化。

在改革开放的浪潮中，我的家乡竟然变成了一个繁华而又昌盛，美丽而又和谐的小县城。在这里出行更便捷了，一条条宽阔的柏油马路纵横有序地穿插在县城的每一个角落。马路上有各种各样的小汽车和面包车在奔驰着，连出租车和公交车都有了。居住条件更舒适了，一栋栋高耸的大楼拔地而起。而且每家每户的家用电器也一应俱全，比如电冰箱、电视机、洗衣机等，许多家庭还添置了电脑，这样就可以方便地上网搜集资料，查看信息了！休闲方式更丰富了，有大型超市、游乐场、电影院、KTV、体育馆等休闲场所应有尽有。以往的衙前河馈赠给市民的休闲方式比较单一，基本以散步为主，如今衙前河变美了，气氛也热闹了，不仅出现了文艺表演、画画等休闲方式，同时还增设了许多健身器材供市民锻炼身体，非常贴心。

看到了这些巨大的变化，我不禁想起往年县城的样子，破旧而又脏乱，萧条而又冷清。

在那时，路面不是水泥路和柏油路，而是泥土路。房子也只是普通的土坯房和平房，持续下大雨的时候，很多房子会进水，甚至倒塌，给许多居民带来不便。再看看现在的宽阔而又平坦的马路，处处高楼林立，给人一种大都市的感觉。

家乡的变化真是太大了，这一切都是在改革的春风吹拂下大家一起努力创造的辉煌。我一定要努力学习，从身边小事做起，为家乡的建设舔砖加瓦。
