我的家乡在佳木斯又有华夏东极之称，它虽然没有江南的美景，也没有杭州西湖的妖娆，但它却散发着一种平凡的美。

以前的佳木斯交通和经济都没有现在这么发达，人们都是步行，家里条件好一些的就骑自行车上下学，出远门就要做火车，现在经济好了，人们都有了汽车，出门都开私家车，火车也提速了，还有了高铁，大大方便了人们的出行。

以前家乡的路都是土路坑坑洼洼，晴天还好可是到了雨天，路面上到处都是水坑，泥泞不堪，走在上面深一脚浅一脚的，一不小心就会滑倒。随着新的建设，原来那条泥泞的土路，变成了平坦的水泥路，路上的行人更多了，车也可以并排行驶了。

现在那些低矮的房屋不见了，矗立在你面前的是一座座崭新的高楼大厦，家里用上了太阳能，装上了抽水马桶，黑白电视变成了大屏彩电，地上全都铺了瓷砖，就连墙壁也变得更白更亮了，再也不用担心家里会漏雨了。
