As is known to all, China is popular for its emperor of bicycles. This is

because our country is still a developing country and few people can afford

private cars. The demand for a means of transport is met by making millions of

bicycles available. Riding a bicycle has a lot of advantages over driving a car.

First, it is a physical exercise to ride a bicycle. In contrast, sitting in the

car, one tends to gain weight. Besides, it is nmch more economical to ride a

bike than drive a car. On the one hand,the only fee a bike-rider has to pay is

the annual tax. However, the annual fees for a car are costly. On the other

hand, a bike neednt be equipped with a parking lot, but a car must. Most

important of all, it is beneficial to the environment to ride a bicycle because

the bike doesnt consume petrol; it is a pollution-free transport. In contrast,

the exhaust released by the car is harmful to the environment. Since China is a

developing country with a large population, bicycles will still be the most

popular means of transport in China for quite a long time. Most people will

still ride bicycles to go to work or to school. The emperor country of bicycles

will remain for at least dozens of years.

Clearly if we are to participate in the society in which we live we must

communicate with other people.

A great deal of communicating is performed on a person-to-person basis by

the simple means of speech.

If we travel in buses, buy things in shops, or eat in restaurants, we are

likely to have conversations where we give information or opinions, receive news

or comment, and very likely have our views challenged by other members of

society.

Face-to-face contact is by no means the only form of communication and

during the last two hundred years the art of mass communication has become one

of the dominating factors of contemporary society.

Firstly, inventiveness has led to advances in printing, telecommunications,

photography, radio and television.

Secondly, speed has revolutionized the transmission and reception of

communications so that local news often takes a back seat to national news,

which itself is often almost eclipsed by international news.

No longer is the possession of information confined to a privileged

minority.

In the last century the wealthy man with his own library was indeed

fortunate, but today there are public libraries.

Forty years ago people used to flock to the cinema, but now far more people

sit at home and turn on the TV to watch a program that is being channeled into

millions of homes.

Communication is no longer merely concerned with the transmission of

information.

The modern communication industry influences the way people live in society

and broadens their horizons by allowing access to information, education and

entertainment.

The printing, broadcasting and advertising industries are all involved with

informing, educating and entertaining.

Although a great deal of the material communicated by the mass media is

very valuable to the individual and to the society of which he is a part, the

vast modern network of communications is open to abuse.

However, the mass media are with us for better, for worse, and there is no

turning back.

我的家乡有许多挺拔的小松树，树木中间有一条大河，河水多多的，河岸边有许多碧绿的小草，河水一年四季都流着，河水里有许多小鱼，河面上有一些鸭子，鸭子嘎嘎叫着！好像在说：“这个地方真好啊！”来到这里的人都说：“这儿真的是人间天堂啊。”有一些孩子经常来这里钓鱼。

我一回到那久别重逢的家乡，一踏进那美丽、温和的家乡，我惊奇地发现了家乡完全不一样了。

因为回来的那天正好是中秋节，我发现：以前坑坑洼洼的小路不见了，全是高速公路了，以前的人都买不起小轿车，现在的人都买得到太阳能小轿车了，现在的科技真发达呀！

以前那些平房，都变成了高楼大厦，一幢幢楼房都有7、8层了，不像以前最高的也只有3、4层，从前的屋子只有半个篮球场那么大，而现在足足有2个篮球场那么大了。

家乡的人，以前黑糊糊的，而现在的婶婶、叔叔、阿姨都很注重保养了，而且现在都不用自己种田了，都用机器了，只要按动遥控器就能让机器下地干活了。

我正在家里洗碗，妈妈说：“英儿，晚上就是八月十五了，快跟妈妈去买菜，晚上我们要好好的聚一下。”

到了晚上，我和爸爸妈妈、弟弟们在一块吃饭了，妈妈说：好久没有这种感觉了，晚上我们谈了一晚上的心事，真高兴，有说有笑的，而桌子上的饭菜，我们一口都没有吃到。

然后我和妈妈去散步，看到了一块池塘，家乡什么都变，就是这块仍然绿得像一个碧玉一样的池塘，它仍然存在着，每当走过这个池塘，我都会停留，我会想直童年时代戏水的情景，妈妈总是说：英儿小心点儿。

家乡变化真大呀！我爱家乡，不过我还是喜欢以前的家乡，因为那里有我的童年时代的美好回忆，家乡，我爱你！

Such a movie called “Growing Pains” seems full of knowledge and experience.

So it does because all of us have growing pains and also growing gains in our

lives.

Growing up is not a very enjoyable time. It means I have to work hard in

studying and in family. There’s always so much homework given by teachers and so

many arguments between the parents and me. The time is fair, but it seems it

gives pains three quarters and only one quarter to gains.

But gains give me power and confidence. Successes and friendship make me

happy and enjoyable. We played with snow in the winter that seldom snows, we

flew kites in the night that usually belongs to homework, we ate several ice

creams that almost made us cold. We picked up leaven that no longer high up!

Although pains are always more than gains, I believe both of them make my

life more colorful.

A Visit to the Flower Show

Last week Nature Park held a flower show. I went to visit it with my friends. I was very glad to see so many beautiful flowers in the park. I was really amazed to see a sea of colourful

flowers. They told me that some rare flowers came from Taiwan. Thousands of people stopped and watched them carefully. I took many pictures there. Taiwan has always been a part of our country. I am sure sooner or later we can go there to see many more beautiful flowers. What great fun it will be.

早先，村庄里有一条清澈见底、充满生机的小溪流，我和小伙伴们常常到那里掏泥鳅、捉螃蟹、捞蝌蚪，别提有多开心了。

可是，不知什么时候起，溪流边出现了一个个大大排污口，不时有污水被放到溪水中，一开始大家没觉得有什么大碍。可是，时间久了，小溪流渐渐失去了清澈，大片大片的水草张了出来，犹如绿色的地毯在河底随水摇晃。一天过去了，一个月过去了……当我再次来到溪流边玩耍时，我惊呆了，惊讶地几乎嘴巴都合不拢了，密密麻麻的浮萍覆盖着小溪，偶尔的间隙中，漂浮着翻着肚皮的小白鱼，再也看不到原本清澈见底的溪水了。

小溪这是怎么了？我跑回家，翻箱倒柜查找资料。经过不懈的努力，我终于找到了原因。原来小溪得的是富营养化的“怪病”。水中的磷含量超标，导致水草过度生长，与水中的生物争夺氧气，鱼虾最终举起了白旗。

听，小溪仿佛正在哭泣，泪流满面地呐喊着：“请你们保护好环境，让我变回原来的模样吧！”

English is the necessary subject to learn. Since I went to school, I have

to learn it. But I am not interested in it because I cant find how useful it

is. Two months ago, there was a new English teacher taught us, I realized that

her teaching method was very different. Before the lesson, she would let us to

listen to the English songs, or sometimes we needed to do role play. It was so

funny for us. We were very interested in the songs. Sometimes we could enjoy the

movie, which just opened my eyes. I saw a different world. I wanted to learn

Traveling is moer and more popular in the modern world.it helps us open our

When we are free during the holiday ,we can go to some beautiful places to

feeling in all we see,there we can eat all kinds of delicious food,visit many

On the other hand ,traveling will help us learn lots of local cultures

,people’s lives there ,sometimes you can make some new friends,it also can make

your life colorful.to us students mwe can relax ourselves from the busy studying

life,we can use these experiences in our studying.

So if you have time ,traveling is the best way to relax yourself the more

My hometown used to be a backward place, because it was deep in the mountains, where there were no nice buildings and the roads were so narrow and dirty. People lived a poor life.

Last year, my father bought a lovely pet for me. She has four white paws

and a white and yellow tail. She has two small ears, two green eyes and eight

whiskers on her face. Her name is Sally and she is one year old.

Do you know what it is? A cat? Yes, it is a cat. She has very short fur and

she is quite small. She weighs about 2 kilograms. She is usually very friendly

and quiet. We never frighten her or pull her tail or ears. She likes walking

around me and playing with me.

If she is hungry, she will miaow. Usually, she eats food from a tin, but

her favorite food is fish. She likes juice if it is not too cold. She likes to

chase and catch mice and sometimes she plays with butterflies. Sally often plays

with balls and pieces of string. She does not like dogs and she hates the rain.

She likes sitting on the sofa and watching TV.

Sally is a very good friend, but she is quite lazy! She never worries

because we take good care of her. She is always a happy cat.

在我的印象中，家乡的路一直都是凹凸不平的，尤其是家门前的那条小路，坐车经过时，感觉像坐过山车似的，非常颠簸。但是，这一次回来，我发现家乡的小路变了。

以前，家乡的那条羊肠小道一直都很泥泞。一路上都是坑坑洼洼的，坑里蓄满了泥水。在雨天行走很麻烦，雨水积在水坑里，当人们不小心踩中泥坑，那泥水便会溅起来，溅到人们身上到处都是。那些泥印，洗好几次也洗不干净。晴天时，湿泥已经晒成了尘土。车一经过，就会尘土满天飞，像沙尘暴一样。行人走过都要戴上口罩，不然被尘土飞入了口腔那就麻烦了。

现在政策改革了，道路有了很大的变化。以前泥泞的道路，一眨眼就变成了宽阔大气的泊油路。路边种着一排排的参天大树，郁郁葱葱的，树下那一丛丛的野菊，散发出了一股股沁人心脾的花香，使人闻后心旷神怡。沥青路显得宽阔平坦，树给路撑起了一顶顶遮阳伞。

清晨，一阵清脆的闹钟声把我吵醒，我伸了个懒腰，从床上慢慢地起床。突然，一个身影闪进我的房间，原来是妈妈。妈妈笑得合不拢嘴又故作神秘看着我，我怔怔望着妈妈，她小声的对我说：“你叔叔要回来了。”我一听立马从床上跳了起来，屋子里传来一阵我的怪笑。

果然，第二天清晨他回来了。我的叔叔，今年四十多岁，多年前他是只身一人到外地打工，每一次回来，我都能从他那里听到好多外面的奇闻趣事。今天可谓是“衣锦还乡”，他坐下来和我爸爸聊天，我就坐在一旁听着。我原以为他会和爸爸谈在外面的趣事，可是他却谈他回家乡的所见所感，我开始有点不感兴趣了。

他对爸爸说：“利辛这几年的变化真是太大了，我回来时差点找不到家门了！”我一听就乐了，“利辛有什么变化，还不是那个老样子，”我心里暗自嘀咕。

爸爸感慨的说：“是呀！以前的利辛县城方圆就只有几公里，现在新城区建设非常快，一条条笔直的马路建设完成，贯通东西南北，工业园里一个个工厂拔地而起，现在城市面积比原先扩大了十倍，连生活在利辛的人也有迷路的！”

“真是日新月异呀，我下车走在路上，眼前的一幕让我惊呆了。宽敞的水泥路四通八达，机动车种类繁多，有很多都是名牌车；两旁的绿化带建设别致，一座座楼房如雨后春笋林立道路两旁，街道上人来人往，非常热闹，但是非常有秩序，又很整洁；工业园里很多的工厂，都是我打工的那个城市的分厂，我还以为到了大城市里了呢！农村家家户户多盖上的二层小楼，村村通了水泥路，比大城市的人住的还要舒服。”他眼里放着光说。

我一听乐了，利辛这几年是有了一些的变化，可是我怎么没有发现有他说的那么好呢！这时他语重心长的对我说：“你要好好学习呀，家乡发展越来越快，需要很多的人才，你们这一代赶上好时候了！不出家门就能找到好的工作。”

我点点头说：“我一定好好学习，等你下次回来，我告诉你我的好成绩。”

他一听愣了一会笑着说：“下次回来，这次回家我打算明年不再出去了，背井离乡在外面打工，一年也就是挣个几万块钱，除去开支也剩不了多少，家乡发展这么快，机会这么多，随便干什么也能挣个几万块，又能照顾家庭。我都打算好了，准备把这几年的积蓄用来投资办一个小加工厂，就在咱镇上，既不愁销路，也不愁工人，一年下来绝对比在外地打工强。”

爸爸随声附和道：“真像你说的，现在我们镇上就有好几家这样的加工厂，有加工服装的，又织毛衣的，还有织袜子的……我们村就有好多人在那里工作，听说一个月能挣两三千呢！”

听着他们的谈话，我陷入深深的思考，是的，近几年家乡变化就是大，只不过我每天都生活在这种变化中，没有发现罢了。利辛有了新变化，变成了新利辛，吸引了很多的外商在利辛办厂，也包括那些以前在外地拼搏的利辛人，我作为新一代的利辛人更应该抓住现在的学习机会，好好学习，与利辛同步发展，为建设美好的利辛积累知识，培养能力，不然真的要跟不上发展的步伐了。

When I return to my hometown on holidays, I will be very excited, because

it is the place that I love so much. The trees are so green and the sky is so

blue. When I play on the river side, I can catch fish. I grow up there and have

a happy time with my dear friends. I will never forget the beautiful scenery

there.

我曾听爷爷讲起过他们过去的生活情形。我像听神话一样，简直不敢相信他所描述的一切。自从爷爷提出改革开放政策以来，我国的经济得到了突飞猛进的发展，人们的生活有了翻天覆地的变化。

以前，人们吃不饱，穿不暖。人们天不亮就起床，每天面朝黄土背朝天在地里干活，却无法改变饥寒交迫的命运。有多少人冻死、饿死。可如今，单单就老年人来说，他们每天不仅享受着儿女们无微不至的照顾，而且回家还为他们提供各种生活补贴和娱乐场所。每天清晨或黄昏，他们成群结群队在公园里唱歌、跳舞，过着充实而又快乐的生活，年轻人的生活更是五彩缤纷，幸福甜蜜。如今，我们使用的高科技的玩具真叫五花八门，眼花缭乱。比如电脑、自行车、滑板，溜冰鞋等等，数不胜数。小型玩具那就更多了，家里到处可见，随手可拿。

以前，人们衣衫褴褛，打着补丁，根本没有洗的衣服。而如今，人们一个个都穿得华贵得体，潇洒漂亮。我妈妈每次给我买衣服，总是一套套抱回家的。

乡村、街道、建筑全都变了。以前的乡村，到处都是泥泞不堪的小路，现在全是焕然一新的宽阔平坦的水泥路，以前老土的吊脚楼变成了小洋房。街道上歪七倒八的低矮的瓦房换成了整齐的金碧辉煌的高楼大厦；以前昏暗的煤油灯变成了明亮的节能灯；以前的人力车变成了小轿车……

我爸爸小的时候，每天上学要走三十多里路，一不小心，就会踩到稀泥里。学校建筑全是泥瓦房，只有一层楼，教室的地面也是坑坑洼洼的，连书桌都放不稳，要用石头塞。而如今呢，我们坐在宽敞明亮的的教室里，油光滑亮的书桌还可以上锁，电视、电脑设备齐全，课本是精装彩本，连用的笔都是水晶的。

啊！一切都变了！

我们生活在幸福的蜜罐里，我们被保护在花园里，我的生活充满朝气与阳光，我们的祖国在发展，在变化，在腾飞！
