今年暑假，我来到首都北京游玩。第二天就来到了世界最长的古代防御工程——万里长城的脚下。

仰望长城，仿佛一条巨龙盘绕在我国北方。古代没有车，也没有起重机，这高大而雄伟的长城是靠人将石砖抬上山岭筑成的，真是古代人民智慧的结晶!

我们顺着拥挤的人群向上爬。这里台阶很高。旁边的围墙上保存着古代的瞭望口和射口。我想：说不定这还进行过一次激烈的战争呢!

我们上了第一个烽火台。站在上面向下望，人只不过有蚂蚁大一点，树林汇成了绿色的海洋。爸爸对我说：“烽火台可是古代传递信息的重要工具呢!”

我们继续想长城顶端爬去。这里很陡有五六十度左右。豆大的汗珠顺着我的脸颊流下来。许多人都知难而退，爬到一半就退了下来。我们却一直坚持坚持在坚持……我想到许多古代名人的故事，就一鼓作气冲上了顶峰。来到了顶峰，看到了比下面好几倍的风景。我一回头望见了题词：不到长城非好汉。

今天，我爬到了峰顶，看到了最美的风景，也做了一回好汉!
