几亿年前，地球归动物所拥有的时候植物繁茂，到处生机勃勃，充满了绿色，但是，智商远远高出其他动物的人类出现后，植物像被施了魔法一样的急剧减少。那是因为，人类为了建造房屋，砍伐树木所造成的。有的是因为商业需要，大批大批的砍伐树林留出空地，用来建造大楼。正因为许多人擅自砍伐树林和树木，所以大自然被破坏。

砍伐树木的坏处很多。大家都知道树木可以循环二氧化碳，如果大量砍伐树木，树木的数量就会急剧减少，我们呼出的二氧化碳无法得到循环。茂密的树木可以阻挡沙尘暴，前两年北京遭遇沙尘暴，整个城市被沙子所笼罩这也是因为缺少树木的保护所造成的。

树是地球的肺，我希望每个人都能保护树林、保护树木，让都市的生活添一分绿色!保护树木就是保护地球就是保护我们人类!

但是对于我们大家来说，植树节的意义并不仅仅是种一棵树那么简单。植树节向我们表达的意义不仅是要多种植树木，而是要培养我们广大市民爱护自然、低碳生活的一种理念。

今天3月12日是一年一度的植树节，也是一个天气晴朗，万里无云，春风拂面的好日子。

我们同学一大早来到学校，等着7点50分的“我为学校添新绿”活动的开幕式。不久随着运动员进行曲的响起，我们排着队来到塑胶操场，沈老师先叫各班派一个同学上国旗台讲讲对这次植树节的感受。

一年级同学的讲话令我非常的震憾，一(1)班同学讲完了，一(2)班如果我没听错的话，有一个同学竟捐了430元，太令我惊讶了。二年级和三年级的感受谈得非常好，而且声音也很洪亮，真出乎我的意料了。四年级我自己想是我们班的张芳瑜谈得最好了，她说“希望我们的校园变得越来越美丽”……

当《爱的奉献》这优美的旋律响起的时候，我们的心也跟着沸腾起来，最后，我们把同学捐得钱投入了箱子里。四年级段，四(1)班捐了500多，四(2)班捐了300多，四(3)和四(4)班各捐了700多。唉，我们班这样捐出去太丢脸了，我恨不得让我们全班重捐一次，青青校园可是我们每个人的乐园呀!

时间过得真快，开幕仪式就这样结束了，今后让我们大家一起爱护绿化，共创美丽新校园。

It‘s been a long time since I‘ve done something positive to the environment. Feeling breezy and light-hearted, we came to the foot of the hill and selected a place that looked suitable and settled down. We spent a few hours digging holes and placing the young seedlings.
