our class at that time. He is good at study and playing basketball, while bad at

I like reading very much because reading is the ladder of human progress.

What’s more, reading brings us not only endless fun but also opportunities.

There are many available books for us to choose from, like history books,

science books, literary books and so no. But what interests me most in history

books---over the long course of history, the Chinese nation has witnessed

changes of dynasties, transfers of governments, and foreign powers in modern

history. This makes me realize the great responsibility of the development of

the motherland. Therefore, we should study hard for the rise of the Chinese.

I sincerely hope that everyone can absorb more nutrients and cultivate a

more noble character through reading.

When it comes to haze, I believe many people hate it to the bone and sigh

when talking about it. No, just a few sunny days, Monday morning gave us a big

"surprise".

In the morning, as soon as I stepped out of the door, I was stunned by the

scene in front of me: the sky seemed to be covered by a gray cloth, and the

pedestrians, roadside plants and cars on the road were also dyed gray.

Everything is covered with a layer of ash. Walking on the street, the visibility

is less than 100 meters. Under the influence of haze, the original clear scene

becomes extremely blurred. Even the bright colors of the traffic lights seem to

be in a trance.

At school, the situation has not changed, and low temperature is of no use.

The red flag is flying in the middle of the air. The soft and beautiful

movements are slightly slow due to the influence of the dust around. Because in

haze days, many small particles will be inhaled, and the oxygen content in the

air will be reduced, which is not suitable for sports, so the physical education

class in the morning has also been cancelled. I dont know if I should be happy

or worried.

我的家乡有一个别称，叫荷城。荷城自古以来遍种荷花，从前听闻总漫不经心，时至今日，才领略到荷城的别样美。那是一个燥热的夏夜，我在床上翻来覆去睡不着，窗外此起彼伏的蛙鸣声更增添了几分躁意。索性下了床，漫步在田野的小径上。此时已是夜半时分，周围几家屋子都黑漆漆的，显然主人已经熟睡。月亮半掩未掩的躲在云层后面，偷偷的看着底下的人。 My hometown has a nickname, called Hecheng.He has planted lotus since ancient times. 小径的路借着月光勉强看的清，脚下一顿，往亭子的方向走去。曲曲折折的小径，走起来却也花费了一番时间。待见到那亭子时，身上已出了一身薄汗。那亭子有一点年头了，据说爷爷时代就已经有了，现在坐在这里，更感觉到亭子的幽静古朴。

亭子外是一片荷塘，早先路过时太阳正烈，这一池子的荷被晒的都焉了，今晚却在月光底下缓缓的舒展着。晚风吹过来，鼻尖闻到一股馨香，淡淡的，是荷花的香味。周围依然还有蛙鸣声，但在这荷的旁边，却感觉也不怎么烦躁了。在这幽静的环境下，人的心也跟着静下来了。

此情此景，忽然想起朱自清先生的荷塘月色。先生是这样描述他眼里的荷的：曲曲折折的荷塘上面，弥望的是田田的叶子。叶子出水很高，像亭亭的舞女的裙。层层的叶子中间，零星地点缀着些白花，有袅娜地开着的，有羞涩地打着朵儿的;正如一粒粒的明珠，又如碧天里的星星，又如刚出浴的美人。我没有先生的才情，感受却在这个时候意外的重叠了。

望着这一池子的荷，仿佛置身于荷的怀抱，空气里淡淡的馨香，却让我有点醉了。今夜的荷给我如此大的感受，是我意想不到的。周敦颐笔下的荷，是出淤泥而不染，濯清涟而不妖;杨万里眼里的荷，是接天莲叶无穷碧，映日荷花别样红。我心里的荷，是干净的，是馨香的，是可以洗涤心中的尘杂的。

我不知道我是何时回去的，那夜的荷给我的感觉又飘渺起来了。如梦如幻，但心头始终带着一份荷韵，经久不息。我爱荷城，也爱这荷城下的遍地荷花。
