“wealth”, and “longevity”. On the Eve of Chinese New Year, supper is a feast

with families. Food will include such items as pigs, ducks, chicken and sweet

delicacies. The family will end the night with firecrackers. Early the next

morning, children will greet their parents by wishing them a healthy and happy

new year, and receive money in red paper envelopes. The Chinese New Year

tradition is a great way to reconcile forgetting all grudges, and sincerely wish

peace and happiness for everyone.

Every one has a different personality. I have an optimistic personality and

I always do everything happily. But not every one finds this easy. When I meet

people like this, I usually advise them to see the school councilor. There are

reasons why everyones personality is so different. If your parents love you and

care about you, then your personality will be healthy and happy. If your parents

dont, then your personality could sad and withdrawn. A persons personality

determines his or her future. So if you come across someone who is often

worried, you can try and help them or tell them to seek help from a

councilor.

Last week， my friend asked me to go to visit his hometown with him。 I felt

so excited and wanted to have a look at the scenery。 My parents allowed and I

planned to play for a week。 I felt so free to leave home and could do what I

wanted。 I picked up the fruits and caught the fish in the clear river。 It was

such fun for me。 But when I saw my friend talked happily to his grandparents， I

felt a little lost。 I started to miss my parents。 I missed the food my mother

cooked and the way she complained。 So when I got home， I was very happy and grew

up。

Thank you for your last letter asking about our library. Our library locates between the teaching building and our garden. The shape of it seems to be a book to welcome our students. it’s open from Monday to Friday ,and we can borrow the books from 9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.

There are many books available in our library ,dealing with almost every subject. Not only the books, but also the magazines can be read here. You may borrow up to five books at a time, and keep them for at most ten days.

现在，一个人在偌大的房子里面，周围电脑、电视，各种高科技产品一应俱全，但总是会觉得空虚。才发现，自己内心里最最怀念的还是和奶奶一起住在老房子里的日子。

奶奶去世后，我便再没有去过那所老房子。现在想来，已经有四年那么久了。心下想念，还是决定回去看看。

老房子还是老样子，只是显得更陈旧了，更苍老了，像是历经沧桑、风烛残年的老人，在等待着她远归的儿女。院门上结了薄薄的蛛网，轻轻一推，扑面而来的是淡淡的积压多年的灰尘气息。院子里有一棵高大的枣树，树底下的小板凳还在，一大一小，唯一不同的是上面已经落了一层积灰。我轻轻拭净了灰尘，坐在枣树下。这时正当夏季，树枝上缀了些淡黄色的小花。

奶奶总是喜欢在树下，摇着蒲扇，给我讲故事。她微微眯着眼睛，脸上的皱纹攒到一起，仿佛和她讲的故事有一样久远的存在。我也学她眯着双眼，只觉得眼前的世界渐渐朦胧，耳畔奶奶的故事声也渐渐模糊，不知不觉就睡着在奶奶的怀里。直到被小鸟欢快的叫声惊醒，发现奶奶依然笑眯眯的看着远方，又好像了远方，看向更深更远的地方。

我笑笑。看着在前面不远处啄食的小鸟，是否还是当初顽皮吵醒我的那一只？只觉得心被填满，像初夏的阳光一般温暖。

我站起来往屋内走去。门上挂着一把锁，隐隐还可以闻到铁锈的气息。钥匙在锁孔里扭转了好久，才勉强打开。屋子里一切都未曾改变，一如奶奶离开之前的样子。只是因太久无人来过，滋生了一丝潮湿的味道，这倒是记忆中不曾有过的。

外屋的桌子上摆了一个老式的收音机。奶奶无事时总喜欢坐在靠椅上，听上一段京戏。我曾经调皮的问她，放着好好的电视不看，干吗非要听这破旧的收音机。奶奶不恼，也不回答我，只是笑笑。现在想来，也许就像是现在的我这般吧，越是陈旧的，才越能唤回更为久远的记忆。可当时的我并不懂，只是渐渐的也习惯了。每天陪奶奶听上一段京戏，听奶奶唱上一段京戏。时间久了，我也总能哼出一些调调，“苏三离了洪桐县……”。

只是这台收音机现在已经发不出声音了，时隔多年，里面早已不知积压了多少灰尘，多少岁月的印记。
