我又见到了那使人心暖的笑容，可心中却多的是欣慰，她用布满老茧的双手擦拭着从眼角渗出来的眼泪，连忙拄起拐杖，可是一个踉跄栽倒在里地上，我赶忙跑去扶起了奶奶，只见她紧握住我的手，换着：“孙女来看我了哟……”

房间的陈设依旧如昔日一般，可却显得毫无生气，死寂一般的在各个角落摆放着。蜘蛛也在这安起了家，连那小小的火炉子，也没有了往日的炽热。我扶奶奶上了炕，我也坐了上去，看了看奶奶，我不禁叹息，这日的一切，都已不及往日。

奶奶就像个小孩一般，一直跟我聊天，有时说到这个，又扯到那个，让人哭笑不得，当她说到她种的菜时，我才想起了话：“现在还有？”在以前，婶婶就忙着将地里的白菜挑，用自己的巧手腌制一缸上好的冬菜，等到放寒假亲戚朋友从外地赶回来时，每人赠上一碟，也算是心意了。而现在，村里的年轻人都去了大城市里打拼，都认为进城才是好出路，没有人愿意呆在这个小小的村庄，只留一些老人独守老房。

Animals are our good friends. People should be friendly to them. But now, many people in China as well as in the world kill animals in order to get money. Its well known that there are many kinds of rare animals in China, such as pandas, golden monkeys and so on. Some people catch or kill them. They use their furs and skins to make clothes and shoes or eat their meat. As a result, a lot of rare animals have disappeared.

What a pity!

At present, our government have made some plans to punish these people. Recently, some nature parks have been built. Lots of money collected for protecting them. For example, some students put on perfom ances or have other kinds of activities to collect money for rare animals.

The year of 2008 is getting closer and closer to us. We need to take actions from now on to prepare for the game. What we need to do most is to work on our disadvantages and shortcomings. As a student of Senior high, I can do my own part. Let me take the environment for example, the atmosphere around Beijing is quite disappointing, factories and cars keep giving off exhausts into the air, we can hardly see the blue sky with our naked eyes, because the sky is covered with a thick layer of harmful substances. The sky is gray instead of blue. To our delight, the government has passed some laws of protecting the air, and we can do something useful, too. For example, whenever we go out for a long distance, ride the bike or take the buses and subways instead of taxis. You may not have a clue how it works. Of course doing that only by one person is far from enough, but we can let more people do that together. In that case the result may be more than we bargained for.

Another thing we need to work on is our English skills. Teachers and parents often put great emphasis on our English skills especially listening and speaking. I want to be a volunteer in 2008, to be an interpreter. For now, I must do something helpful to improve my spoken English. Rome isn’t build in a day, so is English. It can’t be improved in a day or two. It takes time and energy. There are no shortcuts to improve your spoken English; the most productive way is to grab all opportunities around you to open your mouth. For instance, taking part in all kinds of English contests is a good way, you can meet some excellent contestants, and you can share the experience of learning and some good method of learning. I will keep participating in all English activities to polish up my English. I’m sure by the year of 2008, I will be able to master English well just as my mother tongue.

今年，爷爷奶奶带我去乡下探亲。

我们下了车，来到幺爷爷家。一座大大的木房子坐落在其间，周围围着篱笆，一朵朵五颜六色的牵牛花绕着篱笆竟相开放，煞是好看。木房子盖着一块块的瓦。有两层楼，这种房子在城市里根本没有，所以我感觉很新奇。

跨过台阶，踩在陈旧的用木板做成的地板，舒舒服服地坐在用青竹做成的靠椅上。从上面的痕迹上来看，一定有许多年了，听说我们叫客厅的地方乡下都叫堂屋，堂屋的正上方是一副毛主席像，下面是三来米长的用青竹做成的电视柜，做工可精巧了，根本看不出这竟是老家具，真有点新鲜！堂屋正中间摆放着茶几，也是竹子做的，堂屋的左右两面墙贴着几幅古画，大门两旁还摆着几盆天株葵。堂屋里的家具全是竹子做，真像是置身于竹的世界一样。听爷爷说这可是有上百年历史的老房子呢！难怪这座房子看起来怎么那么老。

堂屋右边是厨房，在向阳的窗户边置放着炒菜的用具品，放在大约三四米长的灶台上，在窗户边还能看见乡间美景呢！不过，墙壁上有的地方都已经熏黑了，正中间是两张大大的陈年木桌子，竹椅子整整齐齐地摆放着。旁边是竹碗柜，听说青竹子能去除臭味、消毒杀菌，碗柜用竹子做最好不过了。

我们穿过厨房，扶着扶手，踏在木楼梯上。楼梯的扶手表面刻着稀奇古怪的图案，有的已经被磨掉了，可吸引人呢！来到二楼，站在栏杆旁，向远处一望，乡间美景全被我收尽眼底。二楼是书房和几间卧室，书房。书房的门上也刻着图案，是一条活生生的龙的图案，这不正是“中华龙”吗？我进了书房，两旁摆放着木书柜，各种各样的书籍，整齐的摆放着。中间桌椅上的漆都褪色了，一定有很多年历史了。我打开书柜，哇噻！书可真多，我最喜爱的《童年》也有，大多数都是很多年前的书籍，有的都是一百多年前的了，十分具有收藏价值。没想到在乡下也能看到这么多的书，而且还是“陈年古书”呢！时间不早了，我和爷爷、奶奶要离开幺爷爷家。虽然乡下没城市生活丰富多彩，但是乡下的老房子却很吸引我，因为这里有城市所看不到的东西！

一个身处繁华都市的孩子，从小长到大，我从未接触过真正意义的自然，对我来说，也许最远不过是郊区山林中与自然接触的短暂时光，而最深却是居住在姥姥家的老房子。

老房子，姥姥和姥爷已住了几近三十年，它不过只是万千普通居民楼中的一间。有些泛黄的墙壁，有些青苔的阶梯，注定，在岁月的流逝中，它渐渐老去。但又正是这不大的空间却恰好承载了我独属于童年的梦。

小时候，我住在姥姥家中，姥爷是爱花中人，在门前的小院中种下数十种花草，但我多半叫不上名字，只识得纯白色的茉莉之花与墙角处的点点蔷薇。那是，这儿给予我的，是仿佛置身于百草园的快乐。我常常站在小院之中，仰望天空，四面鳞次栉比的高楼将这儿团团围住，只留得头顶上的一片天蓝。繁华都市中也有这样一片被时光遗忘的空白，那繁华深处，时光静好。

黄昏之时，落日衔山，姥姥在厨房中忙碌着，空气中弥漫着饭菜的香气和花草的馥郁，夕阳将它最后一缕阳光洒向老房子，伴随清风，老房子慢慢睡去，做着甜美的梦，梦里有它的回忆。

那时的生活，那样简单，那么美好。

When asked about their opinion of career and family, people always respond differently. Some people deem it more important to pursue their career, while there are always other people who argue that family should be the number one in one’s life.

It goes without any question that career plays a key role in our life. In the very first place, career can give us an aim to live on. Without career, much of our living time will be certainly wasted. What’s more, career can provide us with a means to live on. Most of the people earn their income from a job. Since I was very small, my parents often took me to the animal zoo. I have

seen many animals and opened my vision. But as I grew up, I started to realize

that it was not reasonable to keep the animals in the zoo. They belong to the

nature and should live in the forest. But it is human nature that capture them

and then keep them in the zoo for earning money. Nowadays, animal park is

advised to be built. It can protect the animals in the nature, at the same time,

people can see the animals. It is better than the old zoo. Animals and human are

My new friend Jack is a fashion follower who often wears strange clothes and long hair. But my mother drove him away from our flat at the first sight yesterday. She thought he was a bad person, although she didnt know him at all.

However, mom totally changed her mind this morning. When we were walking down the street near our home, we witnessed an accident. A boy was hit by a car when he was walking across the road with headphones. Many people saw it, but at first no one knew how to help. Then someone rushed forwards and covered the boy with his coat to keep warm. He looked after him well until the ambulance came. It was Jack! His calmness and seasoned first aid skills moved mom. She went and apolpgized to Jack for her former attitute, and told him that he was always welcome to our home.

That gives me a lesson. The appearance may reflect ones interest, but it isnt the symbol of ones quality. We should never judge a book with its cover.

helpful to us Chinese. But these days the Yangtze River is bringing us serious

floods.

Many villages were destroyed by floods. The floods made hundreds of

millions of people lose their homes, relatives and friends. Many children can t

go to school as usual .Now the foods have drawn the attention of the whole

world. People from abroad have offered their help too. In China, millions of

soldiers are busy fighting against the floods. They are working very hard. Many

of them have lost their lives in their attempt to save the villagers.

Though we can t help them to fight against floods, we should help them to

rebuild their homeland. We can present them our pocketmoney and clothes. I

believe most of the people will return to their homeland in the near future.

第二天，我们再次来到院落前。院门虚掩着，我们轻轻的敲了敲门，出来了一个老奶奶，我们说明来意后，老人家迎我们进去。

走进小院，我发现，这院落的格局有些类似四合院——进了大门是外院，栽种着花花草草；主人居住的地方在内院，还需再过一道门，内院两侧是厢房，大厅正对着第二道门。我绕着内院转。和老家祖屋很像——在梁上檐下这些小角落，有一些很是精致的雕刻。父亲则是绕着整个房子转悠。他在第一道门口，看到一幅残缺不堪的壁画，隐约可见是一株兰花，和老家祖屋门前的一样。老人家惋惜地说：“这壁画原本十分精致漂亮，色彩也很鲜亮，却在‘文革’时期被破坏了。”

老人家沏了茶，和我们聊她所知道关于这个房子的故事。不知不觉，一个下午就过去了。她说，她所知道的并不算多，这些都是她的丈夫告诉她的，可惜他已经去世。我们对从老人家口中得到的故事已经很满足了，在向她道谢后就离开了。

老家的这幢房子不知道建多少年了。

白墙黑瓦，这是乡下房子最显明的特点，我们家的也不例外。由于常年无人居住，房子内饰简陋不堪，但这里曾是我的乐园。

小时候，我常在房子里窜来窜去，寻找各种有趣的玩意儿。三楼的阁楼上放着一些杂七杂八的东西，那是我最喜欢的地方。一本小人书、一双旧筷子、一块雕花的小木板或者一个锈迹斑斑胡的小铁盒，每发现一样新玩意儿我都兴奋不已。这幢老房子就像魔术师，总能给我带来惊喜。

记得有一次，我找到一个破旧的玻璃瓶，瓶身上到处是裂纹，隐隐约约能看到“漂流”两个字。我下楼把瓶子递给了妈妈，她露出了惊讶的表情，随后陷入了回忆中，“这是我上初中时在河边捡到的漂流瓶，你可以把愿望写在小纸片上装进瓶子里，这样就会灵验。”当时我深信不疑，把藏在心底的梦认真地写在小纸条上，塞进瓶子里，把瓶子放回了楼上。梦的种子就在那个时悄然发芽，而老房子是唯一的见证者。

有时候玩累了，我便坐在门口的台阶上，望着屋前流淌着的小溪，听着鸡犬互鸣，燕子衔枝垒巢，手上还会无心的抚弄着从墙缝里迸发出的小生命，夕阳撒遍全身，一种说不出来的惬意油然而生。

节日的晚上，亲戚们齐聚在老房子里，大摆宴席。大人们互相敬酒，在院子里点燃篝火，小伙伴们玩起小鞭炮。有些人诉说着一年来的收获，有些人说着来年的梦想，有些人对着篝火沉思，而我们嬉嬉闹闹听着看着，心思又飞向屋子后面的竹林子，似乎只有老房子记住我们的话。现在我也常会想起亲人们红通通的脸庞。

随着年龄的增大，科技的发展，我似乎不太再眷恋老房子了。直到去年过年听到拆迁的消息，我才恍然若失，这幢曾经带给我多少欢乐，见证我多少次成长的老房子要离我而去了。我找到了一张与它的合影，望着当时愉快的脸庞不禁露出一丝笑意，圈圈涟漪在我心头荡漾。

每年的农历八月十五，是我国的四大传统节日———中秋节。这一天，一家人要聚在一起吃月饼、赏圆月。今年的中秋节对我们家来说还有一个特殊的意义———这天正好是我爸爸的生日。
