As a chinese, I was really ashamed of having a little knowledge of dragon boat festival. Perhaps I was born in northern city, though my city is nearby sea, it has been built a U port which I can only see cargo ships and can’t see the sweeping ocean. So I have never see the dragon boat contest since I was born. So the dragon boat festival is just a holiday for eating “Zong Zi”. My mother made Zong Zi when I was a child. Because there was no supermarket, we couldn’t buy finished product from market. However, now, we can buy anything in supermarket, so my mother didn’t make them anymore. The boat festival began to fade out my mind.

In reality, young people began to have a bug to celebrate foreign festivals, such as Christams, Saint Valentine’s day, April Fool’s Day, some people also celebrate Easter in church. Talk about Dragon boat festival, it’s the same as some foreign conventional festivals, such as Witch’s Day in Czech. People burned the witch’s puppet so as to welcome spring. People who lived in Xiamen are able to visit Xiapu or Wu Yi mountain, these tourist attractions are in Fujian province,which is suit a short tirp. but I’d like to stay at home for my decorate painting. I decide to draw two canvases about Christmas, it’s really a big project. Then I’ll hang them on the new house wall. I must start it now, or I can’t finish them before Christmas eve. the second legend has it that during the yuan dynasty，an underground group led by zhu yuan zang was determined to rid the country of mongolian dominance. the moon cake was created to carry a secret message. when the cake was opened and the message read，an uprising was unleashed which successfully routed the mongolians. it happened at the time of the full moon，which，some say，explains why mooncakes are eaten at this time. mooncakes are usually stamped with chinese characters indicating the name of the **ry and the type of filling used. some **ries will even stamp them with your family name so that you can give personalised ones to friends and family. they are usually presented in boxes of four which indicate the four phases of the moon. traditional mooncakes are made with melted lard，but today vegetable oil is more often used in the interests of health. mooncakes are not for the diet-conscious as they are loaded with calories. the best way to wash down one of these sticky cakes is with a cup of chinese tea，especially jasmine or chrysanthemum tea，which aids the digestion.

Since I went to school, I spent a lot of time in study. My classmates and

teachers are just like my families. We almost meet each other every day. My

teachers help me a lot. When I meet problems in study, they are very patient and

help me to figure out the answers. When I have trouble in getting along with

other students, they will talk to me and comfort me. I am so thankful to them,

I am studying in a middle school now, it is my second year. If you ask me

what my occupation is, I will answer you that my occupation is student. I have

studied for many years, many students don’t like being a student, but I am not

of them, I enjoy being a student. For me, I don’t have to worry about the money

issue, I can go to play with my friends, the most important thing is, I like

reading all kinds of books. I especially like to read the books about travel. I

three tall buildings in our school. They all have five floors. In the teaching

fourth floor. My class room is on the fifth floor. I am in Class9， Grade 6.

There are five gardens in our school. In the gardens there are many beautiful

flowers， grass and trees. There is a big playground in my school.

I like my school， because my school is very beautiful.

Last March, my mother told my father and me that my grandfather would come

in April. We were very happy because my grandfather was an interesting old man

and he had not visited us since he went to Hong Kong.

On April 1 my father and I bought a lot of food from the supermarket and

bought a big bunch of flowers home. Then we did some cleaning at home. At night

when we were waiting for my grandfather, the bell rang and in came my mother.
