[高考处世思方圆满分作文

在新概念三册中，对比论证的方法反复被运用到，至少出现了五次，分别在篇章L12，L23，L38，L41 和L54的第一段出现。如果对这五篇文章中的对比论证段落仔细研读，会发现这些段落有着几乎完全一样的结构，有规律可循，所以对比论证方法应该是三册学习中不可忽略的一个部分。

这里我们就拿第12课为例。对比论证出现在了第一段。作者在第一段开门见山提出了论点：Most of us have formed an unrealistic picture of life on a desert island（我们许多人对于荒岛生活有一种不切实际的想法）。之后作者讲了两种截然相反的想法：一种想法是imagine it to be a sort of paradise（认为荒岛是天堂）；另一种想法是Life on a desert island is wretched（荒岛生活很可怕）。最后一句话是个总结句。作者正是通过两种呈对比的想法来论证“人们对荒岛生活有不切实际的想法”这一观点。需要读者关注的是，在两种成对立的想法之间作者用了一句非常漂亮的过渡句：The other side of the picture is quite the opposite. （另一种想法恰恰相反）。于是，一个结构清晰严谨、论述有理有力的段落跃然纸上。

读罢上述五篇文章的第一段，不难发现它们都是由两种相反的观点组成，而在相反的观点中间，作者都运用过渡句，这里对对比论证的过度表达稍作总结：

了解了对比论证之后，我们不妨思考下如何运用这种手法，毕竟学以致用才是我们的最终目的。如果针对当前的英语高考作文题，我们完全可以让它在我们的考场上发挥作用。这里以上海2004年和2005年的英语高考作文题为例，看看这一新概念三册中反复出现的手法如何作为应试技巧运用到考试中。

2005上海英语高考作文题：

古人云：“天生我材必有用”(There must be a use for my talent.)。通过描述你生活中的一件事，说明人各有所长，无论才能大小都能成为有用的人。

写作文首先要做的是审题，这个题目要求你在写文章时做到两点：你的观点是支持“天生我才必有用”；用你生活事例论证。如何引出自己的观点呢？我们可以运用对比手法，可以先就题中话题先找到两个对立观点，然后再抛出自己的观点。值得一提的是，考官在批阅一片作文时首先会注意考生是否偏题。那我们如何避免偏题呢？一个很好的方法就是在开头就告诉改卷老师你扣题了。比如笔者写下如下一段作为作文首段：

People have formed an unrealistic picture of their talents. Some imagine themselves to be unconquerably intelligent. On the opposite, others tend to consider themselves a drop in the ocean, powerless and useless. There is an element of truth in both ideas, but I am convinced that there must be a use to out talent, as it can be proved by my own experience.

先写人们对自己的天赋形成了不切实际的看法，然后写两种极端的看法：一种是认为自己绝顶聪明，另一种是自己如沧海一粟，微小无用。在这两个相反的观点之间有了on the opposite来过渡。这正是运用了对比论证的手法，但是别忘了上述的两点考题要求。在列举了两种相反的观点之后就可以抛出自己的观点：I am convinced that there must be a use to out talent.而后自然用过一个as it can be proved by my own experience的句子过渡到以下的事例对这一观点进行论证。如此一写，完全不用担心是否扣题的问题，因为在这一文章首段告诉了考官自己的观点，并且通过一个过渡句说明下文内容是起到论证作用的事例。当然不要忘记这里是通过对比的手法来引出自己的观点的。

上述高考题属于比较严肃的话题，如果遇到的话题涉及生活事件呢？下面再列举另一种风格的高考作文题。

2004上海英语高考作文题

老师要求你负责班级墙报(wall newspaper)工作并征求你的意见。在日记中表述你的决定并谈谈想法。

我们首先还是要捉摸清楚考题的要点：你的决心；你的想法。负责班级墙报貌似是个小话题，但是我们完全可以运用上对比论证的手法。比如在写自己的决心时，不妨先写一般人对这样一个老师指派的任务是何种态度，而后引出自己的决心。而在写一般人的态度时完全可以用上对比的手法。比如笔者写下如下一段作为作文首段：

People show different attitude when appointed to be in charge of wall newspaper. Those who regard the task as a great burden would decline it while those who long to serve their fellow students would accept it with great pleasure. As for me, it is a golden opportunity to practice myself, so when the challenge comes, I will accept it.

可以先用一句话总起人们会有不同的态度，而后写两个呈对比的观点：一种是认为这是个负担因而拒绝承担；另一种是渴望为民服务因而欣然接受。中间运用的过度是while，这样可以将呈对比的做法浓缩在一个句子里，句子结构的复杂性提升。然后通过as for me来表达自己的态度，也就是我的部分决心。

当然，不要忽略作文题中的另一个非常重要的要求，即该作文是以日记形式出现，所以不妨将将这一比较正式的段落放在文中而非文首。

这里暂以两个高考作文题为例，运用上新概念三册中的对比论证手法，希望可以给大家一些启发，帮助大家真正地将这一结构手法活学活用。

高考作文回到班级眼镜上了霜，突然感觉眼前一片模糊很迷茫的感觉;今天的收获真大，如果大家都不乱丢东西，人人都能这样，就不会环境那么差了。缺乏方向感的我佝偻于时间的尘埃之中。大家听了都笑了，当时听了这句话，我心里甜滋滋的，当我坐下来与他们一起吃时，才知道外公所说"山珍海味"的意思了，妈妈说："你今天的午餐做得还不错，但你炒的八道菜中有三道菜炒糊了，二道菜没有炒熟，另外还有二道菜太咸，另外，电饭锅里的水加得太多，饭快成粥了，唉，我忙碌了半天，也累了半天，结果却是这样的，我已开始体会到了当家的不容易；

凌晨的夜很安静，这是我很早就知道的，可我还是又重复了一遍。高考后的夜如此安静又凄凉，这是一辈子不愿有两次的感受。我不知道可不可以用凄凉来形容这明净的夜。

高考让我失掉了灵魂。在稿纸上写下这句话的时候，我的心莫名其妙的疼了起来，可能我找不到好的理由解释这锥心的痛。

似孩子丢失了心爱的玩具。

如此，这样。

这是安妮的话，我无意套用，也明白这四个字涵盖不了所有的痛。

过了这个6月让我做回自己。高考已经结束，只是我找不到来时的路。前路渺茫，我好象被丢在了一个空旷的沙漠中，窒息的感觉纠缠着我。

高考后的鸟儿，是的，我是这么说的。可是，断了翅膀的鸟儿如何回家，如何幸福。突然很害怕看自己写的文字，血淋淋的身躯是我曾一度抛弃过的，他们说为了高考你要放弃应试以外的文字，而我真的傻到放弃心爱的文字，将身体的一部分硬生生的割裂了。我不知道我是否感到疼了，只是眼泪落了下来，温热的泪，我知道这是我的心在滴血。可是现在的我还拥有什么？算了，我已无力追问。

我坚持了1009天的高中生活，最后决定命运的只是9个小时，很悲哀的感觉。一直知道"一寸光阴一寸金"，可没想到高考的1个小时需要我花费112天来充实，好贵的高考时间，是不是就是所谓的黄金时段。

"翅膀硬了的鸟儿要飞，这决不是背叛。我记得谁这么说过。

这个季节的风看起来很温和，当你在外被它亲吻时，就明白透过纷飞的发丝看世界并不这么完美，凌乱的舞步只能存在于青春的舞台，温柔的幸福产生于安静的国度。

我是一只高考后的鸟儿，看着打开的牢笼产生了后怕心理。年轻的心急欲飞翔，并未丰满的翅膀绑着绷带向空中探望。

"90年的孩子，有着骨子里的孤独感与不屑一顾。"我在博客中这么说。好吧，既然这样，那就飞吧。要么坠落山谷，要么拥抱蓝天。

闭上双眼，未来一片漆黑；敞开心扉，我的未来不是梦。

Dragon Boat Festival is the traditional day in China, it is on the 5th day

of the 5th lunar month. The common activity for different places are dragon boat

competition and eating zongzi. In my hometown, there will be the dragon boat

competition every year. A lot of teams join this activity and there are full of

audiences stand on the river side, wathing and yelling for the teams. It is one

fo the biggest matches in my hometown. What’ more, making zongzi is also the

tradition. My mother makes the zongzi at this time every year, she told me that

she learned it from my grandma and she would teach me in the future.

observe a child; any one will do. you will see that not a day passes in which he does not find something or other to make him happy, though he may be in tears the net moment. then look at a man; any one of us will do. you will notice that weeks and months can pass in which day is greeted with nothing more than resignation1, and endure with every polite indifference. indeed, most men are as miserable as sinners, though they are too bored to sin-perhaps their sin is their indifference2. but it is true that they so seldom smile that when they do we do not recognize their face, so distorted is it from the fied mask we take for granted3. and even then a man can not smile like a child, for a child smiles with his eyes, whereas a man smiles with his lips alone. it is not a smile; but a grin; something to do with humor4, but little to do with happiness. and then, as anyone can see, there is a point (but who can define that point?) when a man becomes an old man, and then he will smile again.

it would seem that happiness is something to do with simplicity, and that it is the ability to etract pleasure form the simplest things-such as a peach stone, for instance.it is obvious that it is nothing to do with success. for sir henry stewart was certainly successful. it is twenty years ago since he came down to our village from london, and bought a couple of old cottages, which he had knocked into one. he used his house a s weekend refuge5. he was a barrister. and the village followed his brilliant career with something almost amounting to paternal pride.i remember some ten years ago when he was made a kings counsel6, amos and i, seeing him get off the london train, went to congratulate him. we grinned with pleasure; he merely looked as miserable as though hed received a penal sentence. it was the same when he was knighted; he never smiled a bit, he didnt even bother to celebrate with a round of drinks at the "blue fo"7. he took his success as a child does his medicine. and not one of his achievements brought even a ghost of a smile to his tired eyes.

i asked him one day, soon after hed retired to potter about his garden,8 what is was like to achieve all ones ambitions. he looked down at his roses and went on watering them. then he said "the only value in achieving ones ambition is that you then realize that they are not worth achieving." quickly he moved the conversation on to a more practical level, and within a moment we were back to a safe discussion on the weather. that was two years ago.

i recall this incident, for yesterday, i was passing his house, and had drawn up my cart just outside his garden wall. i had pulled in from the road for no other reason than to let a bus pass me. as i set there filling my pipe, i suddenly heard a shout of sheer joy come from the other side of the wall.i peered over. there stood sir henry doing nothing less than a tribal war dance9 of sheer unashamed ecstasy. even when he observed my bewildered face staring over the wall he did not seem put out10 or embarrassed, but shouted for me to climb over.

"come and see, jan. look! i have done it at last! i have done it at last!"there he was, holding a small bo of earth in his had. i observed three tiny shoots out of it."and there were only three!" he said, his eyes laughing to heaven."three what?" i asked."peach stones", he replied. "ive always wanted to make peach stones grow, even since i was a child, when i used to take them home after a party, or as a man after a banquet. and i used to plant them, and then forgot where i planted them. but now at last i have done it, and, whats more, i had only three stones, and there you are, one, two, three shoots," he counted.

and sir henry ran off, calling for his wife to come and see his achievement-his achievement of simplicity.

小时候我曾听老师讲起过这个故事，当时同学们听后议论纷纷，但大多同学认为：船主太马虎了，要不是油漆工细心，顺手补掉这个漏洞，船主的孩子们就回不来了。所以，油漆工就是雷锋，并且和雷锋一样做好事不留名，应该得到嘉奖。

若干年之后，没想到在高考时再次看到这个故事，但这一次我的感悟是不同的，如果船主是一个负责任的管理者，船在油漆之前就应该按规定进行验收，而船主在没有对船体进行验收的情况下就允许对船体进行油漆并允许出航，显然，船主或其管理团队在执行规章制度上犯了严重错误。

再看油漆工在油漆时发现船体有漏洞，按理应该先向船主汇报，由船主安排有资质的人员对船体进行修补才是正确的做法。但油漆工不仅没有向船主汇报，而且在不具备资质的情况下擅自对船体进行修补，事后也没有向船主进行汇报，这是明显的越权行为，油漆工的做法按照质量管理及资质规定，不仅不应该对他进行任何奖励，而且应该对油漆工进行规章制度方面的教育培训才是！原因是，油漆工补好的漏洞不一定就符合质量标准，万一质量不过关，很可能在第二次出航或之后的出航过程中出现危险。

联想起最近被炒得轰轰烈烈的最美司机吴斌，吴斌在生命的最后一刻，他把汽车刹住了，并因此被炒作成劳动模范和革命烈士，大加褒奖，显然这与船主的做法有有异曲同工之妙。

其实，在吴斌将汽车刹住时，他并不知道自己内脏的损害程度，也不知道自己的生命会就此结束，他刹车的目的首先是为了自救，只不过自救行为的结果是：他并没有保住自己的生命，但却挽救了车上其他人的生命。这就象油漆工一样，他顺便补了个漏洞，但他并没有想到他的补漏行为会挽救船主孩子们的生命一样，事后通过船主才知道，他的顺便行为救了船主的孩子们，而吴斌则永远也不会知道他会因此成为革命烈士。

按照高速公路的行驶规定，大客车应该靠右行驶，严禁超车，更不应该占据超车道！

因此，吴斌的驾驶行为已经违反高速公路的行驶规定，就象油漆工没有资质就擅自进行补漏一样，万一修补质量不达标呢？那一样会在大海中沉没。反之，吴斌的违章行为也不是第一次，而这一次恰恰不幸遇难了，从中我们可以看出：任何违反规章制度的行为都可能给自己及他人造成隐患。

船主和漆工的故事给了我们这样的启示：作为管理者，我们首先应该遵守规章制度，并按照规章制度履行自己的监管职责。而作为行为人，我们同样也要按照严格的规章制度来规范自己的行为准则，我们不能因为做好事或者图省事就违章操作，对于违章操作者因为违章的行为而受到嘉奖则更不可取！

English is one of my best subjects and I started learning English when I

was ten years old.

But at the very beginning, listening seemed a little difficult for me. So I

have been doing a lot of listening practice, such as listening to tapes,

watching English TV programs. And I found it really helped a lot. In fact, there

are some more helpful ways to learn English well. For example, I enjoy singing

English songs and I want to join an English club or find a pen pal from

English-speaking countries.

I believe that nothing is impossible if you put your heart into it.

The college entrance exam is a big exam for students, they have learned so many years for the purpose of entering the college. For most person, they have the very deep impression about the big exam, it has changes so many people’s destinies. I had taken part in the exam, I remember it clearly, the situation just like happened yesterday.

I studied so hard, in those days that were nearing the exam, all the students focus their attention on the study, we fought together. The paper and the books were piled up our desks, when I entered the classroom, I hardly could see my classmates’ heads. Though it was the tough days for us, we felt happy, because we fought for our future, we believe what we do will bring us a promising future. These memories will linger on my mind forever.

阅读常被奉为一个民族的灵魂。有位作家说，人要读三大本书：一本是"有字之书"，一本是"无字之书"，一本是"心灵之书"。

这话说得确实精僻(辟)，当仍想为其添上一种层次：以"有字之书"为人之底，以"无字之书"为人之骨，以"心灵之书"为人之魂。

"有字之书"指世间客观存在的一切文字内容，也是人们狭义上阅读之物。杜拉斯曾说过"每一本书都是漫漫长夜"。夜晚用一本书来填满闲暇的时光，一方面夯实了知识基础，另一方面开拓了人的视野。培根也常强调"读史使人明智，读诗使人灵秀"。但若仅仅停留在阅读"有字之书"，便易陷入苦读成疾的泥潭。

"专读书也是有弊病的"，鲁迅鼓励人们使所学的知识活起来，这便是所谓的"无字之书"。

"无字之书"深深根植于生活这片包罗万象的土地上，经历百态人生也是另一种阅读。向生活寻求知识，学习为人处世的道理，为成为一个大写的人搭好身骨。这本大书中没有直接易得的文字总结，它更需要人活化地看待，留心生活中的细节，从中撷取成长所需的营养，做到经世致用。

读着这两本书，能拥有"谈笑有鸿儒"的展望，但真正贯穿人一生的更关键的是"心灵之书"。

"心灵之书"似乎更为玄妙，大家如齐白石也只能说成"要常有古人之微妙在心间"。我将这种微妙理解为一种自我意识，如果一个人永远是外在事物的反映，缺乏自我的内在焦点，那他仍是无用的。特别在物欲快速膨胀的当下，潜心读书的人都已消失殆尽，更不用提回归本心，发出"吾心便是宇宙，宇宙便是吾心"的深层自我反思!拥有向内探寻的自我意识，才能回答人何以为人的终极难题。而且每个人的心灵都脉动着不同人格的血液，借鉴他人确为一条捷径，但读懂自己内心更为重要。常读"心灵之书"，为自己注入独立之灵魂。

从另一方面来认知，"有字"与"无字"之书都是为了读透"心灵之书"服务。腹有诗书气自华也是对读通心灵才为终极目标的明证。他们是两条殊途同归的方式，"心灵之书"散落在世界的每一隅里。

阅读向着领悟"心灵之书"出发!为保有人鲜明生机的愿望，时刻铭记以读心为魂。

Film Is Giving Way to TV

There are fewer film-goers now than before. The number of TV-watchers has been increasing. In 1975, there were only 5,000 TV-watchers and in 1985, the number increased 20 times. The increase is due to the development of TV industry. With the development of economy, people are richer than before and many families can afford to buy color TV sets. People would prefer to stay at home to watch TV rather than go out to see a film.

Although film is giving way to TV, there are still some people who like watching films not only because good films are not shown on TV but because film has its own advantage.

This years observance of World No Tobacco Day focuses on "Gender and tobacco, with an emphasis on marketing to women".

Although fewer than 1 out of 10 women are smokers, that still adds up to an estimated 200 million women around the world. Moreover, that number could grow, since the tobacco industry is spending heavily on advertisements that target women and associate tobacco use with beauty and liberation.

Evidence indicates that the prevalence rate of tobacco use among women is on the rise in some countries. Governments everywhere must take action to protect women from tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship, as stipulated in the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control.

The Convention also calls on Governments to protect women from second-hand tobacco smoke -- especially in countries where women feel powerless to protect themselves and their children. As WHO data show, of the 430,000 adults who die each year from second-hand smoke, nearly two thirds are women.

Would My Father Have to Operate父亲得动手术吗

I was waiting for the doctor to finish his examination.I was worried and nervous.Would my father have to operate?Would a blood transfusion be necessary?What would he have to say?

Dr Lin was a heart expert.He was an excellent doctor and his examinations were always complete.He listened to the patients heart,took his blood pressure and temperature,gave him an X-ray and examined his eyes and ears.The doctor finall completed his examination and spoke to me.He told me that heart trouble is never a minor illness,but this wasnt a serious heart attack.He advised losing weight,getting plenty of sleep and eating good meals.Smoking and drinking would be harmful,of course.Dr Lin said it would be necessary to be careful for a while,but he was confident that there was nothing to worry about.

I felt much better after I spoke to Dr Lin.I was certain that my father would be up and around again very soon.Hes seventy five years old now,but he can still live for a long time if he takes good care of himself.
