妈妈因为工作忙，所以家里的饭都是由姥姥做，看到别人家的孩子吃着妈妈做的饭菜时的那股香甜劲，我想：什么时候若能吃上妈妈做的饭就好了。

机会终于来了。一天，姥姥带着弟弟到老姨家去了，家里只剩下妈妈、姥爷和我。因为没什么事，所以都坐在沙发上看电视，到了中午，姥姥还没有回来，而这时的我们早已是饥肠辘辘。看来，只能从我们三人中选出一个人做午饭了。首先，我被淘汰，因为我还太小，不会做饭。接下来姥爷也被踢出局，有妈妈在家，总不能让姥爷——一个大男人兼长辈来做饭吧？

最后，妈妈理所当然地被推选为做午饭的大厨。妈妈下厨房，我可是第一次看到，决不可错过欣赏的机会。只见妈妈系上围裙走进了厨房，嘿！看到去还真像个能干的家庭主妇。只见她几下就把菜切好了，我几乎没有听到切菜的声音。妈妈做事可真是干脆利落，我心里想。一会儿菜下锅了，和刚才一样，没有听到什么声音菜就做好了。再过一会儿，饭菜全都端上了饭桌，前后只用了十几分钟，可真是神速！

一声“开饭了——！”我们这些等待已久的“饥民”便迅速地坐到了饭桌旁边。只见桌上的菜漂亮极了，有绿绿的豆角，黄灿灿的土豆。那鲜绿的豆角配上红色的肉块，如果从色彩搭配上来讲，真是无可挑剔，再配上黄色的土豆块，色彩丰富极了。从造型上来讲，也是合理之至：细长的豆角，方形的肉块，圆形的土豆（那土豆几乎跟没切似的），很富有变化。

我夹起一块土豆送到嘴里，“哇！好脆！”我不由地喊。再一品，怎么是生的！我又夹了一根豆角，也是生的。看着那巴掌大的肉块，嘿嘿！这下我可长记性了，我夹起肉块轻轻地咬了一小口，发现里面还有血丝。最后，只有用米饭来填饱肚子了，但我打开电饭锅一看，呵！米还泡在水里呢！原来妈妈只插了电源，忘记把电饭锅的闸按下来。这时我家的猫走过来，冲我“喵喵！”直叫，我才想起来，它和我们一样没吃午饭呢。正好，那些不能吃的肉可以给它，免得扔了可惜，没想到猫闻了闻转身就走。哈哈！妈妈做的菜连猫都不吃。

这一天，我们只有饿着肚子，而厨房里的烂摊子，也只好等姥姥回来收拾了。
