一、对小学生进行吸烟有害健康的教育。

学校在高年级学生中开展吸烟有害的调查活动，让学生在调查中增加吸烟有害健康的感性认识，用调查得来的事实劝告自己的父母戒烟，用被动吸烟更有害健康的道理劝说自己的父母戒烟。在开展这些活动的同时，要求学生写“我劝父母戒烟”的文章，并进行作文竞赛和展览。真正做到“拒绝二手烟、让肺自由呼吸”。

三、教师以身作则加大宣传

学校充分利用广播站、宣传栏、黑板报、校园网等进行吸烟有害健康宣传，教育学生不要吸烟，把严禁学生吸烟写进教室公约中，同时这项活动作为学校卫生教育工作的重要内容来检查、考核。为了推动宣传教育工作，在“世界无烟日”学校把“不要在未成年人中吸烟”和“不在公共场所吸烟”作为对教师的纪律要求，巩固创建无烟学校的成果。

学校开展的活动内容体现了生动活泼、丰富多彩的形式，学生喜闻乐见，收到了优良的教育效果，同时让孩子们了解吸烟有害自己及家人的健康，吸烟更会污染环境，懂得保护环境就是从身边的点滴做起。

7月25日至8月3日，七所完全中学举办了为期10天的英语夏令营活动。此次活动是由美中教育机构(esec)和教育局联合主办，由香港施永青基金会等机构大力资助的。时光飞逝，10天的夏令营活动结束了。现对在中学开展的英语夏令营活动做一总结。

此次活动是为丰富学生的暑假生活，提高学生的英语学习兴趣，拓宽学生的视野而开展的。弥补了传统英语教学形式上的不足，丰富了学校的英语教学，激发了学生的学习兴趣，丰富了学生的英语知识，提高了学生的学习能力和团队意识。

中学的英语夏令营活动是由来自山西的3名大学生志愿者主持，由本校3名优秀英语教师辅助开展的。这种”1+1”的合作模式有利于优化课程设计，使课程更贴近学生的实际，为此次活动的顺利开展奠定了良好的基础。此次活动的主体是中学初中的百位优秀学生。来自不同年级的学生随机混合组成三个班，这样有利于实施以学生为中心的教学法，使学生相互学习，共同进步。

此次活动的课程设计是由志愿者和本校的教师参考美中教育机构提供的模板，根据当地实际情况精心设计的。志愿者和教师对课程内容灵活操作，将玩与学有机结合，寓教于乐。主体内容有意在提高英语听说读写能力的各种游戏如hot potato、who am i等和意在提高团队凝聚力的music chair、english song等。还有涉及英美文化、利用手势突破发音。此外，老师们还放映了适合初中英语学习的英文电影。志愿者还利用准备的材料和自身特长教给了孩子们一些英语歌曲和舞蹈。总之，此次活动的内容丰富，形式多样，满足了初中生的发展需求。

其次，我们很团结，遇到厚冰就一起铲；一个雪堆堆起后，就一起运走；连我们班主任也带头，和我们一起干……团结就是力量，所以我们扫得最好。

Human Activity and the Earth

There is no doubt that human activity has an effect on the planet. We see the evidence of mankind’s endeavors all around us. While some of man’s accomplishments, such as the building of transportation systems and the consistent supply of potable water, have made Earth a better place for people to live, they have not come without cost. Overall, it seems that human activity harms the Earth more than it benefits it.

For example, the transportation systems that benefit mankind also create pollution and use up valuable energy resources. While we cannot do without transportation these days, we cannot ignore the fact that it has an adverse effect on the planet. Furthermore, those advances that benefit people do not benefit al the life on Earth. Deforestation endangers many animals, and mankind’s great thirst for water and other resources leads to the extinction of many plant forms.
