Unfortunately the God of Heaven soon found out the fact and ordered the Queen Mother of the Western Heavens to bring the Weaver Maid back.

With the help of celestial cattle the Cowhand flew to heaven with his son and daughter. At the time when he was about to catch up with his wife the Queen Mother took off one of her gold hairpins and made a stroke. One billowyriver appeared in front of the Cowhand. The Cowhand and Weaver Maid were separated on the two banks forever and could only feel their tears. 这天晚上，举国上下都要张灯结彩欢度元元宵”作为食品，在我国也由来已久。宋代，民间即流行一种元宵节吃的新奇食品。这种食品，用各种果饵作馅，外面裹以糯米粉滚成丸子，煮熟后，吃起来香甜可口，饶有风趣。因为这种糯米丸子在锅中时浮时沉，所以最早叫“浮元子”，后来有人又改称为“元宵”，古时人们又称“元宵”为汤团、圆子或者粉果，生意人还美其名曰“元宝”。

古时“元宵”价钱比较贵，有一首诗说：“贵客钩帘看御街，市中珍品一时来。帘前花架无路行，不得金钱不得回。”其中“珍品”既是“元宵”。明国初年，袁世凯，篡夺成果做了大总统。他一心想当皇帝，又怕人民反对，一天到晚总是提心吊胆的。因为“元”和“袁”、“宵”与“消”同音，“元宵”有“袁世凯被消灭”之嫌。他做贼心虚，便在1913年元宵节前，下令将“元宵”改称“汤圆”。袁世凯垮台后，大部分地区又恢复了“元宵”的名称。原来中国传统文化是那么有趣的，以后我要多一点了解下中国的传统文化。
