Now I am going to show you my understanding of them, emphasizing on the first topic.

In many cases, we and those we love are easy to hurt each other because of the misunderstanding of love, the conflicts in generations and culture background, or unconsciousness.

Take Jingmei and her mother Suyuan as an example. When Suyuan demands the little Jingmei to play piano, Jingmei shouts to her mother, You can’t make me! The generation gap and culture conflict cause the misunderstanding of the mother and the daughter.

The other example is Waverly and her mother Lindo. Waverly tries her best to please Lindo in everything. Whether her mother approves or not becomes the master of all her choice. Even Waverly marries a Chinese man because Lindo likes Chinese, while she doesn’t love. Waverly doesn’t understand why Lindo disapprove or criticize whatever she has done. On the other side, Lindo thinks that her daughter is ashamed of her, which is her continual internal injury after Waverly’s winning that chess contest, when Waverly shouted to Lindo if Lindo wanted to show off, won the chest by herself. My favorite book is wrote by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. I still remember the first time I read the book, I was like in a fantastic world. The little prince is a boy who has an angelical heart, his life is also very simple-a small planet which is full of flowers and monkey bread tree seedlings. For me, society is a monster which could kill the pureness inside of my mind. I’m so grateful for reading this story. And from then on, I have a little prince live in my heart, and when I felt tired to face the society, he appeared and took me back to the clean and honest world that I’ve ever stayed in childhood. Then, I found out everything seemed so simple and life was so beautiful.

喜欢龙应台的文笔，在这个漫长的暑假，正好静下来读读龙应台的著作，这本与《孩子你慢慢来》、《目送》合称为“人生三书”的《亲爱的安德烈》，看过之后我感触良深。

这本书是龙应台与她的18岁儿子安德烈三年来互相通信的36封家书合编而成，他们年龄，文化有着很大差距，但他们都在做着努力，以了解对方的世界和心灵，就这样，龙应台认识了人生中第一个18岁的人——安德烈，安德烈也第一次认识了自己的母亲，书中母子通信涉及的内容很广：道德伦理、文化差异、普世价值、国际政治等，但是更令我感兴趣的是东西方人不同的生活方式与孩子的自立能力。

文中的安德烈是自由的，他有他所向往的青春生活，他喜欢喝酒，喜欢与朋友开派对；爱好足球，足球是他的“第二职业”；热爱旅行，满世界游览。对于我们来说，这是一个“不走正道”的孩子，但实际上他不仅爱玩，而且懂玩，他们能有比我们更多的时间思考问题，可以更多的时间去创造、去发现。当然，我们也并不是没有思考的空间，我们依然有自己的空间来思考自己感兴趣的事情，但我想，多些这样的时间，是否能让思维更开阔呢？

这本书主要讲了鲍雷伊在二年级写作水平非常差之前，他爸妈又离婚。他妈妈逼他写信给汉修先生，汉修先生给他回信，到了后来他六年级写作水平十分高超，这时他爸爸向妈妈认错，可是他妈妈拒绝了。最后他写了一篇与爸爸坐卡车去游玩的作文，入围小作家征文，从而加深了他当作家的决心。

Tom has a trusted friend, Huck Finn, who few of the adults approve of. The book is filled with ideas of how the world works, such as how pirates and robbers work, that are so innocent, they could only come from a child. It is a story filled with action, adventure, ingenious ideas, love, and schoolyard politics. The whole story is seemingly a complication of what people did or wish they did during their childhood.

The book is a little difficult to read at first. Personally, it takes me a little while to get used to the 19th century dialect in the book. Other than referring to persons of African decent in derogatory terms (which Im sure uses terms even young children already know)， the book would be an enjoyable read for people of all ages. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to feel young again, if just for a few hundred pages.

Wuthering Heights was written by Emily Bronte, it published in 1847.But at that time, it seemed to hold little promise, selling very poorly and receiving only a few mixed reviews. I found this in our school library, I chose this book because the title attracted me. Wuthering Heights is structured around two parallel love stories, the first half of the novel centering on the love between Catherine and Heathcliff, while the less dramatic second half features the developing love between young Catherine and Hareton. In contrast to the first, the latter tale ends happily, restoring peace and order to Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange. In the story, the two houses, Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange, represent opposing worlds and values.

I spent twenty days reading this book. After reading this book, I felt for Heathcliff at first. Heathcliff begins his life as a homeless orphan on the streets of Liverpool, and then he tyrannized by Hindley Earnshaw. But he becomes a villain when he acquires power and returns to Wuthering Heights with money and the trappings of a gentleman. His malevolence proves so great and long—lasting. As he himself points out, his abuse of Isabella—his wife is purely sadistic, as he amuses himself by seeing how much abuse she can take and still come cringing back for more.

Catherine represents wild nature, in both her high, lively spirits and her occasional cruelty. She loves Heathcliff so intensely that she claims they are the same person. However, her actions are driven in part by her social ambitions, which initially are awakened during her first stay at the Lintons, and which eventually compel her to marry Edgar. Catherine is free—spirited, beautiful, spoiled, and often arrogant, she is given to fits of temper, and she is torn between her both of the men who love her. The location of her coffin symbolizes the conflict that tears apart her short life. She is buried in a corner of the Kirkyard. In contrast to Catherine, Isabella Linton—Catherine’s sister—in—law represents culture and civilization, both in her refinement and in her weakness. Ultimately, she ruins her life by falling in love with Heathcliff. He never returns her feelings and treats her as a meretool in his quest for revenge on the Linton family.

Just as Isabella Linton serves as Catherine’s foil, Edgar Linton serves as Heathcliff’s. Edgar grows into a tender, constant, but cowardly man. He is almost the ideal gentleman. However, this full assortment of gentlemanly characteristics, along with his civilized virtues, proves useless in Edgar’s clashes with his foil. He sees his wife obviously in love with another man but unable to do anything to rectify the situation. Heathcliff, who gains power over his wife, sister , and daughter.

The author Emily Bronte lived an eccentric, closely guarded life. Charlottes Web is a wonderful and entertaining book, which written by E B.White. It mainly talks about the friendship between a spring pig and a spider.

A spring pig, just a simple pig wants to see the winter snow. But it should be killed at the Christmas dinner. The pig lived in the farm, where also lived many other kinds of animals, such as horses, cows, geese, a rat and a spider. And who is Charlotte ? It is the spider. At first, when the little pig came into the house, other animals didn’t like him, except a spider. She asked him be quiet so that she could work hard at night, and she would like to make friends with the pig. It made the pig so happy that he had a nice sleep. And then they became good friends. The pig told the spider that his dream, then the spider promised that she would help him to make his dream come true. In the way she made some miracles to make people know the pig cannot be killed. At last, the pig saw the winter snow but the spider died. However, the pig knew the spider was always living nearby him.
