On the court, Potter was being accused of the murderer; however, Tom declared that it was Injun Joe who used Potter’s knife to kill the young doctor. On hearing this, Injun Joe broke the glass and ran away! This scared everybody, and Tom’s brother, Sid, said that he always heard Tom mumbling something when he was asleep, and sometimes even shouting. Indeed, the accident was fluttering everybody in the town with fear.

Before, Tom once fell in love with a girl called Lawrence. And he showed off in front of the girl, trying to win the girl’s heart, but Lawrence ignored Tom’s appearance, and it made Tom sad. At present, Tom went for another girl for Becky. Yet, when Becky knew that Tom once loved Lawrence (it was probably childish thoughts), she refused Tom. Tom got so depressed that he resolutely committed the second escape.

He made contact with Huck and Joe that afternoon, about where to meet, the code words of meeting, and the route, and so on and so forth. While the boys were outside, all of the people in the town were discussing about the accidents. The town was immediately covered with a sense of doom. So the funeral was raised. Everybody wore a black suit, and they prayed something along with the priest. Just then, they saw somebody entering the gate, and what they saw was unbelievable. Three young souls came out from their coffins and showed up in front of everybody! The change of the atmosphere was imaginable. Aunt Polly, Joe Harper’s mother, Mary and Sid were astounded to find that Tom came so vivid in front of them, and so Tom and Joe became a hero in the school, even in the town.

The real adventures of Tom were finding the treasures. However, I felt that I had no energy to write more…

Before I read this book, I had watched a cartoon movie made by Japan. So I have a strong interest on it.

It all begins in the dead of winter; The Christmas Season. The coldest one of all, were the war has made fuel for heating very scarce. While her husband is off at war, Marmee is left alone to raise their four daughters: Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy.

On Christmas Eve, Marmee has just arrived home from passing out food to the less fortunate with a letter from her husband, the girls father. The all gather together around the fire to read the letter. Afterwards, the girls are teary eyed. Marmee kisses them and they are off to bed.

Jo is longing to become a writer. So, every night she stays up late writing the script for soap operas. As morning comes she is the last one awake. The table is set, and food prepared for their Christmas feast.

As dusk falls, the girls are all up in the attic acting out Jos play, which she reads from the local (fake) newspaper. As they are performing, their rich, next-door neighbors grandson watches from the window.

The 2 oldest girls: Jo and Meg, get ready to attend the Christmas Ball. While Jo is curling Megs hair, there is a strange smell to the air. Amy screams, Megs hair is being singed. They continue digging through the old clothes bin for a pair of white gloves.

One of the prominent themes in Little Women is the coming of age or maturation of the girls. During the course of the novel we see them grow in many ways -- physically, intellectually, and especially emotionally. One question which readers must ask themselves is whether the views the characters have on the coming of age process are shared by Alcott. If they arent, what are Alcotts views and how do they differ from those of the women in her story?

It is interesting to examine the last half of Chapter 20, "Confidential." Jo addresses the maturation issue as she speaks with Marmee of the situation between Meg and Mr. Brooke. The possible love between these two represents one of the very important aspects in coming of age for a teenage girl. Jo treats this natural process as if it were some sort of disease, however. Jo cannot understand why Meg would want to stop behaving "like a sensible creature" (p.202)， and refers to love as "such nonsense."

《山丘上的约会》故事最精彩的部分在于两个素未谋面的人终于决定要见面了，让人紧张心跳的也正是这一刻，两人都从对方最高的期望出发，结局如何呢？作者采用了卡通化的造型，夸张地强化了故事中两个主角的差异，不论在身高或体态上都不同。很戏剧化的是，正当玲玲抬头猛往高处寻找将会从天而降的偶像时，男主角瓜瓜也正奋力地跳上山丘去赴约呢！作者运用书本竖立时的直式版面，营造出男女主角见面时的“震憾”画面，令人拍案叫绝！故事中的主角虽然都是田墅里常见的动物，但两者的外形、习性截然不同，所以见面的过程充满了曲折、趣味。孩子在阅读时因为是旁观者，一定会觉得他们好笑，从而在轻松的气氛中理解故事的发展进程。

哇！会面的结果真是令人有些失望，书信中的印象明明不是这样的埃当满怀期盼，终于可以一睹真面目时，才发现事实和想象差了一大截。这是一个有趣又常会发生的事情。其实呢，“人生不如意事十常八九”，生活中经常会有许多的遗憾和委屈。正因为如此我们常常很努力地去避免这样的事情发生，让一切都如意顺心。结果期望越高往往失望越大，以至迷失了对事物本质的认识，我们就越来越不快乐了。试问朋友的真正意义是什么？不就是无邪的友谊分享吗，至于表面的东西也就不值得计较了。

因为人生很少能够真正地心想事成，所以我们会寄望于故事最后的美好结局，至少希望它是正面的、光明的。笔者很欣赏本书的结局。当玲玲和瓜瓜确信彼此的真正友谊存在时，决定继续山丘上的约会，再为彼此美好的友谊努力下去。真好，友谊可以不用猜疑和负担，只要彼此接纳和分享，或许这正是现代人该好好想想的课题。

“妈妈，你和我说话的方式，还是把我当作……小孩看待，你完全无法理解我是个……成人，你给我足够的自由，是的，但你知道吗?你一边给，一边觉得那是你的‘授权’或‘施予’，你并不觉得那是我本来就有的天生的权利!对，这就是你的生态啊。也就是说，你到今天都没法明白：你的儿子不是你的儿子，他是一个完全独立于你的‘别人’!”拿起《亲爱的安德烈》首先映入眼帘的便是这样一段话，瞬间一种强烈的共鸣扑面而来。的确，我们这个年龄段的人，总是会有很多自己的思想，想着走自己的路，选择自己的品味，在搞自己的游戏，并总是在心底高呼：“妈，你能不能理解，我们要自己出去探索。”这便是我们心中的独立。

而我是从何时开始变得上述般反叛的，具体自己也说不清楚。或许是我产生“这么大的人同母亲还太亲近，代表着本身人格独立性不够完整”的观念开始的。只记得去年自己当选“蠡中年度十大人物”后，家里没人知道，直到颁奖的前一天晚上，母亲才因我的一句话“明天的颁奖典礼我是获奖者之一”而得知。“什么?你?!你申请了?怎么没和我们商量?”那一刻望着母亲惊愕的表情，心底却莫名地涌起一种快感，这是这么多年来我第一次自己做决定，而且是一次成功的决定。于是每每当我想起这一经历，嘴角便会情不自禁地扬起一丝得意的笑。然而当我读到书里第三十四封信中龙应台面对儿子的独立宣言时的“惨状”，这抹浅笑满满的冻结、封存。

从未想到原来作为母亲的她们，面对这样的言语与场面是这般“无法应付”。那一刻，我首次于她们的角度开始试想。一开始的自己，只是个柔软地躺在母亲怀里的小婴儿，大声地啼哭，傻气地笑，流着口水亲切地叫着妈妈。然而，随着时间的推移，我悄然成长，一点点地变得成熟，一点点地追求独立，然后毅然地奔向那个未知的世界。这一切都在母亲的眼里，而她只能远远地站在身后，惆怅地望着我的背影，在遥远的地平线上变得越来越小……或许，在她心里依旧清晰地记得，那个柔软地躺在自己怀里无助啼哭的婴儿时代的我，而我却仿佛一夜之间变得亭亭玉立，说话干脆，做事自信，又不拈人，并且叛逆地表示，我没话想和她说。这个时候，一旁的母亲真得会很心痛吧。

书的封底，是恬淡的龙应台微笑的样子。再优秀强悍的女人，在孩子面前，也只是一个焦虑地帮助他在迷途中寻找出口的平凡母亲，一个愿意放下自己所有的尊严，忍受孩子的嘲笑的母亲，一个做这一切，只是为了重新找回这个属于自己的孩子的可敬母亲。

When I heard the name of this novel, I thought it was a horror fiction. But after reading it , I find it is a interesting story.

In the novel, dead man’s island was a funny island; there was a dead man living there. The heroine---Carol Sanders started to abandon herself to taking drugs after her father’s death. Her mother took her to a new place to help her forget the past. They came to London. There her mother got a job which took them to the dead man’s island. In fact , it’s a small private island in Scotland. The owner of the island is Mr. Ross.

Everything went well. But Carol Sander found something strange: Never took photographs of Mr. Ross and there is a strange room locked.

Why did Mrs. Ross have so much money to buy a island? Why can’t take photographs of Ms. Ross? Why did Mr. Ross have a room locked?

It’s really absorbing. I want to get all the answers.

In fact, there was a big secret about this island. Mr. Ross was a pop singer in the past. His real name is Jack Rosso. He had taken drugs and killed a young girl when he was a singer. She is the warm sun of Alexis, she tried her best to protect Alexis. His two uncles wants to get his fathermoney and always fight with their father. The old couple were very disappointed with their son. Finally, the old man decided to separate with them. He sold the old house and bought another home in the city. At that time , his mother came home and married with another man and had a little boy. His stepfather often maltreats his wife and disappeared some days later. He grandfather wanted to earn more money and sold the house. He lent the money to others in order to get more interest and rented a small room to live. He got more and more stingy and did not give any money to his wife. Alexis and his grandmother have to make money by themselves. After some days, his mother got ill and his grandmother was also unhealthy. Unfortunately, his mother died at last. He lost his dear mother. His grandfather did not want to bring him up and let him get out of the home to live in the society by himself. Then he left the home, it also means that his childhood was over.

Personal understanding:

After reading this novel, I can not calm down for a long time. He was so young and lives in such a cold family. He almost never gets the love form his parents. In fact ,the writer wanted to express himself through Alexis. Alexis was like himself. Gorky expressed his childhood through Alexis. This book makes me realize these ugly people at that time. If we with compare our childhood with Gorkys, we would think his childhood is too pathetic.

I want to express my feeling to Alexis. He was young and he did not receive good education. He lived with the fights and quarrels of his families. He was unlucky but he still knew how to be a good person. We are so lucky to live in a warm family. But most of us are not satisfied with it and we want more. We do not know how to cherish the things we have. We often ask for everything from our parents and depend them too much. If someone bully us outside, our parents will encourage us, but for Alexis, nobody will help him and his grandfather even maltreats him. What a poor boy he is. Now, we should realize that we should depend on ourselves and cherish our families. Facing the difficulties by ourselves and try to be confident to life. There must be something that make us despairing, however we should learn form the author and look for the happiness from the pain and look for the hope from the despair. Try to be a kind and optimistic person, never lose confidence. Our future will be bright.

The next aspect in the novel is the old man, the grandfather of Alexis. What a selfish man he is. Alexis was his grandson, he did not care about him but maltreat him. His wife born three children for him but he did not love her at all. He just love his money. His character represented many people at that time. And the author wanted to satirize these people by this character. He was an important character in this novel and an important person for Alexis. But he did not be responsible for Alexis. Alexis was so unlucky to have such a bad grandfather. And his grandmother was so unlucky to have such a violent husband.

The most kind and pitiful person was Alexisgrandmother. She was the most attractive woman in the literal history of Russia. She did not live a happy day in her whole life. She was so industrious and simple, maybe she just want a simple life. She just want her children could be happy and her husband could love her even did not maltreat her. But her simple dream did not come true. It was unfair for such a kind woman. She lived an unhappy life everyday, but she still love her grandson. She represented these industrious woman at that time. She gave her love to Alexis and hold the broken family. She was so tried everyday with the housework and the maltreatment. I sympathize her very much. She was moved by those money earned by Alexis and Alexis was the hope to her. They encouraged each other to live a bright life.

After reading this book, I think the most important thing is to be strong. Gorky was strong enough to grow up in such a bad environment and became an excellent writer. The society is developing fast but the people are becoming fragile. We must experience some difficulties in our life. After reading the last page , Alexiss childhood was over , there is a different life waiting for him.

I  read the Chinese version of “Camille” a few years ago.

我读了中国版的“卡米尔”几年前。

At that time I was deeply moved by the main character Marguerite Gautier.

当时我深受感动的主人公玛格丽特戈蒂埃是绘图。

“Camille” or “The Lady of the Camellias” by Alexandre Dumas, fils, is the story of Marguerite Gautier, a young courtesan, or kept woman, in Paris in the mid 1800s, and how she falls in love with a young man, Armand Duval, and then tries to escape from her questionable past.

Unfortunately, it comes back to haunt her and she ends up returning to that life and dies painfully and alone, but with the knowledge that she was a noble woman at heart.

When I first began to read the book, I did not care for Marguerite or her attitude or lifestyle, but as I got further into the narrative, I realized that her saucy attitude was a front to cover the lonely woman that she really was.

It must have taken great courage for Marguerite to leave the life she had lived for so long, knowing all along that it was probably too good to be true and would not last indefinitely.

And it also showed that Marguerite really loved Armand Duval for she could even change herself for him.

These days, I finished reading a book, called "oliver twist"

"Oliver twist" is one of the biggest British novelist, Charles Dickenss 1838 novel, is also one of his representative works.

This book reflects the early 19th century British society at the bottom of the life, the hero oliver, let me very sympathetic to the sad. He was 11 years old, but in life, every day do not have enough to eat and wear not warm, and a few times go den, but he didnt and they together crime, would rather tortured colluding with them, and with a strong will to resist the bad bullying and temptation, later merry lady saved oliver, and took him in. After a period of time, and oliver lived a happy life.

After read this book, my heart cant be calm once in a long time, the heroines age and I like big, but, compared with his, our life is how of happiness, but we still dont meet, meet a little difficult, give up, lack of willpower. I want to learn oliver, strong quality, overcome all difficulties and obstacles, to cherish everything now, study hard, become a useful person to society.

《雾都孤儿》是英国最大的小说家——狄更斯在1838年创作的一部长篇小说，也是他的代表作之一。

这本书反映了19世纪初英国社会最底层的生活，主人公奥利弗尔悲惨遭遇让我非常同情。他才11岁，却过着非人的生活，每天吃不饱，穿不暖，并且几次误入贼窝，但他没有和他们一起犯罪，宁肯受尽折磨也不和他们同流合污，并且用坚强的意志抵制坏人的威逼和诱惑，后来梅里夫人救了奥利弗尔并且好心收留了他。经过一段时间，奥利弗过上了幸福的生活。

看完这本书后，我的心情久久不能平静，文中主人公的年龄和我一样大，可是，和他相比，我们的生活是多么的幸福，但是我们却还是不满足，遇到一点小小的困难，就放弃，缺少意志力。我要学习奥利弗尔的坚强品质，克服一切艰难险阻，珍惜现在的一切，刻苦学习，成为一个对社会有用的人。

我们现在丰衣足食，要什么有什么，又是父母的“掌上明珠”、“心肝宝贝”哪能和高尔基那悲惨的童年相提并论，年代的不同就是这差别，一个是天堂，一个是地狱；一个充满阳光，一个到处黑暗。我们现在的童年来之不易啊！童年充满着欢乐，童年到处是温暖，童年是值得回忆的相机，童年爱满心窝！而高尔基的童年除了一些教育和友谊，没有什么再值得回忆！

Pride and Prejudice is a chefdoeuvre. But my first impression of this story was from screen.

Its long long ago, maybe before I can read english books. I dont remember which movie edition I had seen. But I was impressed by the music, the scenery and the costume. I was very favor of a section of music in its balls. Its pretty brisk, liked a wonderful song of a bird. Regarding to the characters, I liked Elizabeth, the heroine,though I didnt think shes beautiful. But shes smart. However, I didnt pay much attention to the plot. I thought its so long that it made me impatient and bored. By now, I havent read the whole story in English or its Chinese version, either. I owe it to my prejudice.

In fact, I didnt understand the story at that time. I didnt know why it called Pride and Prejudice. Of course someone was pride, but I didnt find where s the prejudice. I thought its normal, the way people treated each other in that. I considered prejudice would be very disgusting. But to the movie everthing was OK in my minds, except its length. Now, I think I have understood more about it. Im a prejudiced person so I cant find wheres wrong. I merely like to do the things I like. Everytime I meet somebody or something,my thinking about he or it all depends on my foregone experience and my mood of the time. I like it so just like it, if not so just not. Im a person thinking by heart not by brain. What is worse, I actually didnt think its wrong. I thought everyone is all like that.Everyone has his special way to cognize the world. So its individuality, not prejudice. But I think something is wrong. Though everyone can judge in the way he likes, he cant ignore other ones. You can like what you like and hate what you hate, but you should be objective when you meet external world. I think it means that you should consider things roundly, not just partial. Individuality is different from prejudice. What is it? I need to think more.
