In this occasion, the pilot makes the acquaintance of the little prince, a little boy from another planet, the Asteroid B612. The little prince has escaped from his tiny planet, because he has some quarrel with a rose, which grows on his planet. In that case he left his own planet and took an exploration at some neighbor asteroids.

On his all-alone journey, the little prince meets different kinds of people, which includes a king, a conceited man, a tippler, a businessman, a lamplighter and a geographer. “妈妈，你和我说话的方式，还是把我当作……小孩看待，你完全无法理解我是个……成人，你给我足够的自由，是的，但你知道吗?你一边给，一边觉得那是你的‘授权’或‘施予’，你并不觉得那是我本来就有的天生的权利!对，这就是你的生态啊。也就是说，你到今天都没法明白：你的儿子不是你的儿子，他是一个完全独立于你的‘别人’!”拿起《亲爱的安德烈》首先映入眼帘的便是这样一段话，瞬间一种强烈的共鸣扑面而来。的确，我们这个年龄段的人，总是会有很多自己的思想，想着走自己的路，选择自己的品味，在搞自己的游戏，并总是在心底高呼：“妈，你能不能理解，我们要自己出去探索。”这便是我们心中的独立。

而我是从何时开始变得上述般反叛的，具体自己也说不清楚。或许是我产生“这么大的人同母亲还太亲近，代表着本身人格独立性不够完整”的观念开始的。只记得去年自己当选“蠡中年度十大人物”后，家里没人知道，直到颁奖的前一天晚上，母亲才因我的一句话“明天的颁奖典礼我是获奖者之一”而得知。“什么?你?!你申请了?怎么没和我们商量?”那一刻望着母亲惊愕的表情，心底却莫名地涌起一种快感，这是这么多年来我第一次自己做决定，而且是一次成功的决定。于是每每当我想起这一经历，嘴角便会情不自禁地扬起一丝得意的笑。然而当我读到书里第三十四封信中龙应台面对儿子的独立宣言时的“惨状”，这抹浅笑满满的冻结、封存。

从未想到原来作为母亲的她们，面对这样的言语与场面是这般“无法应付”。那一刻，我首次于她们的角度开始试想。一开始的自己，只是个柔软地躺在母亲怀里的小婴儿，大声地啼哭，傻气地笑，流着口水亲切地叫着妈妈。然而，随着时间的推移，我悄然成长，一点点地变得成熟，一点点地追求独立，然后毅然地奔向那个未知的世界。这一切都在母亲的眼里，而她只能远远地站在身后，惆怅地望着我的背影，在遥远的地平线上变得越来越小……或许，在她心里依旧清晰地记得，那个柔软地躺在自己怀里无助啼哭的婴儿时代的我，而我却仿佛一夜之间变得亭亭玉立，说话干脆，做事自信，又不拈人，并且叛逆地表示，我没话想和她说。这个时候，一旁的母亲真得会很心痛吧。

此时再回想自己，在这羽翼还未丰满之际，就早已想方设法地追求“独立”，是否的确疏忽甚至在无形中伤害了有着中国“保护式”教育心理的母亲。

一番沉思之后，目光再一次回到手中的书上。书的封面，是英俊的安德烈沉思的样子。蓦然发现再叛逆的孩子，在母亲面前，其实仍然只是一个孤独成长的少年，一个面对学习、情感、生活常常困惑，却努力地去适应和排解的少年，一个拥有和自己一样血液的优秀、感性、率真、诚实、幽默……的可爱少年。

书的封底，是恬淡的龙应台微笑的样子。再优秀强悍的女人，在孩子面前，也只是一个焦虑地帮助他在迷途中寻找出口的平凡母亲，一个愿意放下自己所有的尊严，忍受孩子的嘲笑的母亲，一个做这一切，只是为了重新找回这个属于自己的孩子的可敬母亲。
