有美国“音乐山水画家”之称作曲家格罗菲1920年游历了大峡谷之后，激起了强烈的创作欲望。此后他用了近十年的时间，多次前往大峡谷观察、体验，以其鲜明的音乐形象描绘大峡谷的雄伟、壮观和变幻无穷的美，创作出《大峡谷》交响组曲，被称为“一部用音符写成的游记”。

到大峡谷，第一眼就感受到从未有过的震慑和惊异。感叹在现代文明不断征服大自然的同时，却仍然留下了如此壮丽的原始洪荒。描绘大峡谷是十分困难的，你很难用语言表达大峡谷的景色，只能在亲临大峡谷后，用心灵去感知她的庄严、静穆和深邃，领略造物主赋予大峡谷的瞬息变幻和亿万年的寂寥。

大峡谷位于北美洲内陆，横贯于亚利桑那州和犹他州之间。这里气候干燥，幅员辽阔，有奇岩、红土、峡谷和印第安风情。美国西部电影里，常常描绘的一百年前那些劫富济贫、匡扶正义的孤胆英雄或牛仔豪杰，骑马挎枪，风驰电掣地走过寸草不生的红土峡谷，越过激流汹涌的科罗拉多河，以及夕阳斜照下无边无际、路途茫茫的如画镜头，大都是在这里拍摄的。美国西部西南四州——亚利桑那州、犹他州、科罗拉多州、新墨西哥州，也自然成为旅游者体验西部牛仔生活的理想之地。

在大峡谷国家公园的电影院里，有世界最大的银幕，诠释着大峡谷的历史和变迁。亿万年前，这里也同喜马拉雅山一样，曾是一片汪洋大海，造山运动使它崛起。然而由于石质松软，经过数百万年湍急的科罗拉多河的冲刷，两岸岩壁被磨擦切割成今天全长近400公里、宽约20公里、平均深度1500米的世界著名大峡谷。

如今俯瞰峡谷，科罗拉多河静静地像一条绿色的飘带，镶嵌在谷底，蜿蜒曲折，波光粼粼。真难以想像，就是这样一条“小河”，曾经带着上百万吨泥沙，用260万年的时间咆哮冲刷而下，从科罗拉多州西南冲向犹他州格兰峡谷，最终到达平静如镜的鲍维尔湖，才造就了今天我们看到的亚利桑那州那原始蛮荒、苍茫幽邃且壮美神奇的科罗拉多大峡谷。正像当代美国作家弗兰克·沃特斯(FrankWaters)对大峡谷的评价：“这是大自然各个侧面的凝聚点，这是大自然同时的微笑和恐惧，在它的内心充满如生命宇宙脱缰的野性愤怒，同时又饱含着愤怒平息后的清纯，这就是创造。”大峡谷创造了美，创造了一种境界，一种令人永难忘怀的感动和思绪。

Firstly,it is an enormous waste of your precious time.As a student,we are supposed to concentrate our attention on our studies.Secondly, it does great physical harm to your if you are stay up so often.You are likely to suffer from body imbalance as a result of exhaustion.Thirdly,your mental health will be seriously affected,too.If you completely immerse yourself in the unreal world and deviate yourself from your parents and friends,you will end up feeling lonely and isolated in the real word.
