When he was the commander in charge of the appointment and dismissal of the local officials, both Gongsun Hong and Zhang Tang were low -ranking lfficials of little importance. Later ,they were promoted continuously. Gongsun Hong became the prime minister and Zhang Tang became the imperial censor. However, JiAns post remained thesame. One day, Ji An said to Emperor Wudi that the way the emperor used his ministers was just like piling up firewood, which meant that the latecomers surpassed the old-timers. Of course, Emperor Wudi could see that Ji An was complaining. So,turning to his ministers, Emperor Wudi said, "It is true that no one can stop learning.You see, Ji An is making more and more indiscreet remarks."

This story comes from The Historical Records. Later generations use the set phrase "the latecomers surpass the old-timers " to indicate that successors can cxcel the predecessors, which is quite different from the original idea when Ji An said that the latecomers surpassed the old-timers.

As we know, many people favor the idea that the college life is free and

Thirdly, I also visit the library constantly. It’s said that “shelves of

.When I’m sad, lost or in trouble, staying the library makes me quiet and

comfortable. After all, every life has bad moments as well as good ones, and the

library for me is a support in bad moments. So it’s wise choice for me to stay

in the library.

Finally, I often do other things in my spare time. In order to alleviate

parents’ burden, I often do some part-time jobs and write some articles to earn

money. It helps me to be independent and improve my social skills.

In short, my life in university is busy but valuable. You can see that

study brings me knowledge, student activities improve myself, library changes my

horizons, the others things make me independent. They get all my abilities

trained. And I see that the chance will come only if you have a prepared mind,

so I’m sure that I can achieve my dreams in college life.

My winter holiday was very interesting.As that day i got back to my native hometown,cousins and cousines took me to ski.My skiing skill isnt good,got down for 15 times,they laughed at me behind,i cant help smiling， too.The day of Spring Festival was the most happiness day,we had meal for the first,a table of delicious food,that made me so glad.Then we played the fireworks.The childrens waving the lightening ticket while watching the adults playing the fireworks.That was so beautiful!Like the stars rainning down the world.At the end,it was time to get the red bag.we were very exciting,and satisfied.Sometimes,we also went shopping and bought something we like. 早上起来，天刚刚亮，农民伯伯早已到地里干活去了。留在家里没事儿干，于是我就去后院推磨，准备中午来做豆腐。我从仓库里装了一些黄豆，在水井里舀一盆清水，将黄豆泡软后便开始推磨。我从石磨上的孔上方装入黄豆，加入一点清水。推磨得讲究方法，不能只往前加力，要顺着石磨转动方向绕圈。我一开始只往右边用力，结果磨被卡住了。我用了很大的力才将磨拉回来，又开始推。俗话说“吃一堑，长一智”，这次我可学会绕圆圈了。石磨旁流出的豆浆又白又香，今天的豆腐肯定很好吃！

下午，大人们都出去收晒干的稻谷了。我就帮大人们准备机器。我按照大人们所吩咐的那样，从储物间搬出了一台大机器。这台机器有三个出口，而且还有一个能转的手柄。我百思不得其解，这是干什么的呢？我朝着中间的出口看了看，哟，里面还有把风扇呢！我更奇怪了，难道它是拿来扇风的吗？这时，外公提着一个装满晒干的稻谷篮子走来了，他叫我在他往下倒谷子的时候转动手柄。外公开始倒谷子了，哇，一颗颗空谷壳飞了出去！原来，这叫吹谷机，是用来吹走空谷壳的。

When I was young at high school,I couldnt stop dreaming about my college life again and again.Suffering too much pressure form college entrance test,I always admired college students for their relaxed life in college.

In my personal opinion,living in university is  an enjoyment.Every day we can open our eyes naturally,and put on clothes in our own style without warring about teachers rigid control.Communicating with great master is no longer beyond our reach.Each course we take can be a feast for our mind and soul.After class,we will lead a rich and colorful life filled with various leisure activities such as .Library in  university is another factor I pursue.I think its an access to enhancing our comprehensive abilities to read even just scan all  sorts of
