I have dinner at about 6:30 p.m.. After dinner, I often go to the outside to play games with my friends. We live near to each other, so we always play together. 当我偶然地拿起这本书并翻了几页时，就再也放不下了。这本路甬祥主编的《科学改变人类生活的119个伟大瞬间》让我了解了二十世纪科学创造的119个奇迹，了解了原来在我们的周围科学随处可见。

读完了这本书，好像连世界都不一样了：在吃无籽西瓜时，我会想到培养出无籽西瓜的黄昌贤伯伯；当舒舒服服地躺在沙发上看电视时，会想到发明电视的英国发明家贝尔德；用圆珠笔写字时，脑子里又会迸出匈牙利人拉迪斯劳·比罗的名字。

他们是天才吗？这个问题很难否定。他们这些科学巨人是因为自己是天才才发现种种问题的吗？不完全是。每一个故事都表明这些科学巨人都是通过仔细观察、认真思考、反复试验才能发现问题并合理解释问题或把这个发现应用到实际生活中去的。

我也学习他们在生活中找了一些小发现：下雨天，雨棚上有积水，阳光透过水照到墙上，就会留下一个模模糊糊的光斑，其实和放大镜聚光的原理一样，阳光穿过水时被水折射，聚焦到了一起，就产生了这个光斑；坐车到内蒙古玩的时候，薯片包装袋鼓的跟个气囊似的，一压就爆，就是因为内蒙古的海拔高，气压低，薯片包装袋里的气压比外面的气压大，当然就鼓起来了，矿泉水、饮料涨包也是这个原因。看这本书之前竟从未注意过这些小细节。

这本书对我的影响很大，让我了解了很多科学知识。科学其实无处不在，有时你觉得自己看不到，不是因为没有科学，而是因为你没有认真观察。这本书告诉我：只要你认真观察，就一定可以发现科学的奥秘。

低碳生活Low Carbon Life

In recent years, the global warming gets increasingly attention. More and more people make contribution to stop the global warming. Therefore, a new lifestyle occurs--low carbon life. What can we do to live in low carbon?

近几年，全球气候变暖越来越得到关注。越来越多的人为阻止全球变暖做出贡献。因此，一种新的生活方式诞生了——低碳生活。在低碳生活中我们可以做些什么呢？

First, remember to turn off lights and turn off the faucet when you do not need to use. Use the energy-saving lamps. There are many small things we can do to save resources. Second, when we go out, take public transport as much as possible, to reduce gas emissions and to ease the transporting pressures.

首先，但你不需要用电和水的时候，记得把灯和水龙头关掉。使用节能灯。我们可以做很多小事来节省资源。其次，当我们外出的时候，尽可能乘坐公共交通以减少气体排放和缓解交通压力。

All in all, there are many other things we can do to live in the low carbon life. It needs us to do something practically. If everyone can keep this lifestyle from now on, it will greatly change the situation and our home would become more beautiful.

总之，为了低碳生活，我们可以做很多事。它需要我们做出一些实际行动。如果每个人能够从现在起保持这种生活方式，情况将得到很大改善，我们的家园会变得更美丽。
