I read the Chinese version of “Camille” a few years ago. At that time I was deeply moved by the main character Marguerite Gautier. “Camille” or “The Lady of the Camellias” by Alexandre Dumas, fils, is the story of Marguerite Gautier, a young courtesan, or kept woman, in Paris in the mid 1800s, and how she falls in love with a young man, Armand Duval, and then tries to escape from her questionable past. Unfortunately, it comes back to haunt her and she ends up returning to that life and dies painfully and alone, but with the knowledge that she was a noble woman at heart. When I first began to read the book, I did not care for Marguerite or her attitude or lifestyle, but as I got further into the narrative, I realized that her saucy attitude was a front to cover the lonely woman that she really was. She felt used, abused and unloved, until the gentle Armand Duval came into her life and showed her that he loved her as a person and not for what she could do for him. It must have taken great courage for Marguerite to leave the life she had lived for so long, knowing all along that it was probably too good to be true and would not last indefinitely. And it also showed that Marguerite really loved Armand Duval for she could even change herself for him.

However, happiness didn’t last for long. When M. Duval, Armands father, came to her, pleading for her to leave Armand to save both Armands reputation and that of his younger innocent sister, Marguerite saw a way to become pure of heart, if not in body. She felt that it was her duty, because she loved Armand so much, to do this even though it meant giving up her own happiness and hurting Armand temporarily. She reluctantly returned to her former life, knowing that some day Armand would forgive her. Sadly, she died in debt and basically alone, except for her one female friend, Julie Duprat, who helped her during her illness. She had her journal sent to Armand after her death, explaining why she had made the choices she had. I think Dumass last few lines about Marguerite being the exception, not the rule were quite true, and I also agreed with his view that while her lifestyle could not be condoned, we as a society assume that all of these type of women are cold and heartless, while this may not always be the case. A person can make the wrong choices in life when they are young, and try to redeem themselves, but sometimes past situations prevent them from changing their lives, even though they desperately wish to do so. This applies to both men and women in many different types of circumstances: involvement in crime; drug or alcohol abuse; gambling; prostitution; financial problems; poor marriage choices; etc. And this is the fact, which exists in the whole society.

As far as the other characters in the book, I think Marguerite was right in saying that no one truly cared about her, but only wanted something from her, the only exceptions being Armand and Julie Duprat. Of course, the Comte de G. and Comte de N. wanted her body and appearance. The Duke needed to “wake up and smell the coffee” and realize that she could never replace his dead daughter. If he truly cared, he could have helped her leave her lifestyle without “keeping” her himself. And lastly, Prudence was a blood-sucking leech who used Marguerite almost worse than the men. I also think she was jealous of the fact that Marguerite had so much more courage than herself and someone truly loved her.

随后，我们去玩了海盗船，这个比摩天轮还要刺激，紧张的不要不要的，适应了一会以后感觉好多了，想着，还蛮好玩的。左右左右，像一只摇摇摆摆的企鹅一样，不一会儿它便停了下来。

记不清了，大概是从早上一直玩到了中午的一两点左右，肚子咕咕地在叫，就去路边的便利店买了一些零食，都是我和弟弟超爱吃的那种，尤其是奶油面包很赞。吃饱喝足，继续走起。

Now the earth is in bad condition. For example, in some places, the air and water pollution is so serious that it causes many deaths. At the same time, many animals and plants are in danger because of the destruction of their habitats.

Luckily, we human beings have realized the problem. On April 22nd, millions of people across the world do something good for the earth. Some clean up beaches and water, some pick up rubbish, others give speeches to call on more people to take action. But can we save the earth only by one day’s work? The future of our planet depends on our efforts. What we should do is to make every day Earth Day. Only by taking good care of it every day can we hope to live in harmony with nature.

Since I went to college, I feel so excited about the new chapter of my

life. I have imagined the campus life for so many years. Now I finally come to

this stage. I have much time after class, so I need to learn to deal with it.

After two years’ struggling, I find the right way to spend my time.

The first thing for every college student is to learn major knowledge. In

China, so many students think college time is used to play instead of study, so

they skip class. This is a big mistake. College is the stage for students to

master practical skills, which decides what kind of job they will work on. So I

study very hard from Monday to Friday. I don’t want to miss the important

The second thing for college students is to join the after-class

Today, the chinese teacher taught us some English songs. I like the song which is called ”seasons in the sun” very much. We all lost ourselves in the beautiful voice. Today our theme is youth. The Dragon Boat Festival, also called Double Fifth Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth moon of the lunar calendar. It is one of the most important Chinese festivals, the other two being the Autumn Moon Festival and Chinese New Year。

The origin of this summer festival centers around a scholarly government official named Chu Yuan. He was a good and respected man, but because of the misdeeds of jealous rivals he eventually fell into disfavor in the emperors court。

Unable to regain the respect of the emperor, in his sorrow Chu Yuan threw himself into the Mi Low river. Because of their admiration for Chu Yuan, the local people living adjacent to the Mi Lo River rushed into their boats to search for him while throwing rice into the waters to appease the river dragons。

Although they were unable to find Chu Yuan, their efforts are still commemorated today during the Dragon Boat Festival。

渤海之滨，海浪迭起。一阵阵海风在浪花里跳跃前行，夹杂着海水淡淡的腥味，给沙滩上的人们送来凉意。金黄色的沙滩被柔和的海浪冲击着，不时涌现几粒小小的贝壳。鸥鸟时而自由翱翔，时而掠过海面，时而仰天长啸。但观此海，波光粼粼，辽阔无垠。极目远眺，则天海合一，似有“秋水共长天一色”之景。它用宽广的胸襟表达了对生命的珍惜，用澎湃的海浪表达了对生命的热爱，它想让更多的生物，能够自由地、无忧无虑地在他们的怀抱中生长!

天津人仿佛按下了慢进键，不慌不忙，不急不躁。这座城市被他们收拾得整洁、大气，一片安然与宁静，极富有亲和力。这里的人们做着自己喜欢做的事，或舒适地驾车兜风、或休闲地骑着单车，他们的脸上写满了小康与幸福。“绿树路边合，高楼郭外斜”。海河穿城而过，平静的河面下养育了数不清的鱼虾，虽不比“夕阳欲颓，沉鳞竞跃”，也酷似“游鱼细石，直视无碍”了。惹得那些清闲的老爷爷老奶奶，端个板凳，提上鱼竿，脚边一瓶白酒，就一边哼曲吃酒，一边瞅着鱼儿上钩。好一个“世外桃源”!

天津城自建成以来，已有六百余年的历史了。与中华大地上的其它古城相比，历史可能并不算悠久。但是，回想当年，八国联军，侵占大沽口，在天津城肆意妄为;又忆解放前夕，平津战役，中国共产党顺利进驻天津城，正式解放天津。如今，高楼大厦如雨后春笋般地拔地而起，天津逐渐成为国际性大都市。

北国大地，海风浩荡，叹不尽的是辛酸的历史。万类霜天，竞争自由，感不尽的是宽广的胸襟。津门街道，人来人往，赞不尽的是淡泊的情怀。

印象中的天津，犹如一杯不加糖的咖啡，苦涩，醇香，久久地萦绕在舌尖，吊着你的味蕾，舍不得，放不下……

The people I respect the most is my father. He is a doctor. He always busy

with work. Since I can remember, he never spent a whole weekend to stay with me.

He goes to the hospital very early before I get up, and comes back home after I

sleep. But I doesn’t matter at all, he is hero to me. He devotes almost all the

time to his patients, many lives are saved. He always said, a man should have

dignity, integrity, honor, and most of all, be helpful to others. This affected

me deeply, so I work hard so that someday I could be the man like my father.

Many traditional arts are losing nowadays, because some of them have been

replaced by the new machines and the scientific products. I feel so sorry about

the losing arts, in my opinion, they are so classic and their charm will never

fade away. Take my grandma for example. She is good at paper-cut which was

inherited from her mother. But when comes to my mother’s generation, paper-cut

seems to be kicked out, there are less people need it, so my mother doesn’t

learn this skill. The paper-cut art is losing in my family. When I found my

grandma had this skill, I was so surprised and curious about it. I asked my

grandma to teach me this skill. During the process, I found this art was so

great, I was attracted by it. Some traditional arts like paper-cup should be

kept.

窗帘忽然被高高地抛起，窗外的大树左右摇晃，发出“沙——沙”的声响，啊，是风!我走到窗前，秋风迎面吹来，吹散了成长的烦恼，吹散了所有的不愉快。我闭上双眼，任由风把我带回了童年……

“风哥哥!风哥哥!你在哪里?出来吧!”年少无知的我正在田野上与风玩捉迷藏。风哥哥在哪儿?我踮起脚尖，寻找。金黄色的麦田如一幅美丽的画卷向远方展去，平静。蔚蓝的天空飘过朵朵浮云。橘子树上的果实如一串串火红的小灯笼，一个个地挂在树上，那自然的清香引来几只花蝴蝶在橘子上驻留。一切，都洋溢着秋天的成熟气息。可是，风哥哥在哪儿呀?我怎么看不见他。

“沙沙沙!”橘子树发出了声响，深绿色的叶子在欢快地鼓掌。花蝴蝶被吓到了，纷纷拍打着翅膀飞走了。呵!是风哥哥，只有风哥哥才有让大树们发出热烈的掌声。“风哥哥，我找到你了!呵呵，你输了，你输了，现在换成你抓我，闭上眼睛，不要偷看哦!”

我转过身，向麦田跑去，我跑到麦田里，蹲下了。一定不能让风哥哥找到我。我小心翼翼地抬起头，看到风哥哥正在一棵棵橘树伯伯下找我呢!橘树伯伯一起摇起头来，表示没看见。正当我幸灾乐祸时橘树伯伯们突然不动了，我连忙蹲下来，屏住呼吸，头趴在土地上。一动不动，忽然，我觉得脖子痒痒的，转过头去，发现一株麦子正懒懒地依在我的脖子上，顷刻间，麦田里泛起大浪，我仿佛听到风哥哥那银铃般的笑声：“呵呵呵!我找到你了，呵呵——”于是，整个下午，我和风哥哥玩了许许多多次的捉迷藏，乐此不疲。

风停了，我的思绪又被拉了回来。窗外又是一片宁静。再也找不到儿时的风哥哥，童年的风似乎已消失不见，每天在为作业而奋斗，连吹风的机会都微乎其微，更别说与风抓迷藏了。就算追到了，可是总觉风少了一种让我留恋的味道，童年的风啊!是否已经消失在天边?
